Why did people need faith? Why did they need to believe in her just to rebuild their own society? Always wanting what is white to represent cleanness and holiness... Deep down they must want their life to be pure, to be perfect and devoid of hardship, like a blank sheet of paper. They want to colour it themselves and pursue whatever they wanted without the restrictions posed by society, retaining their innocence while shirking any of the responsibility that comes with living...
"Life is hard, be happy", was what Camellie had whispered. So Amelia wanted to help others be happy, like how Camellie did for her. When Terrence's family came after Amelia, she learnt to feel the sensation of magical particles in far more depth, detecting the use of skills and deflected any attack with [Blessing], allowing her to defeat them with ease. In a single year, she had become S grade right before The Great Disaster, which was when she awakened into SS as she faced a perilous situation that forced her to unlock her final skill.
A bright red orb flashes a few times next to Amelia's neck, her eyes gazing resolutely at Long Yi. Their blond hair was blown to the side, violently slicing through the air due to the pressure of their own aura. The red orb pops open, bursting into miniscule red particles that floated into the sky and vanished. [Revelation] full strength is on the same level, no... It was even better than future sight. It provided all relevant information and if fate was to be altered, the information would be updated to match accordingly.
Even if the cause and effect wielded by Long Yi strictly existed outside the norms of destiny, it would be read nonetheless. Long Yi stepped closer, using [An external long held wish, inner Catastrophe]. Her punch was pre determined by herself, the cause is herself and the effect is the punch's impact. She brings forward the effect and skips the cause, unleashing the punch instantly, transcending all forms of speed.
With [Revelation], Amelia has seen the attack before hand and dodged with perfect ease, if she continuously uses [Revelation] it can also reveal the optimal movement and safety net, places where she can step into and avoid any and all attacks without much effort. With her blatantly moving to a different area, the initial route of fate has been changed, but even that is being accounted for in [Revelation].
She steps into another area and shoots off beams of [Blessing], enough to fill the sky and earth to the brim, traces of translucent white filled her vision as they swallow anything and everything in the size of multiple universes. Long Yi cancels out the effect of [Blessing]'s crippling ability with [Catastrophe] and leaves the cause alone, she passes through the translucent white beams effortlessly, leaping closer to Amelia.
She swings another punch, to which Amelia stepped back to dodge and shot off more beams of [Blessing]. With each new barrage of [Blessing], Long Yi has to cancel out their effects to avoid them. With each attack Long Yi sends, Amelia no longer relied on [Blessing] to auto dodge them and instead pre emptively applied [Revelation] to guide her own movements. At this stage, the concern of magical particle consumption was no longer an issue, but each and every attack by every party has the possibility of completely wiping out the other party. Even with the ability to spam their skills, they still have to be wary of every attack or casting of magic. One could never be too careful.
At once, Long Yi sent out every attack she had taken from Amelia, blocking out everyone's vision with a flash of white. Amelia understood this would happen with [Revelation], the fact was that she received knowledge about the future, not from the future. It also came in the form of mental information rather than visual, so even if the enemy used a flash bang she would be able to understand what was happening and how to deal with it.
In this case, there was no safe zone. Unleashing the stored up attacks, it only had some utility as a smoke bomb since Amelia was immune to her own [Blessing] if she had casted magically or numerically superior [Blessing]s on herself before hand. [Revelation] couldn't be counted as a proper attack, when casted it had a specific effect such as a certain detail to impart upon the target.
Every mind had a specific compatibility that the magic caters to, when redirected with [Tears shed unseen] it becomes incompatible and the information is thus not transferred nor taken from the target, rendering it useless. In other words, redirection causes the magic of [Revelation] to vanish out of existence.
"Back to the start once more, universal collapse." (Long Yi)
"Artifacts corrected, error zeroed on, miraculous fate bestowed by the heavens, [Blessing]." (Amelia)
The entire universe was returning to its initial state at the heart of the big bang, this was an attack that Long Yi had already attempted once, but this time Amelia was flash banged. Believing that it would serve as a distraction, Long Yi threw an all ranging attack that affected everything in the surroundings. To ensure her attack wouldn't miss... [Blessing] can enable Amelia to ignore any damage done to her rather than dodge everything that exists. [Blessing] forces the universe to be rebirths, [Blessing] forces every matter in existence to ignore the 2 individuals in the way and rebirths properly back to its initial state. A miraculous reincarnation that brings back the universe in its exact initial state.
As someone was rewinding a video of a video being rewound, everything is returned to normal while suffering absolutely no damage.
"...!?" (Long Yi)
A momentary gush of silence encapsulates the 2 facing each other down. Long Yi seemed more annoyed than usual, but if something on this level could make her lose her cool, she would never be a God magical girl. In some form or another, everyone who had attained this level of power deserved it. Looking down on the other party was completely unnecessary, even if their strengths were different, they had all achieved the pinnacle of power in their own way and made use of it. It was an achievement worthy of anyone's praise.
That's why, Long Yi would never look down on her enemy. If it necessitated it, she would do it... She would use her final skill.
