Chapter 22 - Chapter 22.

Ssshhhhhhhh Shhhhhhh

The sound of a magnesium ribbon burning could be heard.

Soso was working on something.

"Screw driver."

Soso ordered.

"Gimme the glue gun."

Soso said to Genius.

"Have it sir."

And the robot came with an entire tool box in its mechanical arm.

And Soso now ordered H.E.X.A.

"Something using which I can hide this correctly."

"Pardon?"

Soso gave a wry smile.

"Nevermind, I will get it myself."

After rummaging through another box kept next to him, he found a decorative tape.

He quickly pulled it out and cut off many strips of the tape.

He then wrapped it around something.

"Done."

Soso smirked.

"What is it, Boss?"

H.E.X.A. came by, to see what his Boss was working on since past eight hours.

But, to his surprise, there was nothing but a small box which seemed to contain something expensive inside.

H.E.X.A. thought that Soso was making something using which he could kill Arman.

But he was just working on some silly boxes which only little girls would like.

"Boss, may I know the purpose of this box?"

H.E.X.A. threw a question.

"The purpose? It's so obvious that its purpose is the death of that human kid Arman, and you are still asking?"

After completing his words, Soso gave a sarcastic smile.

H.E.X.A. immediately pushed Soso away.

He then took the little box in its hand.

He tried to scan every single corner of the box, trying Its best to probe it.

But, H.E.X.A.'s efforts were in vain.

This little box contained no explosives, no bullets, no antimatter, or any other types of destructive weapons.

Except for one chip implanted beneath it.

H.E.X.A. thought for a moment that this might be for eavesdropping.

But, that chip too didn't contain any kind of microphone or camera.

So it couldn't even perform the act of spying.

H.E.X.A. now seemed to have lost faith in its master - Soso.

Soso was once considered one of the most intelligent person in the entire galaxy.

But, here Soso is, making some stupid things and claiming it to be a weapon.

He looked at Soso in disappointment.

"Boss, maybe after spending forty two years of your life in depression, your brain has deteriorated.

You should consult a neurologist to prevent any further loss in your intelligence."

Soso stood up. Looking at H.E.X.A. with blood-shot eyes.

"You bastard! How dare you push me like that?"

H.E.X.A. apologised.

"Boss, I am very sorry for doing so, but this thing you made is worthless."

Soso continued to claim that this tiny box was enough to kill Arman, and that while avoiding Intergalactic Ranger 6983C i.e. Eveline.

"Worthless you say? You are my most worthless creation you wasted box of metal!

And I don't think that I have the qualifications to make something more worthless than you even if I live a billion times over!"

H.E.X.A. was now intrigued to now why did his Boss think that this puny little box which served no purpose was better than himself.

"Boss, then could you care giving me a demonstration?"

"Demonstration? Why not."

Soso then took out a flat thing which looked like a remote controller.

The controller like thing had a numerical keyboard on it and another button which was green in colour.

And in the lowermost part of it, there were three buttons denoting "X", "Y" and "Z".

Soso first pressed the X button and then typed a few numbers.

After that, he pressed the Y button and again typed some numbers.

And he repeated the same with the button Z.

Finally, he pressed the green coloured button.

White light engulfed Soso and H.E.X.A.

Because he was a robot, H.E.X.A wasn't affected much.

But, Soso was forced to close his eyes.

Genius, who was a little far from the both of them, was out of the light.

After completely covering the area, the light disappeared.

And when the light disappeared, Soso and H.E.X.A. were not there.

****************

When H.E.X.A. reopened his eyes, he found himself in a completely different place.

It was a great forest.

"Boss, where are we?"

Asked H.E.X.A.

Soso then curled his lips up and pursed his lips.

"It is a puny little forest on earth, which humans consider the greatest forest in the world. They call it... What was it? Hah! Amazon Jungle. We are in this Amazon thingy."

H.E.X.A then asked in surprise.

"A teleportation machine?"

"Absolutely."

H.E.XA. now realised that this thing really had a higher worth than himself.

No wonder his Boss valued this so much.

"I will explain the rest to you in the spaceship, let's go back."

And Soso again started to press the buttons.

And the green button again.

Light got emanated from it again.

And Soso and H.E.X.A. appeared in the spaceship again.

H.E.X.A. was not capable enough to get hold of his curiosity to listen the explanation of Soso about the box.

He wanted the much anticipated explanation right now!

Soso started explaining.

"The thing that teleported us wasn't the box, but the chip hidden under it.

All we have to do is to type in the co-ordinates in the controller. And then we have to press this button."

H.E.X.A. was completely taken aback by Soso's words.

"What? This will work like a wildfire! If the strong in this world get their hands on it, they will be able to easily teleport to distant lands and conquer the entire space!

Boss you really are a genius!"

Soso tried to continue his words.

"Well, it's not like what you think..."

H.E.X.A. was confused.

"Excuse me?"

"This chip has a high cooldown of only five times a day. And it has a limited range of only five hundred light years."

Soso finished his words.

H.E.X.A. was completely disappointed by Soso's words.

For humans of today's date, five hundred light years my might be too long.

But, for people like Soso, this was like five hundred kilometres.

Soso tried to justify.

"I know that this distance is too short, but still, teleportation is a gross activity.

It is already a miracle that teleportation actually works. And that without using even a shred of mana.

Whereas teleportation skills use so much mana that even thousands of strong people won't be able to fulfill its mana demands."

And every bit of what Soso said was true.

"Boss, so are we going to strike today?"

