So do explain how there is a speck on the top corner of this page? I swear I leave you alone so I can do my godly duties for less than ten minutes and you skip ahead to the good stuff without me. Well I have caught up now and I must say you are right about the young man Matthew...But his lord did everything correct and it was only his inexperienced that faulted him...Now with this monstrosity taking over the body of one of the newer False Heroes kin, I'd be surprised if he intends to let this end happily now don't you? We will finally see the False Heroes fight with no thought of escape. The moment when true heroes are born.
Kyu now stood panting and shaking. His brilliant robes covered with browns of dirt but mostly the black and crimson of the blood mixing in. The almost unrecognizable body laid flat and did not move with Scarlet Scream still jutting out, handle first now glowing a soft brown that was almost white. Crimson blood had covered almost all her fair skin by this point as the blood still pooled below.
The black Ooze that enveloped the establishment started to seep away. Revealing the rest of the crew and Elias all moving quick to see the heavily injured Mathis and Matthew before Wilt began to pull powders from his bag once more, shaking and pulling things out in handfuls, spilling them everywhere,
''Progressia please...Let me save my friends with the progress of my calm mind!''
The light began to blur to bend and curve through the air in waves, enveloping his companions before springing into their forms flowing like a beat into the chest and brains. Wilt raised his arm then swang it to the side, yelling out,
"Shaad!"
As he spoke a dull gray smoke was conjured between his hands. Instantly jutting up then shaping into a Gray Sytch, looking around for any signs of the abomination still living as he saw the Prince and his knight begin breathing more stately as he slowly approached them, careful to not disturb the fallen as he had a look of a cursed man having an epiphany. Moving to their sights as he say the golden being began to move towards the fallen, placing a hand in his shoulder before whispering into his ear,
"Enough nonsense bird. Heal your allies.. Just like your kin. Breaking down when things don't go your way."
He said as the bird got to his feet going to the handle of Scarlet Scream before gripping it before darkness took his vision. The air in his lungs felt like they were being stolen as the sounds were beginning to muffel to the point Kyu felt like he was in an endless empty void. Out of the silent nothing that was a sound, that of a woman young and innocent laughing in the azamaars mind.
'An angel is who I first meet?'
The thoughts rushed into his mind as his vision started to blacken. Feeling only a piercing feeling, burying itself into the his abdomen then bursting through his back like a parasite now moving to the sand covered chest of the possessed demon, rebounding off their hardened skin and reflecting back to the angel, phasing through him like a ghost as Kyu began screaming from the agonizing pain, his eyes glowing intensely as the tendrell retracted back to its master, ripping through the first hole leaving a wound the size of a large fist, spewing out black blood across the wooden tiles before the sound of tenderizing meat pounding.
The Prince could barely move but he knew he didn't need too much for this spell. Somehow making his fingers click through the sticky resin of his own blood as from the shadows the imp appeared. Seeing his master and his critically injured companions and the ghastly form that was Sophie, reforming the abomination. The voice of the young woman spoke on his mind, the remains of Sophie's mouth opened showing rows of eyes and shattered remains of bones and teeth as they seemed to move back and through, scanning everything and nothing as the endless rows repeatedly turned before the center column began to focus on the golden warrior. The other lines seemed to have stopped, all looking towards where the mine was located, turning its body, bones and muscles tearing as the screams of a thousand children crying mixed with a symphony of gargling. The remains of Sophie's vocal were ripped into tatters before it's mad scrambled sounds became more audible,
"Yuugg I wullljmgh hagvege yowur soul Awazzahehe!"
The eyes glow a bright purple before turning as black as the void. Turning and pulling themself inwards, the body crippling into a ball, bits of ooze began wrenching itself out of the sand, the wall ripping through the air to a black vortex dragging sand and blood with it as it imploded into itself. Leaving the air devoid of all moisture as the screams of the fallen False Heroes could be heard throughout what remains of the town, echoing echoing into the vast desert.
The air was thick and hot as the leader of the pieces of the puzzle ran towards the remains of Glassand. The area was hot and steaming as he jumped over some of the broken or molten support beams, keeping his stride as his senses were telling him to leave, getting more and more intense as he ran over the remains of the hot sands before below his feet felt strange. As if a snake that was willing to strike, Feeling a sense of dread the half mix jumped then clicking his fingers as a jet of hot wind rose with him, phasing and moving faster than the flames could rise through the remains till he found that in the centre of the town, That Place still stood but only just.
He saw chunks of a strange substance all moving into the bar. Dragging rubble and dirt with it as the half mix glided towards the establishment, the air was becoming ever finer as he began descending, landing on one of the non molten rocks, he saw what appears to be an eldritch abomination, its many eyes looking into the holy puzzle pieces soul as it's screamed in unholy pain before it began compacting into a black vortex. The half mix couldn't get there in time as the air was filled with piercing screams of men in agony meeting the monk as he bursted through the door. What greeted him now burning into his one remaining deep forest green eye,
"What in the name of Daedalus...No...What in the name of the infinite hells happened here?''
