Traveling to the destination would take about two weeks at a normal pace for most people by carriage. Sargon and Pharis could move much faster than a carriage though. The trip will only take four to five days. Sargon told Pharis where they were going on the way, "We are going to make a camp outside of the border the Juriel Kingdom. This will put us into the central plains that border the monster lands. There will be a large-sized city nearby called Fereldyn so we can still get whatever we may need from there. We'll be staying in that camp until you become a knight and grow up."
Pharis was excited by the destination and the plan. Despite Kesh, she didn't develop an unnatural fear of monsters. The monster lands weren't seen as anything more than a source of strength, opportunity, and glory to her now. She has been doing well in adopting a knight's mindset. They would hunt a few rabbits for food for the day. Instead of stopping at a town or village, they just slept under the stars. While they were laying down, Pharis asked a question that been in her mind since Kesh. She said softly, "Master, back in Kesh I was feeling really empty and bad. I only snapped out of it because you were there with me. What do I do if I feel like that again and you're not there with me?" Sargon pondered the question with his eyes closed after turning his head slightly. He came up with an answer, "Look to the stars Little Pharis, they will be there for you, and through them, I will also be there. If it is the day, turn to the closest star in the sky, the sun. Look to them, they are the celestial bodies that give us our power. They will fill your emptiness and shine their light on you. So look to the stars Pharis."
They both opened their eyes and looked to the stars in the clear sky. They felt like they were right at home then. They fell asleep feeling like that and peacefully slept through the night. The next day, they continued their journey. Pharis got Sargon thinking after last night. Their power did come from those celestial bodies, he knew this naturally. He knew they were watching him too in a way. He was thinking that it may be possible to communicate with the stars somehow someway. He put it on one of the things to try.
Back on the road, they encountered a convoy. The convoy was guarded by around 40 knights, 37 in the iron level, 2 in the steel level, and 1 in the titanium level. An ornate carriage at the center seems to be who they were escorting. He saw a crest of a sword with two white wings and recognized it as the Juriel royal crest. He did not expect royalty to be so close to the borders without an army at their heels. It was already late in the day and they were moving faster than he expected. He decided to go around the convoy and find a place for them to lay down. They did not go unnoticed by the titanium level knight, but he took no action.
Sargon and Pharis set up camp a little bit off the side of the road. Camp is used loosely because all they did was set their gear down and make a small fire. Since it was still early, Sargon supervised Pharis while practiced her sword and bow. One thing she wanted to improve on was switching between her sword and bow quickly. While watching her manually switch her weapons, Sargon chuckled a little bit. Sargon didn't want Pharis to bond with her current normal equipment, so he had been looking for a way to switch things without doing so. He completed that task and now taught Pharis how to do it. All she had to do instead was wrap the weapon in astra and then move that astra. It basically teleports the weapon with how fast it moves. The wrapping was made easier if a marking is made with astra. After Pharis applied the technique, she was satisfied with it and started practicing with it.
Sargon had his armor on without the helmet. He like wearing the armor, it felt natural and comfortable to wear it. He had no problem sleeping in it at all with how comfortable it was to him. Minutes before sunset had started, the convoy had caught up to their clearing on the side of the road. It was becoming sunset and it was the biggest clearing near the road for a while. The convoy stopped at their spot because of this. The titanium level knight walked over to Sargon who was laying on the ground watching the first stars become visible. The incoming knight had no ill intent, so he just kept laying there waiting for him. Pharis was still practicing at the time but stopped when the knight came close. Sargon sat up and then stood up to meet the fellow knight.
"Hello, I am Knight Commander Orfred Trune.", Orfred said with perfect manners. "Well met Sir Trune, I am Knight Errant Sargon Jupiter and this is my young squire Pharis.", Sargon responded with perfect manners as well. Pharis gave her squire's greeting according to what she was taught. A slight bow with a fist over her heart. Orfred continued, "My lady's convoy is in need of a place to make camp. this clearing is the only suitable place for a long while and came hoping you do not mind our presence." Sargon smiled, "Your lady's convoy brings us no burden, there is more than enough room, please rest here." Orfred offered his thanks, "Thank you, Sir Jupiter, I will return now." The two gave each other a knight's salute and Orfred went back to his convoy to make camp.
Back at the convoy, Orfred was asked by his two captains why he went over personally. Orfred is an experienced knight and reads updates from the union frequently. He noticed the addition of a new malachite-level knight on the continental rankings. Earlier today, his description and new moniker were added too. He recognized Sir Jupiter from the description and went to greet himself to be sure. Once he heard his name and the name of his squire, he was sure. Pharis's name was listed as a squire under Sargon's name in the union. This is how Orfred knew Pharis as well, especially with how rare females are in their ranks. He said to the captains, " He is Sir Jupiter the Starry Knight." The captains were still confused since they don't pay attention to the union as closely as Orfred. Orfred followed up with, "He is a malachite level knight and a noble one." The captains understood now why their commander greeted him himself. The Starlight Knight was more powerful than any of them and probably all of them combined as well as a noble one. "Noble one" is often used to refer to a knight errant who follows a righteous and honorable code and oath.
Orfred's lady called him over, "Yes my lady, I am here." The lady asked, "Who was the knight you talked too dear Orfred. Orfred responded promptly, "He was Sir Jupiter, a malachite level noble one known as the Starry Knight and his squire Young Pharis." The lady then said, "Interesting, invite the Starry Knight and Young Pharis to my tent for dinner with me once it is prepared." Orfred saluted, "It will be done, my lady".
Orfred went to hasten the tent set up and order preparations for guests. The lady was thinking hopefully that tonight she'll be able to enjoy some good company.
