When Tess heard a high-pitched scream from someone she sure was not from her team, Jade froze, not making another blow of her sword.
Tess got a break to notice how darker the place got. Monster blood dripped from her eyebrows past her eyes and her hands were about to fall off. Steam rose from all parts of her.
Her self-esteem had been trampled and left on the road to die. When she looked around to see who yelled, the crowd of monsters made her heart sink.
Monsters began appearing from everywhere, not just parts on the ground that experience pressure from contact. She turned to see if it was the same on her other side, but her head froze at the sight of Jade staring at one of the untouched monsters.
