Uttering her final skill, it all fades to black. This was the skill that granted her dominion over the previous worlds, the singularity that started it all.
"... Time correction? What is..." (Kaori)
Despite falling back some distance, she received heavy damage. Her torso was torn apart and her head split off from her neck, but the next moment she regenerated all of it back. Though the blood bath she generated from her injuries still layed around in the background. The damage was real, the evidence still persisted in reality. If she couldn't figure out the effects of Arasovi's final skill soon, she wouldn't last.
Her thoughts fly past her conscious faster than the speed of light, distributing most of her computing power to cracking the effects of the final skill. The first sensation she felt was a change in gradients... Notably in time. It was on the level of time correction rather than manipulation, it wasn't a deviation from the norm, but setting a new norm. If she were to guess, her final skill was related to time and space. Her previous skills don't suggest interdimensional travel, with the exception of her primary skill possibly breaking the rifts between worlds.
However, different worlds aren't separated by 'rifts'. They are separated by time and space, sure. But there are no 'coordinates' on a world tree or any multiversal structure to speak off. All of it exists in a vacuum, there is nothing inbetween universes. There are also magic like Myuu's final skill which ignore the physics or material nature of any of it, since the connection it makes between parallel worlds was Myuu's identity, synching to the Myuu's of other worlds.
Then... What if it didn't allow her to travel to other worlds... But it recreated a new Arasovi in that other world... She could destroy the old body and be the only Arasovi in existence...
"... Oblivion Magia, Hallowed bridal judgement." (Kaori)
For now, she still needed to protect herself. With her feet at the centre, a white space expands. She could use her Oblivion Magia as additional computing power, and as a way to defend herself. If it can block off the effects of her final ski-
"...?!" (Kaori)
She covers her head with her arms and pulls her legs closer, covering herself with countless rapiers, yet her attack bypassed it all. Clutching her throat, she spat blood. Looks like defence wasn't going to work, she should dedicate all of her Oblivion Magia's computing power to cracking the final skill's effects. A function similar to her twin horns Stick. Space based attacks... Like Karell's were possible to detect and ward off. This was time based, yet it surpassed her own. The mechanics aren't clear either but... She put forth a hypothesis.
Her ability was to make herself a historical constant of sorts. Embedding herself into the story lines of fate. Then... Was there no way to avoid it? She could tank the attacks and focus her magic on her regeneration, but a battle of attrition is disadvantageous against gods...
***(Ledia)
"... A rematch of sorts? I have something of a grudge..." (Ledia)
Her atlas armour has been mended to her soul, she could never go back to being a normal human. Her augmentations have reached SS grade in a very short span, even if her time loops have inflated her amount of training time.
"...? Against that Kaori of yours? I hate to admit it... But she's strong." (Kaori alternative)
She materialises a double edged blade of energy, she saw that everybody ahd their own preferred weapon but didn't have any of her own. It was dangerous to be experimental at this stage, so she used what she thought was the simplest weapon, a double edged long hilted western sword. Its density was the same as her atlas armour, but she knew she needed to do better. She deployed her virtual world, but it promptly collapsed like fragile glass blown by a hurricane.
"If you want even a chance, you have to do way better than that." (Kaori)
Her virtual world couldn't be deployed with Kaori as her opponent, their magic overlapped too much in this area. Kaori could deploy something similar with her Oblivion Magia, but even without that she could at least read its existence as clear as day and shatter it with [Hollow calamity]. A small chink in its armour and the whole thing falls apart like a tower of cards. Since it was a world of pure energy and stimuli without any substance, there wasn't really a way to make it durable or able to withstand Kaori's primary skill.
She no longer needed the world for time lag or accuracy correction since the atlas armour was now mended to her soul, but it would have given her a slight edge up and perhaps deal with the wealth of experience the opponent has over her. But now she didn't even have that.
"... Are you scared? Come, face me with your skills alone." (Kaori alternative)
Without her virtual world, she couldn't use virtual teleportation to get out of bad situations. Then perhaps, this was the only way.
"... Fine, I didn't think I have to use this but you took away all of my cards.
I was saving it for last, but... Oblivion Magia, Purgatory of wishes long past." (Ledia)
"I won't go easy on you. Oblivion Magia, Limber drought laceration." (Kaori alternative)
A space of rose red spreads out from Kaori's feet to meet with Ledia's chrysanthemum yellow. There was always a certain burning question in the back of Ledia's mind. Certainly, her ability to manipulate energy was amazing, it allowed her to create anything she wanted even if it was a substance less illusion with only visual, audio and physical stimuli. All she had to do was to tweak the lighting by splitting white light into whatever colour she wanted, create vibrations in the air to imitate the desired sound, use a combination of heat and pressure to simulate touch.
It was hard to create smell or taste, but there wasn't much need to. The state of the air was too chaotic for any realistic smell to reach the nose via aerosol transport. She couldn't create physical matter that was too complex as she would have to produce the individual subatomic particles then atoms, and finally compounds.
Then she needed to know what chemical she needed, its 3 dimensional structure and how it was bonded. Knowing the constituent elements was not enough, she doesn't have access to all the knowledge in the world unlike Himei or Zedicia who could access the library of Akasha with their skills.
