They were seconds away from teleporting to go face the Elites again. Tess thought that time moved faster compared to her past similar experience, but she was glad it would be over soon.
With her summoning gloves on, she kept her thumbs outside her fists so she could summon two swords in a split second if needed. Unknown to her, all her teammates did the same thing.
The white ground below their feet turned red and the new location flashed in front of their eyes.
"Why now?" said the deep voices in thousands, frightening them the second they appeared.
They didn't get to glimpse the white space that continued with no end before ear-piercing explosions sprang up everywhere. In the blink of an eye, the white canvas turned to a hot fiery red and the ground disappeared for them to fall towards a never-ending spread of lava!