His senses were on edge, he saw a sand covered demon take his eyes off the fallen before turning to the puzzle piece, his reflective glass eyes still dropping looked before speaking,
"Your family is at death's door and I cannot keep them on this plane. Use your sky serpent god power to stop death approaching then you must leave this place as fast as you can. For my storm is almost upon us"
Jericho didn't know what was happening, but he felt no threat from this demon, as he moved towards his screaming brother and Mathew who was clutching his stump shaking, trembling and breathing erratically. The monk got closer to Mathis, placing both hands on his brother's gaping wounds, speaking out an invocation.
"I, Jerico, the centerpiece of the grand puzzle, call out to fix your last speakers, breathe new life into him once again, Daedalus do not let this be his end."
The winds of the sands began collecting and churning towards That Place. A torrent of grey winds carved through the air that raised the debris in small chunks and danced in the dull shining gales before wrapping around his brother. Filling the hole left in his torso with a bright shine and a drip of clear sweat shining from its reflection ran down his panicked face, before the eldest brother then went to the broken Mathew. Changing the flow of wind and light as the patterns of dull winds began traveling around the the dragonic man's body, then around the room as Jericho began to take in a deep breath, thinking about what possible could of transpired, looking around to the other body littering the wooden tiles on the ground before he spoke out once again,
"Dadalus brings the purifying winds to heal these poor souls. Now daedalus. Silver gales."
The winds began stitching their wounds closed before enveloping them in the gales, turning into multi laced ribbons rippling around the room. Before the elder Prince began to speak, conducting has hands as he turned to look at the possessed demon with drained saddened look in his green eye,
"They should not die but They are in severe agony even as I speak, once this is done we will be having words. Demon"
He said before slamming his hands to the ground. Raising the body's as if they were feathers in the wind as they were sent perfectly drifting through the remains of the doors.
The god looked at the half mix, his sandy complexion growing ever dimmer as pieces of the armor began falling to the ground in small fragments. As he began speaking, his voice shifting slightly as he began speaking,
"I would not worry about that right now. The storm is upon you and I cannot stop it."
He said as his body began to shrink down. Bones shifting and snapping back into place as Bee collapsed to the ground, panting intently as he just about managed to catch himself from completely falling. Jericho seeing this helped the demon to his feet as the last of the sand and fragments of glass shifted off his body onto the wooden tiles, helping the demon walk to the remains of That Place, Jericho asked as he lowered the demon,
"Can you hear me Bee? Are you able to stand?"
Jericho asked, now looking at the demons now sand clad eyes. Looking up towards Jericho as he asked,
"Where are we?...How are you here?....where are the guys?
The demon huffed as he slowly spoke. His eyes not truly focusing on the elder,
''What time is it? Did I sleep all day?''
Jericho was confused at these words until the shadow start looming over him also, turning and seeing the darkness as the tremors below started making Bee speak,
''The...Hammer...Is about to come down.''
The half-mix was worried visibly, his lip quivering and his eye refusing to stop twitching. He ran to the door as fast as he could and saw the ball of golden sand that eclipsed the far stretching sun. Making its way down into the towns remains, making Jericho clasp his hands and compose himself. He took a low and sturdy stance as he whispered in between his sharp inhalations and his shallow exhalations,
''The Force of the Forgotten will show to not be bested by one whose name is still lost to the world! FORCE OF THE FORGOTTEN! HOLY DRAGONS ROAR!''
His feet slides across the ground fast in a perfect semi circle, His eye darted towards the giant ball of falling sand as he sharply inhaled one last time, his skin became that of a visage of flowing grey scales, formed by the winds moving, being clouded by the sand and debris the vicinity was now full of, The sky above shoot lightning into the ground in varying locations as Bee walked out and saw what was coming before he shouted,
''The fuck are you waiting for?! You will kill us all if it gets any lower!'
''I know! Do me a favor!''
The demon was confused by this before Jericho continued,
''Use whatever power you and that sand demon have left! Push that higher into the sky and then when I can hit it-''
''You'll be fully charged and be able to send it flying right?''
Bee was now standing next to the prince who did not see him move but only smiled, keeping his good eye on the ball,
''Seems easy enough right? Now go! Show me why my brother sees you fit to guard a royal of Recocto!''
Bee pulled his Warhammer down and began to swing it from its furthest point from him, his velocity started to accell before he let out gargled words to the prince,
''Don't...Forget...I'm...A Royal now too!'
'
The hammer started forming its white hot ring of hellfire before an Orcish shade appeared from the ground, its torso, arms and head all above while its lower half started to surround the demon and sprouting a incantation in a long dead demonic tongue, making the hammer spin at even greater speed. Jericho looked back to see the half dead Wilt, A pool of his own blood laying under him but his sytch that was almost the size of him was being held just, shaking so violently from the goblins lack of remaining strength, The older half-mix was shocked by the man's level of loyalty before he saw that a aura of sandy brown also started to enter the mix. The goliath had forced himself to his knees and covered his chest with blood still dripping past. Then the moment that made him almost lose his concentration, His brother was sat up with Lytesbane in his armoured form helping him to a upright position, his eyes of vibrant purple and green slowly starting to fade as he thought to himself,
'No you fool...They will help him! You do not need to!'
