Chen Rou Jiao, Fen Ju and Liling settled down at the crowded cafeteria. Although time had shown 5 in the evening, there were many students strolling at the college. Some with classes, and some must be done their revision like what Chen Rou Jiao and her friends did.
Chen Rou Jiao and the two others were lucky enough to find place to enjoy their meals in this packed place.
They talked about many things while eating to avoid the boredom they suffered at the library just now. However they kept it low avoid the attraction from everyone.
"Have you decide what you gonna do after graduate? Any desire place to go?"
Chen Rou Jiao asked to Fen Ju and Liling because they took different course than her. Fen Ju took Law meanwhile Liling took Psychology as her major course.They also stayed in different dorm, so the only time to have this kind of conversation only when they were outside the study time.
However, that was not a problem for Chen Rou Jiao. She befriended everyone. As long as she had many friends, her life will be complete. After all, even she was not so close to them like she was with Pei Xin and Chun Hua, she never saw it as reason to not be in a good term with them.
Fen Ju answered first because Liling's mouth was full with her stewed meat.
"I want to further my study at Oxford. Then I will stay there for a couple years." Fen Ju said proudly.
"Wow. Amazing." Chen Rou Jiao clapped her hands. She never expected Fen Ju had that big dream. "Have you prepare everything? I heard it is a lot of work."
Fen Ju nodded excitedly. "Of course. My mom did it for me. She even bought an apartment for my stay."
"Wah!!! sounds great. When is your departure?"
"Hmm..." Fen Ju pressed her lips but not too tight, while her eyes roles up for a second before looked again at Chen Rou Jiao. "two months from now. I need to take rest before start to get busy again." She smiled widely.
Chen Rou Jiao still at awed with Fen Ju's neat preparation from the very beginning to the end. However she was not surprise with that due to Fen Ju background.
She probably not so close with the girl in front of her right now, but she already knew Fen Ju was from conglomerate family. The things about studying abroad for her family just a child's play.
Chen Rou Jiao changed her attention to Liling as she finished chewing. "How about you?"
"Me?" Chen Rou Jiao nodded. The plumpy girl next to Fen Ju took a sip of ice green tea she bought before paid attention to Chen Rou Jiao and Fen Ju.
"I will continue to postgraduate here, then I will start working." she said casually, then a spoonful of rice entered her mouth.
Chen Rou Jiao nodded understand.
"What about you, Rou Jiao?" Fen Ju turned to ask.
Although Fen Ju and Liling had great planning for their life, so did she. With her amazing record, she would be accepted anywhere she wanted to. Apparently, she received job offers from many companies, yet she had not decided which one to be her future workplace.
"Haven't decide yet. I will wait for the final result first." Chen Rou Jiao replied, smiled widely.
Fen Ju and Liling clapped their hands, proud with her answer, which eventually made Chen Rou Jiao blushed.
"What are you doing?" Chen Rou Jiao asked shyly.
"You already beaten our story with yours." Fen Ju said.
"Well, she is call the top notch for a reason." Liling added. "Many companies must be eyeing on you right now."
Chen Rou Jiao kind of embarassed to confirm that, hence her lips make a genuine smile, and lowered her gaze, focused on her meal. Fen Ju and Liling looked at each others, giggled with Chen Rou Jiao cute reaction.
Out of sudden, her phone rang. Chen Rou Jiao delighted after seen the caller thus she quickly dropped the chopstick in her hand on the plate and answered the call.
"Excuse me," Chen Rou Jiao said that to her frieds before gave fully attention to her phone. Fen Ju and Liling let her talked with the caller while they fill their stomach with the food they bought.
"Hello dad."
"My lovely daughter!!" a loud and exuberant greeting from her father made Chen Rou Jiao heart leap of joy.
She had not met her father since the semester started due to busy schedule between her part-time jobs and her study. Nonetheless, every time they called each other, she could not think of a time she'd ever been happier, just like right now.
"Dad. How are you today?" she asked excitedly.
"Me? I am totally fine. How about you, Rou Jiao? How was your study? Have you eat?"
"Hehe. I am doing fine. I just finish my study and done eating when you call me." Chen Rou Jiao looked down her plate, there was a whole meal she had not touched yet because she was busy talking with Fen Ju and Liling.
"Okay. Good. Good. I am happy to hear that. Hahaha."
"You seems so happy today. Have a lot of sale today?"
"Like always. Hahaha."
Her father own a small bakery at the town they live in city B. His unique and delicious hand-made bun made his bakery was a must-go-to place for the locals and tourists who like to enjoy the taste of his classic cuisines.
"Great. Where is Liang Shu?"
"He is out to do some errand. Do you want to talk to him?"
"Hmm.. It's okay. I will call him later. Tell him to do his best for his exam."
"Okay. Don't worry about him. He get a good brain like you. He will ace the exam and apply to your college soon."
Chen Rou Jiao nodded happily even her father could never see that, "Ofcourse. Look who our father is."
"Hahaha.. me!!" Chen Rou Jiao and her father laughed together. "Now. I gotta go. There is customer here. I will asked Liang Shu to call you, tonight. Okay?"
"Okay, dad. Good bye."
"Good bye. Do your best, okay my love." His hopefull wish made her heart warm.
"Okaaaay~~~"
Chen Rou Jiao let her father to end the call first before she put the phone on the table and she continued her conversation with Fen Ju and Liling. Her smiled stayed on her face after the conversation with her father.
"I hope we can meet again every year after we graduate." Fen Ju quickly brought new topic after Chen Rou Jiao had done talking to her father. She and Liling almost finish their meal, just wanted to wait Chen Rou Jiao to finish hers.
"Yeah. Must be exciting." Liling agreed.
Chen Rou Jiao lifted her head with a unreadable expressions. "I can't promised that because I don't know when will we meet again. Everyone will be busy with their life after this."
"Aiya... we can communicate in our group chat. Don't you dare to leave the group without our permission." Fen Ju jokingly warned Chen Rou Jiao but she just burst to laugh seconds after saying that. So did Chen Rou Jiao and Liling.
"Okay. Okay. I will not leave."
"Promise?" Fen Ju wanted her confirmation.
Chen Rou Jiao smiled. Her eyes moves to puppy eyes. "Promise." she cheered.
