Well it seems the False Heroes witnessed something of great beauty. A true hero showing his strength. He may have fallen but it was under his own terms and with it he helped save the people he held dear...I must find what pit his unclean soul landed in and take him for myself...He would be great as an assistant researcher...Hm? Of course I can do that...You think 'Gods' rule the burning pits?...Wow...People really believe their pious teachings thoroughly don't they? Nevertheless it is time to see what happens here. Our pack has experienced close death before but in that scenario they did everything in their power to stop the end from coming...They blocked the sadness away as all adventurers do to keep their sanity for the trials they will face on the road and these people are very good at it...But even I can see the souls starting to lose their flame after witnessing of such power right in front of their eyes and them knowing that them even trying to get in front of this would just of made the old man's final fight harder for him...So they watched in awe and now...Now is the time where I think we will see there true beings...The part of them they wish to keep hiding from public eyes will emerge forth and show what a group of scorned and guilt ridden False Heroes can really do.
The light had taken all inside its glow and felt the warmth wash over them as they saw it. Mathis felt his body go cold and started to think about how this would be the end of his story. Then he heard Regals old voice once more as he opened his eyes and saw the souls of the man stand tall and proud before it spoke,
''This is a message to all the men and women that were in the town. I placed some of my energy inside you all...Was worried about the monk but after I saw what he was I knew his old man had something like this planned even from beyond the grave...You will all stand and finish this. I will not let any of you hear the end of it if Glassand's history ends today. Don't make me haunt you for the rest of your days now!''
The visage looked to the left of the prince and outstretched his hand.
Mathis tried to feel what he was reaching for but only batted at the air as the druid spoke,
''Well then my son and daughter...Though you were not born my children your father was a grand man...I believe it's time to tell you his story. His name was Perry Lakefield...An immortal that was cursed...He replayed his life more times than he could remember but he always made jokes about this one being the best he could of hoped for...Because of the people he meet...and the children he fathered...He is still alive in that land. I can be sure of that since he was barely even eighteen when he left last...He made trips back a lot and one of them is where you two came from...He cheated on his love so that your mother and sister would have someone to protect them...The Dragon Isles Archipelago is where his mission took him...Stay with Mathis since he should know all about it… I love you both so much so please...Tell your sister that she is a fine adult he would have been proud of.''
The old man let loose one tear with a smile before he turned over now facing his back to the prince before he continued,
''Right Elias...You got a lot of work to do to keep this place...Sorry...Re-bulid this place to not just what it was before but to something amazing that I can smile at in the afterlife...The prince should be able to fund you just don't do anything stupid got it? You have a few decades until we meet again and I may not like that...I also love it. Live your life to the fullest my friend...Oh and go find a pretty girl and have some kids! You always talked about it so get moving….Your the old man of Glassand now so enjoy! Ha!''
Mathis had finally figured it out through the haze that filled his vision now seeing the light turn to him.
''Well then...The False Heroes…The ones who wish to kill these things and rid them from the world? Don't make me laugh!...I respect your goal but you are not powerful enough to be thinking like that...Not yet anyway. Train as hard as you can...I can see already you have but that was controlled...Time to fight and talk your way out of the infinite hells then maybe...Just maybe...I will be talking about the fact I meet the False Heroes when they were still pups and made them shit themselves from my power! Yeah I like that...Make it happen for me okay? Make sure these steps are toppled and the world can live again...We will never have another era of golden peace and I don't expect you to bring that back...What I do expect though is you to mould the twisted world into something that makes this town better than you found it...I know you will do well...OH! You may want to finish off that thing before my effort goes to waste!...Goodbye to you all...Remember the name Regal Quillton forevermore!''
The visage started to dissipate as the light finally faded away.
Wilt felt the power radiating from the town as the goblin had been sprinting as fast as his stubby legs would take him. Approaching what should of been the opening to the town before a large blinding light began enveloping almost everything, forcing Wilt to act imaginatively speaking a rushed incantation,
"Progressia advances this sand to its next form!"
The goblin hastily said as he brought his hands to the sands, forging the grains together as it formed to intersecting walls of sandstone. The light and heat ripped passed the goblin, chipping away every moment before Wilt could not maintain his grip on the spell as he collapsed, dragging the goblin around ten feet into the air before his body began tumbling to the ground. Still spinning as he collided with the soft sand and bits of rubble below. He barely managed to roll to his feet, looking up as the light began to fade as he eyes regained sight once more, looking to where it came from all he saw was a soft glowing visage and the elements around him ignoring the laws set by the gods slowly moving forward towards the elements chaos, passed the destroyed wreckage of a hundred lives. He started hearing an inaudible sound coming from the spirit, he saw a bottle of water somehow unscathed,
"I need this. all that running for nothing?"
He said popping the cap off as he approached the group was scattered bearly insight he could just about the angel looked shaken looking over the town his wings flapping slowly in the distance, the goliath was walking to the spirit, eyes watering as he dropped his weapon, Wilt did not know what had happened nor did he see Bee, Mathis, Mathew or Sophie. Getting closer he saw the goliath collapse muttering something as the spirits glow fading away every passing moment before fading from this world.
