Being. A noun, an entity, state, ego, identity. But as it permeated the user's concept to the very core, it is a much higher, perhaps the highest form of constitution skills.
[Being: Verdant centralised ensemble]
A special state that superimposes every possible reality into 1. But as there are infinitely numerous good states, there is an opposite but equal amount of other versions. However the present state, this universe's version of Myuu is used as the foundation, the catalyst. So she retains only the original parameters, yet she also continuously includes the infinite other possibilities. Her limit, her present well. Her potential, limitless.
But even if her power is technically limitless now, that's just the amount of magic she can use to potentially attack. What she can pull off in reality is however much different, the only reference she has to magic utilisation is her usual form, her usual well(storage) and will(output/defense). She has to charge far longer than usual and use up stamina beyond the normal rate of consumption if she wants to use stronger attacks.
But its true gift lies in her body instead.
"..... My final skill [Being: Verdant centralised ensemble], the pinnacle of my life. It is my life's culmination and power just as it is my final destination, my limit."
"Resurrection... As expected. I can't let my guard down. Second skill [Boundary of radiance, indifference of aether]." (Huo Li)
Before my brain couldn't catch up, it had been sliced into infinite pieces. However, no matter how many times she cut me down just now, it only counted as a single death. I had to resurrect first for her next attack to count as another kill, otherwise she would be desecration a 'dead body' instead of actually attacking me. I had essentially gained invulnerability no matter what happens, as my original state is always superimposed over my dead body everytime I die.
Unless she somehow dealt with that root cause-I.e killing an infinite amount of versions of me present across every reality-then she wouldn't really be able to stop me from getting back up each time. Of course there is the possibility of me running out of magical particles and becoming unable to use my last skill, but I am not completely harmless.
"...?!" (Huo Li)
Flashes of green block the sky and ground, overwhelming the near vicinity like a violent deluge of great proportions. Without a limit to my magical particles when attacking, I've sent my output to the max. Using 100% of one's magic at once was highly unusual as it limited a magical girl to pulling off only one attack. It was pretty much a gamble as their Wells aren't usually unlimited like mine or retained like Kaori's.
Basically everyone wouldn't ever do that as they would rather conserve their well and fight a slow intricate battle, where they can plan their magic expenditure and exploit their enemy's openings. They would wait for the best opportune moment or find gaps and faults in the enemy's fighting style to give themself an advantage. Both parties usually start around 5% and slowly go up from there. No one wanted to do a 100% gamble attack that could potentially miss.
But even with my full power and slightly more than that, she was still slicing the flood of vine spears flying at her with ease. She never dropped her composure even for a single moment, she never seems to be fazed by any surprise. Usually an absurd ability like mine would cause the enemy to fall into shock at how unfair it is, then I use that momentary gap to stab them with my spear.
But as expected. As one of 3 candidates for the Eye God's saintess, a god magical girl's strongest subordinate, she stands a league above even other S grade magical girls.
"Even if you unlock the ability to use your full power without the risk of it being a gamble, how many other S grades do you think have targeted my life?
As the forefront strongest arc maiden, I am shone in an eternal spotlight whether it'd be from my people or the enemy. In other words, I'm bait.
How much did you think I had to grow to even survive? "(Huo Li)
For some reason her words seem a little heavy, a meagre tinge of emotion slipping through her voice modulation as she spoke the last word. But it wasn't a good basis for any argument. You fought to survive? So did everyone else. I won't say I'm necessarily a righteous person, but I believe she shouldn't have the right to insult everyone else's struggle. Fighting for survival is not her exclusive trait, everyone is doing their best out there.
Because for whatever reason, magical girls are as foolish as humans. Even with superhuman capabilities and the privilege that comes with it, we wage war like humans do, form factions like humans do and plunder like they do...
I rush forward, jumping into the air with both my arms raised while holding spears. I swing them forward, bending to point their tips at Huo Li. I felt a bit more weightless than usual, looking down the bottom half of my torso had been bisected by her scythe. But my final skill, [Being: Verdant centralised ensemble] brought back my usual body right after.
My beloved partner, my very first spear in my right hand, trusty under a secure grip. Let's unlock more of your power, I only had the ability to bring you back from the dead hollow as I didn't have enough magical particles then. But as I got stronger I was able to summon more and more of you, increasing the amount of cells you had. Each cell counted due to the ridiculous amount of magic you packed. Now, full power, Sagian Miltreu Ancient Vine Spear.
She was able to slow my charging speed, but ultimately she couldn't prevent me from getting close without running. That's where the spear came in. At full cell count, it automatically follows the target as it gains a fragment of its ego from when it was alive. A burst of green light submerges the realm as it collided with Huo Li's scythe. Its texture persists as a formless chaos of black spots and other dark coloured streaks over a white frame, the scythe retained its irregular hue no matter how bright its surroundings were, as if it was outside of this world.
