Chereads / Flameman / Chapter 23 - Chapter 23.

Chapter 23 - Chapter 23.

The bodies of Jacob, Dan, Arman, Ali and Jamal abruptly felt like they had lost their weight. However, this feeling swiftly disappeared an instant. Immediately, a strange space tunnel appeared within their sight.

The thing that appeared didn't seem to have an end . On the two sides of the tunnel was a faint black-colored spatial barrier. The upper and lower parts of the tunnel was a similar darkness that caused one to feel great fear. A dense spatial ripple faintly seeped out from them. The entire tunnel was dead quiet without even the slightest sound.

Seeing how different it is from back then, it won't be wrong to infer that Soso upgraded this thing.

Arman felt absent-minded upon seeing this kind of space tunnel for the first time. His gaze slowly looked over the barrier formed by spatial strength on both sides of the tunnel.

And a force that swept over from behind propelled them forward.

The force that was sweeping over, made them all attain random motion in the tunnel.

The manner in which their bodies moved was exactly similar to the movement of particles of matter in the gaseous state.

Arman was surprised to see that his bed too was in this tunnel.

It was more likely that the bed too was caught in the light.

He shook his hand to somehow reach the bed so that he would atleast get some stability.

But, it was no use.

And the reason?

It is very simple.

Newton's third laws of motion.

When we walk, we apply force on the ground.

And then the ground applies an equal and opposite force on our feet, thus propelling us further.

But here, in this vaccum where anyone could hardly breathe, there was nothing to push.

Arman saw that his mates and his brothers were getting stifled.

He had to do something quickly.

Faint-silver glows randomly appeared before Arman's stunned eyes.

Arman quickly summoned the fire vines to tie to the bed.

His body leaped and he climbed.

After solving one problem, Arman was greeted with a tons of problems.

The first one.

How would he get oxygen for his brothers and the twins.

The second one.

How long will his brothers and friends survive under the pressure exerted by the vaccum in their surroundings.

Arman glanced at his front with great grief.

Before looking at the spatial barrier on both sides. He quickly stretched out the fire vines and pulled his brothers on the bed.

"Will my beloved ones die today?"

Arman asked the Flame king with tears rolling over his cheeks.

No, the tears didn't roll on Arman's cheeks.

They were just pulled away due to the low pressure.

"No, it won't happen. How do you think that your brothers and friends are still alive?

And how do you think I could hear your voice in this dark realm of nothingness?

It is because of me.

As for the oxygen supply, one won't die if they don't get to breathe for a few seconds."

"Huh? A few seconds?"

Arman couldn't understand.

"We are about to exit this tunnel."

And streaks of light covered the area and Arman found himself on a cliff

Arman sighed in relief in his heart when he heard this. He sat crossed-legged on the cliff. He turned his head to Ali and Jamal and the rest.

Arman was so relieved to see that those whom he cherished are safe now.

A gentle warmth surged at Arman's lips, which took the form of a smile.

One that seemed to contain an unending ammount of love.

But then, Arman involuntarily turned his gaze.

"O predecessor of mine, do you have any ideas of who did it?"

The Flame king replied with a sigh.

"Of course, Soso that bastard.

Why doesn't he understand that I don't want to be a part of him?"

"Soso you say? Didn't you see that I killed him?"

Arman seemed to completely deny the Flame king's words.

The Flame King tried to elaborate it.

"Well, I did sense the presence of life in the wrecked spaceship.

But, I thought that he was on the brink of death.

And it is the truth. But, it seems that his robot saved him."

"I see."

The Flame king then continued his sentence.

"And also, the time required for teleportation seems to be way to less than what it took to teleport us. I guess that he delayed it on purpose. He thought that you might get further weakened by the spatial ripples and the extreme unstability. Thus, decreasing your chances of survival. But, fortunately you had me."

Arman nodded at what the Flame king said.

Arman had now understood Soso's intention.

He brought him to this deserted, hostile planet with no source of food.

And it would only be a matter of time till Soso would have the Flaming Nelerthoclase which he calls 'The Power Source' in his pockets.

But Arman wasn't the type to give up so easily.

But still, Arman didn't get one thing.

If Soso wanted to kill Arman, why didn't he bring Arman to a planet with extreme high temperature or extreme cold conditions.

Or some place with poisonous substances in the atmosphere?

Arman looked at the Flame king with that very question in mind.

The Flame king understood what Arman's gaze meant.

He gave a faint laugh

"If he wants to kill you with the help of extreme conditions, he will have to find a place which is atleast a hundred times. more hostile than Venus.

And even if he managed to find such a place within the range of his machine, he would be at a loss.

Because if a place is potent enough to kill you, it is potent enough to kill Soso too.

And even his robot will get destroyed in such conditions."

And before Arman could throw any further questions, the Flame king disappeared in the thin air.

Arman silently watched that happen.

What else could he do?

Over and above that was to survive as long as he could.

And he needed food and water for his brothers and friends too.

As they were not like him.

He looked around to see in what kinds of surroundings he was.

