Chapter 46
The secretary looked shocked. She suddenly started stuttering " Good....d....day ma,b....but he's in a meeting right now I'll let him know of your arrival once the meeting ends" .
" Alright lead the way" I said as she took me into the office.
I was amazed at how Damien's office looked,it looked so cool. He had some of his paintings on the wall and the choice of color were just perfect,loads of business related books were on the shelf.
" I can't wait to have some of those" I said absentmindedly.
Some of his awards were displayed on show too and for some reason I felt like a stranger in his office because I know nothing about the history of the room and how the awards came to be.
I sat on the comfy couch in the office with my legs crossed,a lady brought in a coffee and I thanked her with a smile which I think was a mistake because she couldn't stop grinning and it felt like she was about to burst out from the joy within her.
I then called her back and handed her a box of sweets with pack of cards with " thank you for your good work " written on them. I bought them on the way to the company.
" I thought coming in for the first time empty handed isn't nice so please share this with the other employees " I said.
The lady appreciated me and then left with the gifts.

It's been over an hour waiting for Damien and so I thought of heading back home,but remembering I'll be home alone made me stay back . My eyelids were about closing up as I sat on the couch so I took a book from the shelf just to keep me awake but I dozed off after a while.
I woke up and was surprised to meet myself laying down on the couch with a blanket on me.
" You're awake " Damien said.
I sat up and checked the time it was 2pm
" oh my...I must've slept for a long time "
Damien came to sit with me on the couch
" You didn't tell me you were coming "
" I came to give you and your employees a surprise " I replied happily.
He tuck my hair behind my ear and said
" You have no idea how distracting seeing you sleep was and how much distraction your presence has caused my employees"
" Oh really.... I'm sorry,I didn't think I would cause so much trouble. I just thought I should come know your office " I apologized.
" I love it!" He replied,I gave a puzzled look and so he said " I love having you here,thanks for coming and also for giving my employees gifts. You didn't have to do that though "
I felt at ease and smiled.
" Let me go now so you all can concentrate on your work " I said as I stood up to leave but he grabbed my hand and dragged me back to sit on the couch he then moved closer and placed his lips on mine in a kiss. It wasn't different from the first kiss we had at the penthouse,it was passionate.
We stopped when we heard some arguments going on by the door. We both stood up
" Let me go see " Damien said and I nodded.
Damien didn't get to the door before someone bust in.
" Clark?" I was surprised to see him in Damien's office.
" I'm sorry sir but I tried to stop him from coming in" The secretary said almost trembling.
" it's fine,you can go back to your post" Damien instructed.
Clark came towards me and said " I didn't know you'd be here"
" What are you doing here and why did you leave so suddenly the other day at the airport" I enquired
" I came to see Damien,....to warn him actually " He replied and left me to have a face with Damien. He the statement ' to warn him 'in a way that seemed more like he was challenging Damien.
" Stay away from Seraphine,I know you are toying with her feelings because she's innocent and naive but you can never get what you want,not when I'm alive. If you love your life just back off " he threatened.
" Hey young man ,you can't just come into my office to threaten me to leave my wife. Does that sound sane to you?" Damien said with a little bit of humor.
Clark grabbed Damien's collar and said
" Don't you understand all I'm saying?"
Damien moved Clark's hands off his shirt and said " I think I've been patient enough,I'd like you to leave my office now". Damien left his presence and came to me
" Babe,let me see you off" He said.
I looked over to Clark but he didn't take his eyes off me,it was as if I would be in trouble if I leave with Damien .
" What am I going to do?" I muttered under my breath silently.
