I flew down the stairs of the Gryffindor Stand, jumping and missing around four stairs at a time. My main focus was on two people: Harry and Oliver. Ever since Marcus knocked Oliver off his broom, he has remained unconscious on the Quidditch Pitch. Pushing past other students, I finally make my way onto the pitch but someone's arm blocks me from moving any further. " Let me go!"
The person withdraws their arm from in front of me and places it onto my shoulder, "Ey Iris, just calm down alright? Madam Pomfrey is taking care of things." Hagrid rubs my shoulder to try and reassure me.
"Can't I quickly go and check on him?" I look up at his taller form. Hagrid sighs and looks around then gently pushes me forward. " Go but be quick, okay?"
Not wanting to waste another minute; I ran across the pitch to where Oliver was. Madam Pomfrey's head quickly shoots up and her eyes widen at the sight of me. "Miss Potter, you cannot be over here!" She warns me. Ignoring her comment, I kneel down next to Oliver's side and take his hand in mine.
"Oliver? Are you okay?! Open your eyes please. Oliver please." I plead to him. My eyes stay focused on his face. Waiting to see if anything happens. Anything. Even if it's a small movement in the face or if he slightly tries to open his eyes: just simply anything. After staring at his face after what seems like forever, I swore his eyes twitch slightly.
" Did you see that?!" I look over at Madam Pomfrey who is speaking to Professor Hooch. Both of them look at me then towards Oliver.
" Miss Potter, I think you might be seeing things -"
" No! I'm telling you what I saw with my own eyes! His eyes twitched. Why aren't you doing anything? Do something! He needs help." My vision quickly blurred as I felt something quickly trickle down my cheeks. The grip on Oliver's hand only proceeded to get tighter. " Please Professors you have to do something, you saw what Marcus did. He purposely knocked Oliver off his broom!"
" Miss Potter, there is not much that can be done. We have to wait until Mr Wood awakes before we can determine what damage has been caused." Madam Pomfrey says to me in a soothing tone.
" Well can we move him into the infirmary? That way he can be more comfortable when he wakes up." My eyes clearly showed desperation at this point, tears pouring out of them. The two Professors glance at one another before nodding. Two male students from Ravenclaw bring over a stretcher and place it on the side where Madam Pomfrey once knelt.
" On three," she looks over at the two boys. One of the boy's rushes to my side and guides me out of the way before grabbing the other side of the stretcher. " One. Two. Three!" Madam Pomfrey shouts whilst the two students manage to lift the stretcher that Oliver is placed on. I ran other and took Oliver's hand back in mine and this time I felt him return the gesture.
" He moved! He squeezed my hand back!"
As I went to follow the group, I felt two arms tightly wrap themselves around my waist and stopped me. Trying to get out of the grip of the person who I knew would be one of the Twins, I let out tortuous screams. All I wanted to do is run to the injured Quidditch Captain and make sure he was okay. My main concern was him not remembering me when he wakes up.
" Iris, calm down, it's okay. He'll be okay." George shushes me as he doesn't once loosen his grip.
" W-where is he?"
"Who Iris?" George says quietly to me.
"Marcus, where is he?"
George removes his arms from around me and points to his right. I follow his instruction and that's when I spot Marcus and the rest of the Quidditch team. "Oh, he is going to pay!" I shout as I make my way other to him. Anger began to other take me, at this point I couldn't process what I was doing. Everything was blocked out. One minute I was standing next to George than the next my fist made contact with Marcus's cheekbone.
" What the hell Potter?!" Marcus lifts his hand up to where I just punched him.
" What was that up there? You have no right to push Oliver off his broom!"
" Oh guys, Wood's girlfriend came to back him up! Can't he fight his own battles?" Marcus leans down to me.
" I recommend getting the hell away from my face if you don't want a broken cheekbone," I warn him.
"Oh, as if! Look at you, you're pathetic. No wonder your parents aren't here, they never wanted you around!"
" You did not!" I clench my first and raise it to his cheekbone again which causes Marcus to fall to the ground with a groan. As I went to throw another punch at the Slytherin, someone I didn't want to appear did.
" Miss Potter! twenty points taken from Gryffindor for assaulting another student." Professor Snape snarls at me.
" He attacked Oliver!" I look at the Professor.
" I don't care what he did and didn't do, you still have no right to harm another student," he folds his arm over his chest.
" Says you?" I scoff.
" I beg your pardon."
"You know damn well what I'm on about. You jinxed Harry's broom, don't think myself and other students didn't see you. What is your problem Professor? Ever since we got here all you have done is show disrespect to not just me but my brother."
" I suggest you leave now, Miss Potter. Unless you want a detention that is?" The older male raises his eyebrows at me. Pointing a finger at the Slytherin that is still on the floor I turn to leave, "Never do that again, do I make myself clear?" Marcus looks up at me and nods vigorously.
