Chapter 17 - Nineth Immortal returns

Tyr swallows five branches of Black weed one after the other. The effects don't stack, but it should extend the time of healing enough for him to get most of the loot. Tyr rushes in. The reason for his precaution is sometimes people have their own death trigger items or skills. Tyr works quickly, focusing first on the items from the Deadwood first. He only needs to touch the pile and all the items come into his inventory. Large descriptive windows of each item.

Tyr doesn't take time to inspect what he got but changes the setting to simplified. This means that he will just get an acquired loot notification and nothing more. His bag space has fifty free slots that can be stacked fifty times. He has just under half of his inventory space available. The player items are the most common drops. With his luck, he found pieces for his entire body, including the utility slots like the necklace. He loots most of the dead players, leaving as soon as the smoke clears. The explosion has attracted a lot of attention. He is dashing back towards town to sell all this.

[Incoming Message From Nineth Immortal ]

Nineth Immortal - In town waiting for you.

Tyr - Less than five, at the blacksmith.

While running, he sorts and wears what he can. On his head, he is wearing a common iron helmet that adds ten defences and reduces blunt damage by three per cent. His Necklace is adding two points to intelligence and increasing spell damage by one per cent. The other necklace he got has a level requirement of ten.

On his right hand is a simple ring of fortitude, which increase all physical stats by one. On his left is a common skill ring. Mages make these to store a life-saving spell. However, as a gladiator, his magic power is enough to activate it.

The skill inside is lighting strike damage. It deals damage equal to the amount of magic power injected. His body armour is an iron medium armour which adds twenty defence. This is very high for a common item, which is why it doesn't have any other improvements. Unfortunately, the only pair of greaves are class-specific, so he can't wear them. He kept his normal pants, as they are the best. The boots will sell well. He also has some items on Medium Bunz list. He can buy the rest.

Tyr's level has jumped to three. He has earned fifteen stat points in total. He puts them all into strength. Being fully kitted out, he doesn't worry about dying. His armour rating is around fifty and his base damage is a minimum of one hundred and twenty. Normally he should have spread them between his main strength stat, his secondary Dexterity, and the balance stat. As a physical class that focuses on close-range combat. He needs strength for damage and dexterity for dodging and balance for speed.

Nineth Immortal is already a level five. She has some kind of short swords with her. The blades glow blue with deadly intent. In his estimation, those weapons are uncommon. He greets her and asks, "How is it going." Nineth Immortal looks around, bringing him closer to her.

Nineth Immortal says, " I think I'm being followed, plus I got this from a new friend." She hands him a small map with the location of monsters around the area.

Tyr says, "you looking for a pet I guess?"

Nineth Immortal says, "yeah in that city I found a clue to a guy here in town, but he doesn't want to speak to me."

Tyr says, " no worries let get to him after I'm done selling this stuff." They go to the blacksmith and sell most of the items he got. He doesn't keep any of them because in order to get what he wants, he needs at least two hundred pieces of silver.

Lucky for him, the items amount to about seventy-seven copper pieces. Which is more than he could imagine. He should have been able to get a copper piece for each. However, given the bonus from his merchant class and his charm, plus the large volume of items, he gets a good deal. Even if he is nowhere near his goal of two hundred silver, he is much closer. In total, he needs another 19 923 copper or 199 silvers and twenty-three coppers.

They walk to the shop that is probably the most pristine in town. Tyr walks in with Nineth Immortal in tow. The Merchant seeing them, immediately says, "I already told you little girl I won't help you."

Tyr says, "And why is that? Do you not value your customers?" Tyr is a low ranking but a noble, nonetheless. It is why he is confident in getting the NPC to talk. While the outcome is undetermined, he should be able to do this much at least. In his mind, he has too many locations, he can't decide which is best so he hopes the NPC can clear a path forward. Plus, if he chooses wrong it will destroy Nineth Immortal.

The merchant says, "She is no customer. She just wants." The man folds his arms. Tyr smiles and the man's attitude seems to change a little.

Tyr says, "maybe we can trade for information. Is there anything you need?" The merchant rubs his chin and nodding to himself, he mumbles and paces about his shop floor. Tyr has to stop Nineth Immortal. His nobility is not an all-powerful cure-all. Currently, he is in the lowest rank of nobility.

The merchant, turning to them, says, "fine but if you die, don't blame me. Here is the map and two seal scrolls. The trade is simply to get me a Scarlet Hawk and you can keep the map. It has the location for four uncommon species." Nineth Immortal takes the items from the merchant.

Tyr says, " Why would we die, we can train up before going to capture the Scarlett Hawk." even if it is in a high-rank area it should take around three hours to get to level ten. Normally, with his levelling speed, he can do it in half the time.

The merchant says, " unfortunately the area is quite far away and the Scarlet Hawk will be there for the next hour. So you will have to go immediately." Nineth Immortal and Tyr nod at each other.

Walking out of the merchant shop, they bump into a massive Naga. SKY Ocean Hunter says, "Fancy meeting you guys here." Nineth Immortal hugs Tyr and they walk down towards the west of the village. They explain what is going on and SKY Ocean Hunter agrees to go along. He is still low levelled and needs to get to ten as soon as possible. With the three of them, things should go much smoother.

They pass by Medium Bunz, dropping off double the amount of ingredients she asked for. The stall outside the shops set up by players sells ingredients for much cheaper than NPCs.

Tyr says, "SKY Ocean Hunter can tank for us and we will deal as much damage as possible."

Looking at the map they were given. They have to go past the grove filled with low-level creatures. Past the Grove area is an open area with free-roaming monsters up to level eight. This field area has roads leading to other villages in the region.

Their destination takes them close to a village called Bossi. It was abandoned after an unknown sickness killed most of the villagers. Close to the river is a hidden grotto that leads lead to Scarlet Lake. A mystical grotto filled with a lot of magical and spiritual energy making monsters in the area extra strong.

SKY Ocean Hunter swinges his staff at a level three Pouncing fox. His blunt damage deal with over a hundred to the monster taking with it one-quarter of its health. The bow slows it and Nineth Immortal finishes it off quickly. SKY Ocean Hunter taps the creature picking the loot. They receive around five common materials. The experience is hardly worth the effort earning each of about three per cent.

The trio works through the area in less than fifteen minutes. They have killed over twenty creatures and earned some materials, nothing to write home about. Tyr is separating those he can use later and those he can sell for profit. He also has to give some profits to others.

Nineth Immortal says, " Your damage is really high SKY!" Even though she is higher level than SKY Ocean Hunter.

SKY Ocean Hunter says, " Yeah, for every point of strength my damage increased. My speed thou can only be medium or slow speed, even if I have a high-speed weapon."

Nineth Immortal says, " still it's crazy, I only get seven damage per strength pip." Looking at her weapons a little disappointed.

Tyr says, "But you also do magic damage and you are still one shooting monster on the same level as you." Tyr has noticed how her damage is perfect. Perfect damage is when a player always lands the last hit that is also their first hit that kills a creature. It is not normal to be able to constantly trigger this ability but she does. Tyr is glad, is just glad she is on his team.

By the time they arrive at the grotto, Tyrs' luck has meant they have racked in a lot of materials. A few weapons, but still no skill. They have fought monsters mainly at a higher level than them, yet still no skill.

1-Fifth says, " Tell them to deposit the money or we will leave." They are almost at their limit. Being level three while everyone else keeps growing is tough for their plans.