The floating elements started falling to the ground in a symphony of sounds resembling an applause. The False Heroes seemed to wake from their spiritual contact, seeing Kyu fall to his knees panting like a dog as his wings dispersed into nothingness. Wilt began bending low as he picked up some of the dust running through his hand before hearing a distorted voice from above,
"Spawns of lands varied, pray now for a true god will perform what you would call a miracle."
The contorted body of Bee was now pulling out his small hammer. Sand and particles seemed to wrap around it's handle before covering the head, melting into obsidian as he raised the weapon, it's head now having two jutting spikes coming out as it steamed a black vapor,
"Now that's the last of the demon's flame has been purged. We shall begin the cleansing.''
he placed the hammer into the ground, sending a tremor tough it as he began to search for Shitto but only finding small fragments of him imbedded into the sands, pulling his hammer then yelling to the group who was watching the god with intent,
"Prepare for the step is hiding somewhere in one of the remaining buildings! trying to outlast my time!"
Kyu and Wilt looked at each other before scattering quickly into separate directions. Making Wilt began to think hard,
'Shitto is here...how? When? Why? None of this makes any sense. But if we need to find a blob then that may work?'
The goblin chuckled to himself proudly, pulling out powders and then he grabbed a jar, one he forgot about it's purple ooze vibrating and hot to the touch pulling it out. As he tipped powders of multiple colours on the sandy ground, mixing it together then throwing into the air,
"Progressia, I need your guidance. Power these powders to purge this plight."
The powders glow up before shaping into small small bees. Gliding through the air in a line towards the melted window of That Place. While a couple flow over to the jar, scuttling over its glass entirely. Wilt picked it up and placed it in the unfinished bottomless bag safe from the outside as he did the goblin heard a vile scream and an angry roar as the False heroes changed their path towards the establishment and as he did, a Grande pike goes through the door effortlessly cutting through the air before Wilt hears a familiar yell filled with much more venom than most times,
"Lytesbane!"
As the Prince arrived in the room he was met by a horrific sight, one he had not witnessed since leaving his position as warden only a short couple months ago. He saw his new draconic knight being held up by the chain of Storm Caller by his own sister. Her aura was dark and her eyes shined a dirty gold, more and more as she took sight of the prince, making him stretch out his arm and reform his weapon,
''So you figured out you were not escaping here huh Shitto?''
The girl let out a sadistic smile that beamed from each cheek as the cackle started, warped and layered with that of Shitto's,
''So you REALLY are a smart one? No matter! You will leave now and accept that this town is mine!''
The girl's eye went black as the bar was covered in the black sludge and kept the rest from seeing what was happening inside. Mathis looked around and laughed as he pointed his bladed pike towards the girl,
''Oi Drago...Not happy about you getting captured you know...Hopefully I can give you the opportunity to show me.''
The girl stopped smiling as a single tear fell but did not stop her from sparking the chain into life. The pale blue stayed to surge through the draconic man. His body condensed and wreathed before it stretched out the claw and took hold of his sister, making her share the pain before biting down hard on her left shoulder with his fangs, ripping it off in a stage of viscera. Shitto felt the pain and knew this was it. He intended to escape now but before he had placed his foot onto the ground, he felt a blunt object almost puncture the girl's body, seeing from his periphery it was the prince's elbow in the ribs. He spoke soft but true making the monstrosity fear what was to come,
''Your sacrifice will not be in vain. The first gate shall cleanse this mess.''
As the girl was about to fly from the impact, the aura of black stretched over the half elven skin and spring boarded her through many tables, finishing against the large bar cabinet. Shards of broken bottles in her skin being cleansed with the dripping golds and clear liquors that now drenched her body before a broken voice cracked out.
''Oh...I see...I will have to kill you-''
He was interrupted by the flash of black that made the prince stand before him. Before he could even think, a foot now pushing the head into the Oozing wall he created with a monstrous thud. A lifted leg was brought down, repeating the sequence with a more cold look every step before Matthew grabbed his shoulder and pleaded for his sister,
''Please my lord! The soul that resides is the target! We can save-''
He brought his foot down once more with more power and sending the debris of the previous collision flying into the ooze and seeping away,
''The time for that has passed. We end this now.''
He brought his leg up again before wrapping the bandage off the dragon's face and wrapping it around his right leg tight. He did not bring it straight on the head but pulled it to the left, making his body horizontal to the floor before muttering to himself once more,
''You will never be free of the judgment I will serve you and your family. Regal will rest knowing in the fourth gate I will sever you from this world for good.''
His leg was pushed faster than the boy could see as he was pushed flying back into a table by the force alone. A secondary force made him hit the ooze with even more of an impact, the wall was trying to take him whole but he pulled his eye forward and saw what was the cause. A black claw of putrid ooze met the leg but was snapped, still holding its position before he was brought into the wall but was able to keep his head out to see. The monstrosity pushed back, making the prince spin the opposite way, spinning on the heel as he landed and then jumping horizontal once more, avoiding the chain that came from below and the dagger that was thrown above him.