In other words, she was still limited by the fact that she was once a normal human. Even her vastly limited battle experience was a byproduct of this fact. Even so, her ability to manipulate energy sounded more amazing than it actually is, or at least how she was currently using it. Her copy and paste technique was an example of what she could potentially do, she needed to find a way to utilise her first skill, a loophole in the universe to defy common sense like magical girls are supposed to do.
Kaori arrived next to her, her black rapier slid past Ledia's neck, who had barely dodged at the last moment. A wide laceration appears across it as Kaori's territory was rapidly encroaching their position. Rather than a one off instance of activating her technique, copy and paste, what about a continuous activation? Each time she would copy the existing attack and past a new one over it, doubling the energy density... And why stop at double? What about triple? Quadruple?
A white orb is conjured over her palm, it grows brighter everytime as it grows in power exponentially, her well was no longer a limited. Energy sufficient to destroy the universe and cause a new big bang... Has long been surpassed. The atlas armour was no longer anything special in terms of energy density. She crushed the orb in her right palm in front of Kaori, releasing the dense energy that had been restrained thus far by her control.
Her passive completely nullifies any possible damage to her body by her energy attacks. With this, she has created an attack with infinite destructive power, as long as she uses her technique it will grow in power exponentially it will catch up to the might of her opponents... And since it doesn't hurt her, she can detonate as many as she wants to protect herself unless her opponent wants to suffer energy bombs to the face. Grow stronger, more destructive, apply her technique ever more than before, and use it more frequently!
There was enough energy to fill the universe with heat and then more, each eruption surpassing the speed of light and breaking down the physics of reality, they brute force through time and space and annhiliate anything they come across. She had used the law of equivalent exchange before in her battle with Arasovi, the 'value' given is instantly calculated by her magic. Then using this magic to instinctively calculate the value of the enemy, she conjures just enough energy into existence through her magic to destroy them.
Scaling based on the opponent's durability...
"Refined technique - Resolution Spark." (Ledia)
Surpassing any and all present values, she throws a white cross at Kaori alternative. It moves at a speed just fast enough to enough to hit her as Ledia continuously augments her speed, and strike into her... Repeatedly. Ledia utilises this technique countless times by throwing continuous attacks as much as she could, resulting in numerous of the white crosses being thrown at once at Kaori's body.
Kaori slides through the air over a blond distance, dodging the curses, but it wasn't over. The crosses fly towards Kaori like homing missiles as she continuously throws even more white crosses while chasing her, causing a match that looked akin to an aerial dog fight, with one barraging the other with a machine gun. Kaori slides through the void while avoiding the heavy fire, ever since Ledia began activating her technique endlessly, at the start of the battle, the Oblivion Magias treaded into a standstill.
However in the small area invaded by Kaori, she has breached Ledia's Oblivion Magia and began tearing it apart with her reddish black rapier, causing it to fall apart and become useless at any moment. But before it could do so, Ledia would make as much use of it as possible to activate her new Resolution Spark technique. Kaori continues to fly through the void while tearing through Ledia's Oblivion Magia while the surroundings rain her in a hail of white crosses.
Ledia swims through the chaotic energy that swirled violently and gnawed viciously at reality. The rules of physics and quantity no longer applied, numbers no longer had meaning as long as the fighting individuals unceasingly grew stronger. Ledia appears in front of Kaori, impeding her flight path and throwing more crosses, before Kaori avoided even that by turning a sharp turn and swimming in irregular patterns. It looked more like a comet swimming erratically as white flashes chase after it.
She extends her rapier as far as she could, reaching over a continent's width, before swinging it and detonating every cross that had been conjured thus far, but more are only being produced, this wouldn't end until Ledia was dead. But her body was practically coated with those explosive white crosses. In one motion, her rapier sliced apart every new cross and swung vertically from overhead. She was planning to end it as fast she could, but slicing through both the cross and Kaori alternative at the same time.
Ledia vanishes and relocates to above the slash. Another rainstorm of white crosses materialised, but was immediately eliminated along with a slash thrown from the side to burst apart Ledia's head like a balloon. Ledia relocates next to Kaori, conjuring more crosses. She wasn't using her second skill enough, [Human ingenuity surpasses the secret of the stars], the ability to break past limits. She was always finding ways to break past her limit, but they weren't really 'limits' persay.
The only limit she really broke, was to ignore the numerical limit of how much magic she could control at once. Otherwise she wasn't really 'breaking limits' but breaking past previous scores to achieve better high scores. There weren't exactly limits as in restrains or limitations enforced upon by her own characteristics. But by shifting around the definition...
With a single motion, Kaori threw countless slashes of her rapier. Ledia walks forward without any hesitation or fear, her stride resolute and her body heightened and ready to fight. She walks past the slashes, they flash last her body without harm. With such a phenomena acting as surprise, Ledia shot a cross into Kaori alternative's heart. Breaking 'limitations', she set the rapier as a physical limitation and 'surpassed it', causing her body to phase past the rapier like an immaterial construct.
The cross stuck in her torso erupts, signalling the end.