With the spear putting up a large struggle, it's attack persisted for a few seconds before cracks crawled up its shaft like fragmented glass. I summon it back into my palms, charging it to full power before shooting almost immediately again. Before I could even bend my elbow, it was sliced off. The spear flew at Huo Li anyway, making a second burst of bright green light and a loud collision with her scythe.
Tch... I understand now. Damn. Damn it..... No wonder she was able to stay so calm even after knowing I had this special kind of resurrection!!! THE SCYTHE'S MATERIAL IS THE SAME AS MY BODY!!!! DAMNNN ITTTT!!!!!!
.... It's a 4th dimensional construct, it exists through the timeline and essentially this universe's lifespan. As it exists outside of the normal flow of time and has verified its own existence in the future, it has guaranteed its survival and durability by simply existing. It was similar to my alternate reality superimposition final skill, only that it doesn't take alternate versions of itself from other realities, but the exact same version of itself from throughout this timeline.
Tch, no wonder it says she has infinite endurance with SS grade. She must have augmented her own body with that skill. Nothing can destroy it since it has assured existence. I don't have anything up my arsenal to go around that. I have to manually think up something new or create something new to counter it, but that's the hardest part. Will I survive until then? Ironically I'm still thinking about survival despite this nigh unkillable body. Rather than making myself unkillable, it just attaches a timer...
Well, it should at least render her martial arts useless. With how my body is, I can let her attack me while indiscriminately attacking everything. Countless spears surround and launch at Huo Li, forming a sea urchin with her body at the centre. The odd white material with dark streaks surround her like a barrier, seemingly glowing under the shade of the numerous spears gouging at her barrier.
At the same time it didn't seem to be glowing as it did not gave off light. It simply retained its usual amount of brightness while not giving off any light. How unnatural, it sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it. Right now her utilisation was only as a weapon and shield, she could do much more with it. She simply hadn't. As expected, the spears exploded or shattered apart into countless fragments, the explosion driving so much momentum into the spears that they were sent flying away.
This time it was my turn, the mysterious material had formed the exact same attack that I just pulled off. Unlike my spears, they were strong, stronger than my defense. I had no way out, so I had to ensure it. An explosion of sensations assault my senses, driving me near madness as I endured each and every bit of sharpness edged into my flesh. My normal body superimposed over it and replaced the dying body, erasing the enemy's spears along with it out of existence. Huh, it gave me a really good idea. It was my remaining move after all.
It was going to be excruciating, but the tiny drop of victory had fully enticed me. A wide grin caressed my lips uncharacteristically. Come! A forgotten enthusiasm embraces my heart, but I quickly recover my composure. If I was going out, I wanted to go out with a bang. And to be as annoying to kill as possible.
Forming 8 body doubles out of plant life around me, I made a big rush with all of us wielding our spears. As they weren't independant terminals, I had to control all 9 of us at once. Sharing senses between 9 bodies, my conscious is quickly disseminated and in turmoil as chaotic sensations entered the central mind.
*slice!* A few doubles were cut down at once, they were inferior and shoddy compared to my previous attempts so this was a given. But a frontal assault wasn't the point of having body doubles. She gets to me in an instant, aiming at my head with her scythe. She could easily tell us apart since I didn't have green skin like the plant doubles did. Here was where they came in. Struggling to parry for a moment, the other doubles began rushing at her from all directions.
"... Again? You used yourself as bait... The body doubles didn't even serve to do anything..." (Huo Li)
She spoke with slight annoyance as she wiped the blood off her lips. Even the plant doubles attacking around her weren't really there to attack. The actual attack was the bountiful spears laid in the ground by the doubles. She just happened to step over one of them, laid behind by the double that formed right in front of me. It had Coincidentally pierced a patch of flesh that wasn't augmented by that material.
The spear was quickly crushed into powder by the muscles inside her body before she poured it out of her leg as if it was as trivial as sand getting into your clothes. It wasn't my true aim anyway, not being able to deal lasting damage was basically expected in magical girl fights. I quickly absorb the rest of the doubles in to my spear before it was slashed apart as if to mock me... At least she attempted to slash it apart anyway.
While her scythe was indeed made of a superior material, her strength wasn't enough to utilise it. Instead, all she had cut off were my fingers wrapped around the spear, though they quickly return to normal as if nothing had happened. Was she trying to mock me?
I raise the spear in my arm a little, gaining a bit of an idea what I should do. I ran closer to her as my key to this ordeal required as much close contact as possible. My head was sliced off and kicked as far as possible, leaving a gruesome body that spurted blood all over the ground around it. But after a short moment, the decapitated head vanished and I was back to normal. I try my best to get closer once more. Staking all my strength in this rush.