Asked Soso.

"No. Tomorrow, we will teleport Arman to a faraway and hostile location. There he will die and we will win."

With this, it was clear that the box had no purpose.

It only had to hide the chip implanted beneath it.

And the chip could work even without the box.

H.E.X.A then tried to ask for something.

"Boss, we have used it two times out of five times. Meaning that we have three times left.

So Boss, why waste these three chances? Let's once go on a quick tour."

"Hmmm."

Soso was giving it a thought.

His expression clearly defined that it was a 'No.'

"Please please please please please Boss!"

"Okay."

Soso agreed way too easily.

"So, where do you want to go?"

Saying so, Soso gave the remote controller to H.E.X.A.

"How about going to space?"

And without having a second thought and without wasting a second, H.E.X.A. put in the co-ordinates.

As H.E.X.A. was about to press the button, Soso quickly sprang on him.

"Don't! I too require air for breathi..."

But, Soso wasn't allowed to finish his words.

The light took them away.

And Soso found himself in space, and that without any space suit or an oxygen supply.

Without any suit, Soso's body was exposed to harsh conditions.

His body experienced extreme cold.

The pressure from space was pulling Soso apart vertically.

And it was squeezing him horizontally.

Under such a conditions, it was sure that Soso won't survive a long time id est ten seconds.

He tried to speak to H.E.X.A., who looked far better than Soso because he was a robot, to take him away from this place.

But, Soso's voice didn't seem to reach H.E.X.A.

All that H.E.X.A. understood was that his master was trying to say something.

As for what was the master saying?

That is unknown.

Because H.E.X.A. could only see Soso's lip movement.

Soso then quickly took out a metallic bottle of water and placed it's one end on H.E.X.A's microphones.

"You... Bastard.. Take me... somewhere else.."

H.E.X.A heard a faint voice, which was way too less than 1 Hertz.

Had Soso not installed ultra sensitive microphones which were prepared by him in H.E.X.A., the message could never be conveyed.

H.E.X.A. speedily feeded the machine some random co-ordinates.

And Soso was forced to close his eyes again.

After opening them, he found himself in a place which was extremely hot.

Soso jumped up and down.

The temperature of Soso's surroundings was more than enough to kill even the toughest Archaebacteria in an instant, id est, 341°C.

But, Soso was a little tougher than the Archaebacteria.

So, the time he would survive here would be the same as the previous location.

(Previous location is referred to that random location in space where Soso came just before he came here)

Soso checked the GPS to find that he was on a planet called "Gliese 876d"

"You piece of shit! Take me to the Spaceship!"

Said Soso in a dying voice.

"The spaceship? Are you sure Boss?"

Soso was already on the brink of death, but still, he mustered enough might to say a sentence.

"What is there to be sure in this?"

"Okay."

H.E.X.A. then teleported Soso to another location.

And this time, Soso had come to the right place.

The atmospheric pressure here was normal.

And the presence of various gases was what Soso was adapted to.

Right temperature and right ammount of gravitational force.

Soso thought that he really was in his spaceship.

But, when he opened his eyes, he found himself in a place that resembled that of a business conference room.

People seated on their chairs.

A person standing near a projector giving the presentation.

But, the viewers were aliens.

And they for sure were of a different species than that of Soso.

On seeing someone appear out of nowhere, the aliens all stood up.

They knew that the species which Soso was from wasn't found on their planet.

They saw a badge on the leather armour which Soso was wearing.

It was a badge which their enemies wore.

They realised that Soso was from their enemy planet. And that really was true.

"Guards, Get them!"

They shouted aloud.

And by now, Soso too understood his situation.

"You damn thing, where did you bring me?"

"I brought you there where you told me to, The Spaceship Pvt. Ltd. which designs various types of spaceships and manufactures them."

At this, Soso couldn't understand whether he should laugh or cry.

This foolish creation of his, brought him to a company which is located in the territory of enemies.

Soso hadn't even brought any of his guns with him.

All he had was a stupid H.E.X.A. which was of little use.

Even if he had brought his guns, he wouldn't have survived.

But still, he could have brought down a few enemies with himself.

"What are you thinking, quick! Give me the controller!"

Soso recieved the controller from H.E.X.A

He quickly put in it, the co-ordinates of where his ship was parked.

But, to his surprise, the chip didn't work no matter how many times Soso pressed the green button.

Soso took out the box and removed the chip to check what the problem was.

But, he could find no error in it.

H.E.X.A. then said.

"Boss, we already have used it five times."

Soso was doomed.

He had to somehow survive this entire day.

And for this day to be over, there was still six hours and twenty minutes.

************

The next day.

Arman, who was covered in scars left behind by Ali, sprang up from his bed way earlier than ever before.

And the reason?

Today was then when he would complete his assimilation.

He quickly took out the mat on which he was about to do the exercises.

He also picked up some weights, some dumbells, and a few other portable exercise equipment.

As for those which weren't portable, those were already placed on an empty space in the balcony that was attached to Arman's bedroom.

Before going to start the workout, Arman tried to wake up Jacob and Dan who had come to see him late in the night but couldn't return home.

But, his efforts were in vain.

"Hah."

As Arman was about to start up with stretching, someone threw a box in his room.

The box landed straight on Arman's face.

"What is it?"

He asked himself.

And then, light started seeping out from the box.

No, more precisely, from beneath the box.

Soon, the light not only engulfed Arman, but also the sleepy head Jacob and Dan and Arman's brothers who had come to check on him.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Fin.