"[Trail of carnage wakes the crawling skin of revolution]." (Long Yi)
Among the destroyers vying for actual supremacy, there comes the oldest one bearing the eponymous title of destruction, Arasovi. A new comer that turned over everything in her wake, Kaori of Calamity. It wasn't as if the other 6 were weak, but they were noticeably lesser in ability by a tier. Among them who stood out, Long Yi could be said to be the definitive third place in this hierarchy, without the top 2 who stretched out slightly more than Long Yi and competed with each other closely, Long Yi would have been the strongest.
"Final skill, [Pray not for me, nor the heart of thee]. " (Amelia)
The laws break down and rebuilt, then decompose and shatter but reinvigorate. Over and over the cycle of destruction and creation holds true, a passion long lost in its own Oblivion never escapes. The obstreperous defiance of rules and the reclamation of authority, the knowing hypocrisy in blatant legislation, the grueling ecstasy in exploiting one's own rules... That is revolution, that is Long Yi's full will to revolve.
The space around Long Yi loses colour, like paint flowing out of a bucket, leaving a deep darkness like no other around her. This spreads further to encapsulate Amelia and everything in their surroundings, though they were infinitely too far away to affect the other battles.
"You will always be within my 'reach', the grace of God puts all in its dominion. Fall." (Amelia)
What could be better than the miracles of [Blessing] that the great creator in the sky lovingly grants his subjects? His authority itself, the effect of [Pray not for me, nor the heart of thee] is nigh omnipotence. It might seem redundant considering they were all God magical girls here, with unlimited mastery over magic, enough to access the library of akasha and replicate any skill in existence or to use their own magic which eclipses the ability of any other in the library.
The meaning of her final skill lied in what she made of it. A power beyond miracles comprehensible by human standards was how she interpretated it. It isn't a power imitating the great God in the biggest religions before The Great Disaster, it is the power itself. It isn't a copy but the genuine article, and her own. She also began to rewrite the laws of the world around her to bend in her favour, cancelling out Long Yi's revolution. With a new card under their sleeves, they engage in their last contact.
With Amelia's command, Long Yi began to fall into the void. She rewrote the laws around her to do the opposite, instead of falling down she now began to fall up instead, and even begun to accelerate. Space itself began to shift and carry her forward, while the space in front of her collapsed into zero instead, both sides working to close the distance. In one go, her arm impaled Amelia by the torso, but this also meant that Amelia could attack her at the same time, given her target came to her instead.
She didn't need to have skin contact with her enemy though, but believing in her absolute superiority with the authority of her final skill, she didn't bother dodging either. Her magic had long activated and as she got impaled by Long Yi's arm, there was nothing left of Long Yi but her arm. She had erased the rest of her body out of existence, a power akin to the deletion capabilities of [destruction] by Arasovi.
What was it that her heart whispered? So fleeting, so frail... Camellie, you were here the whole time... As the immortal king of the Gangreo Monarchy. After The Great Disaster befelled humanity, the nations collapsed, technology was in disarray and governments were no longer functional. A new provisional governance was set up through sheer fear and deterrence, the God magical girls put the fear of the divine in any who considered sinning, upholding what precious order there is left of human society.
For Europe, that was the Gangrea monarchy and the immortal king. A land ravaged by plague, famine and despair. Their hope was extinguished and the citizens mostly migrated to the other factions with the dissolution of their ruling structure. On the surface, the Haradell union, Holy kingdom of Blumford and Illnoia Administration had worked together to cause its collapse and the murder of its God magical girl, the immortal king. This was the story presented to The Sanctuary of The Eye God and the Grundo Alliance.
In actuality, Amelia defeated the Immortal King alone. Terrence's magic was still in effect and used Amelia's magic as the vector to carry it forward and bring about its effects. Camellie had reincarnated as the immortal king, and upon contact with Amelia, dissolved along with her immortality. They were not fated to be, whether in her previous life or her current life, even if it was not romantically possible in the next life, Amelia was not even allowed to have met her. Camellie gave her a soft smile, one of her passives as the immortal king fortunately allowed her to retain the memories of her past lives.
Among the infinite sea of memories, Amelia oddly stood out brighter than the rest, drowning out the significance of any other 'past life' she might have had, and extinguished the possibility of identity crisis. Because of Amelia, she was confident of her being and identity as Camellie.
"Ephemerality... I fuse Camellie's fate to yours with this authority I gained. She vanished before I could even use my final skill, but you won't have that issue.
In fact, because of fate, you will vanish before you could use your own skills. Bye bye, Camellie. [Pray not for me, nor the heart of thee] " (Amelia)
She tanked Long Yi's revolution and simultaneously defeated her in the same moment. A long drawn out sequence was not necessary, even if she had to sacrifice her last memories of Camellie to simulate her existence and activate her fate. Long Yi first turned into an arm by her power, then she recovered instantly only to hear her last words and dissolve helplessly. Why did she take so long when she could have done this at the start?
Ah... She really did struggle until the end. If possible, she would have wanted to defeat Long Yi only with [Blessing], instead of sacrificing what was precious to her.