And it was a pale desert.

No trace of water, nor any plantation.

All Arman could see was sand, and pebbles spread over the sand all over.

Arman was so annoyed.

"This place was atleast supposed to have some cactus plants! I could have secured water from them. This Soso is for sure going to die by my hands."

Said Arman while turning his head side to side.

Arman firstly decided to move them to a safer place.

Arman started to dig a pit in the ground.

He wanted to burrow a hole like the gerbils m

This would make them cooler by protecting them from heat.

And, on top of that, Arman was a lot stronger than ordinary people and the which he luckily had forgotten in his pockets was also a great help in digging.

Often, Arman would get a feel of wierdness, as he was trying to dig with a dagger.

But, he consoled himself saying that.

"No worries, no one is here to witness this. So no one will laugh at me."

But then, the Flame king would come out and say.

"I am watching you, a wierd man who can't differentiate between a pickaxe and a dagger.

Arman for sure became angry due to this, but he reminded himself that he had a heavy load of work to do.

So, he kept quiet and continued with the digging, which was very unlike his nature.

After about ten minutes of digging, Arman found himself a large underground chamber which he had dug to make ten metres wide and eight metres long and four metres deep.

Arman himself was surprised that he dug that much in mere ten minutes.

Of course, this astonishing result was due to .

Arman put Ali, Jamal, Jacob and Dan inside the chamber.

He then for safety, covered the entrance with vines.

Now, the chamber could be considered safe.

And Arman knew that Soso was continuously monitoring him.

Arman had to now somehow get food and water, so he set out.

While on his journey, the Flame king did tell Arman that he should be aware of any strong alien species roaming around.

But Arman ignored it, because what form of life can exist in such a place?

Not a single type of source of food.

No water.

But still, Soso should be considered an idiot.

Because, he could have taken Arman to a planet of which composition of atmospheric gases is different from that of earth.

If he had done that, je could not only have easily killed Arman, retrieving the Nelerthoclase would also become easier.

But Arman didn't think about it much.

Because it were matters of which would cause his own loss.

Arman wasn't afraid of death.

But his beloved ones would also perish with him.

As Arman was aimlessly moving, he suddenly saw some kind if movement in the pebbly-sand.

Arman was intrigued to check what it was.

But, Arman gathered what it takes to maintain a reasoning ability.

It might be a trap.

But, there is a saying 'Curiosity killed the cat.'

In the same way, curiosity killed Arman.

Arman slowly approached the place where he saw the movement.

With his trembling hands, Arman slowly started to dig the ground.

After turning over the ground just about eight times, Arman found out what was inside.

The cranial region of a large being, of which only head was two feet wide.

Arman didn't dare to disturb the sleep of such a giant.

So, he slowly and silently, like a cat walked behind.

Arman hadn't even walked away three metres away from the organism, and then he saw another living being flying in the air.

It was the size of a bird.

Arman could easily kill it and it's corpse could be eaten.

Arman took aim and threw a small fire ball towards the bird.

And the fire ball hit the the organism. The thing died and started to fall to the ground.

But, it fell straight on the giant which was hibernating deep in the ground.

Tap.

It disturbed the giant's sleep.

Grrrraaaawrr!

It roared.

Arman's face looked like a dishcloth which had just been used to wipe shit.

Why did he have to be so greedy?

The giant jumped out of it's hibernating location angrily.

"Who dares to disturb my sleep?"

No, rather than shouting out like most demons and other kinds of monsters would do, it threw the question in a rather annoyed manner.

The giant looked around and found Arman.

"Who are you, human kid?"

It asked.

"Sorry sir, I didn't intend to provoke you.

Please excuse me, I have to go."

Arman tried his best to not get in the bad books of the giant.

"You disturbed me from my sleep and made me hungry and now you want me to let you go?" The giant threw out a question.

"You are hungry sir, then I won't mind you eating that thing which I killed for myself."

For a moment, Arman thought that he was free now. So he lifted his leg to move around, but then

The thing turned around to find a small dead body which was baked highly.

"This much won't do for me. Well, how about you offer me your body as food?"

Arman now realised that the intention of this thing infront of him were never to talk silently, But to eat Arman.

He also realised that there was no way to talk his way through.

So, Arman took a tighter hold on the flaming red .

He sprinted towards the giant and brought it down in a single strike.

Arman was trying to negotiate with this guy, that never meant that Arman couldn't defeat him.

It was just that Arman wasn't the likes of who attract unnecessary trouble.

But, if someone threatens his life, he would play a bet over his life.

[You have slain a lower grade giant]

Arman was now relieved, as he could now eat this guy who wanted to eat him.

But then, Arman sensed tremors in the ground.

Everything started to shake violently.

Arman was taken aback by this sudden and unprecedented event.

The entire ground itself shook even more violently as many giants jumped out of the sand.

Their numbers far exceeded a hundred.

And Soso became happy as he was watching this scene.

Arman had to now face of this many enemies.

"F**K ME!"

Fin.