Mathis kicked the air to push himself towards the girl who started to take a high defensive stance but was blindsided by a slash to the leg, losing her balance and looking down to see One coming through the floor with his large claw, striking clean through the back of the knee. This second of distraction was enough for Mathis, placing his fist into her ribs but this time grabbed the wrappings before she flew, pulling them tight and snapping her body back into a spinning kick that was made from the momentum of the pull itself, slamming her into the ground. The young man was amazed at what he saw. His lord standing triumphant above a strong opponent. He wrapped his other leg before turning towards the young man with a smile, kicking the wall. Making the ooze shake enough for Matthew to fall out and land on his knees, rolling towards the prince who spoke rather proudly,
''Well if it's good enough for my father to kill a dragon then it's good enough for me to kill a piece of Shitto...Come on that was good! "
Mathew looked at his lords before clearing his thoughts, making himself up speak in the most Knightley manner he knew,
"As a knight of the….sky land-"
Mathis interjected,
"Rocoto."
"As a knight of Rocoto I am not allowed to lie and no...I've heard better for the drunks...My Lord."
He said almost forgetting the prince's title as he saw the blood hit his face but still see the hole made in the princes lower torso before he was pulled to the still laying body of Sophie, using the momentum to swing the body separate to the tendril and bring the dagger down into the shoulder, pinning the prince to the ground, almost slashing his shoulder off before kicking deep into his ribs,
''YOU LITTLE POMPOUS FUCK! I'M DONE WITH YOUR FUCKING LINEAGE! ALWAYS ACTING LIKE HEROES! THEY! DON'T! EXIST! ANYMORE!'
'
Each of the last four words made more venom spit from the mouth and more power placed in the kick. Matthew was distraught at the choice he must make. His lord that had saved him and gave him a chance at life once more was being killed by his beloved sister. Possessed by a spawn from the lowest depths. He did not think as he stood and tackled the distracted monstrosity. Grabbing the chain that was wrapped around her arm and roared loud into her face,
''My sister will not accept such a putrid 'God' such as you as her source of power! She would rather die!''
As his words finished a bolt of pale blue started from both his mouth and the chain, sparking her skin and charring her face. Her hair was next to gone but a few faint blonde wisps and her eye was now moving on its own. Her arm would not stop moving on its own and it visibly irritated the creature before he snapped his fingers on the good hand and made the ooze raise in a putrid spear and enter the dragon man's leg. Lifting him upside down as it ripped clean off making him fall to his head. His vision was blurred but her saw the monstrosity in his sisters body walk towards him as he heard her normal voice clear as day,
''Matty...Run...PLEA…''
The voice distorted once more,
''Oh she thought she had a say in this? Poor child...I will make you kill your brother first I think.''
The scene was interrupted as a blinding glow enveloping the room as a vortex began blowing air and light though before a wing stabbed though Sophie abdomen as light returned to her burnt remaining eye momentarily,
"Matty...I'm going to"
Before the light faded completely, the black ooze spilled from her eyes and chest before a second blade plunged. Matthew seeing the blade contract passed through her exposed temple and into her brain, the wing twisted sideways. Mathew watched as his sister's remains were lifted into the air, the sharp flexible wing turned, digging deeper though her body as it spazzed. ,Mathew almost didn't hear the angel speak as he fully materialized, a green glow coming from his eye and black blood trailing down the left side if his face,
"Why did you do it?! you were just there! Why are you even here?! I will pull you out of this waste of meat to put you back together again!"
The fallen words were frantic as he grabbed Scarlet Scream. The blade was still in her temple, covering the room with blood, ooze and brain matter as he bent the blade inwards before ripping it out, stabbing it though the back of Sophie's skull. Going through her mouth tearing through bone, muscles and teeth before letting go of his dagger, lifting his wing to the ceiling be for being it down screaming,
"You did this, it's all your fault, you're a fraud! you pest! you devil! I'll slice you till you can't come back then put you back together over and over. They didn't deserve this!"
The angel's voice began snapping as he flung the bloodied Sophie to the floor, her body mangled by the angel, it rolled across the wooden tiles before the dagger in her mouth logged itself into the ground only a couple feet away from the stund dragonic man. Her very brother and the unconscious Prince.
It is sad to see the pious angel finally break...I will weep for him but I will always feel cheated by looking at this...That extra body...It would have been enough to not allow this...Hatred of a lineage but...But when someone who I respect aligns with someone that can be good then...It throws my piously out the window now doesn't it...Tysol did as well as he could but he put to much trust in the young lad...But still...Battle makes brilliance...Double that fighting something like that and living to tell his tale...That abomination does not deserve to stand in their presence and that...That is saying something putrid about his very core...Oh It seems the almighty lord has returned from his personal business...Do not worry. I did not damage your tomb and neither would I be stupid or brave enough too try that...Just continue the story...My research depends on it.
