Tess felt the invisible hold release her and her supersonic scream stopped. She ripped her eyes open. No sign of the large eight glowing eyes in the darkness nor the titan's round silhouette was relieving. But her relief was short-lived.
The hills began to rise, and her side bangs blew above her head. A wave of panic flooded through her body and her eyes popped realizing she was falling.
Her feet hit the ground in the center of a ten feet wide crack. The sensation of her cheeks fusing sent a shiver over her body. She blinked away the disturbance and looked around.
The absence of green bloody scraps bewildered her. She squinted her eyes thinking they needed to adjust. But all she made out was the bare ground and high landforms. Where did the shape-shifting creatures go and where was the massive one?