He went to break his stance before he saw what his brother had planned. The suit dissipated as his eyes seemed to lose their luster for a second. Mathis slumped back against the broken wall. The suit was now being adorned by the demon making his speed increase even more before Jericho smiled and spoke loud,
''Don't waste your chance brother! Throw it now!''
Bee roared a loud declaration as he released the weapon, tearing of the atmosphere around it,
''A SWEET KISS ON THE HEAD FROM THE FALSE HEROES!''
As the Warhammer took the shape of a pure white comet. Its tail was so hot it shined a green and blue depending where you saw it from. Collided in a great crescendo of glass of all varieties shattering in time being kept held in place by the comet trying to return to the stars.
Bee looked up through his dizzy sight. Lifting his arms before he thought to himself,
'Come on then Exodia...One final push?'
He heard a tired voice speak back to him,
'Last time for a while but fine...Do not let us die.'
The sands started to rise at great velocity to meet the hammer and opposite force, Looking now like a wild creation of the gods. Sands flowing at deadly speeds from both directions but at its core, A shining white flame that crystallised the shifting sands around it until it was starting to spread and push higher into the air. Jericho knew this was his chance to end this once and for all, his legs bent low as he vanished from sight before being underneath the large deadly blob of the area before he shouted loud and proud,
''ROAR O GREAT SKY DRAGON! BLACK GALE TORNADO!''
His body started to spin but only a second past before he was moving beyond recognition, disappearing to the mortal eye, leaving only a tornado of black in his place that shot out a bullet of pure white, piercing through the opposing force like nothing until appearing on the other side. The blob began to shine bright before dissipating into the sky. Raining down its soft brown grain around the flares of the destroyed town, quenching the local flames to nothing before the land seemed quiet and vacant once more.
Baarias saw this beautiful brown snow start to fall as she was leaving the mine. She told the others to stay and watch over the locals and they did what they could is what she thought. The distraction of the falling grains was now not in her mind as her legs started taking her on their own. She started to worry when Jericho had been gone so long and now her thoughts ran to her elder and younger brother along with her husband and what had happened to them. She arrived at the town when the sandy rains ceased. Now seeing something that brought her to tears, Her husband lying face down over her older brother who was starting to move, before she ran to them she scanned the area but that only made things worse. She saw her younger brother slumped against a broken wall, blood pooling under him as a hole stretched across his lower torso. She was indecisive but saw that Jericho was starting to sit up and moved to her younger brother.
As she arrived his eyes slightly moved to her, A happy smile broke her teared face as he forced out a broken voice through the cracks in his breath,
''You...Turned up...Way to late...As usual.''
She laughed at him before her hands were over his gaping wound, her eyes never looking down at it and locking into his faded eyes before she uttered her incantation,
''O great lady of progression! Hear my words clear! Make my magic the purest it can be! Allow it to bring my comrades and loved ones away from death's touch and for them not walk through the pure demons gate!''
The vibrant pink seemed to turn a blinding white around the area before leaving just as quick. Mathis had a shine back in his eyes as they twitched towards his sister and spoke more clear,
''Can I...Get up?''
''No you will be in bed even with healing for at least two months...Rest now Willy...I must check the rest.''
Mathis tried to look angered at this but only looked like a tired child,
''Don't...Call me...Will…''
The wood elf drifted off to sleep, his snores showing his quick betterment making Baarias smile before looking back towards her other brother, he was helping Kyu up to his knees, The angel still slightly swaying back and forth before releasing a vomit all over the charred floor in front of the remains that still stood of That Place making Jericho turn to his sister and smile, Her worry seed to start flowing away as the False Heroes seemed fit to fight one day again.
A month had passed since that horrid day. The people have started to rebuild the town as it now looks better than before already with the help of the people of Recocto. The royals all went back to the flying kingdom after scolding the crew for being so reckless. The mines have been reopened with money from their veins starting to make Tysol Industries have a well secured pouch of money to invest in. The False Heroes all had statues of Sandstone made of them with Elias placing an enchantment on them so they would stand forevermore.
As for the actual False Heroes most took at least a month until they were ready to walk again by themselves. Kyu was the first to be at his usual self once more but seemed more focused to make his allies stand tall quicker. Matthew was the next, having had a clawed leg replace the one he lost and learning to use it in the weeks before Wilt became the next to start being normal. He helped the angel with the tasks for another week until Bee was standing again himself. Mathis was still sleeping his days away but showed no signs of regression. Wilt made his way off on a personal quest that should take him four months on his own. Once Matthew heard from Kyu that Mathis would not be awake until near the time he returned then the dragon offered to help. Wilt took him up on that option as they made their way through the sands into the world.
Baarias and Yyvone made trips into the town to see there brother whenever they could in this time but Orelia never left his side until her state made Kyu advise the girl against staying. Reluctantly she agreed but told the two men to contact her if anything should happen. Two weeks later Mathis finally awoke. The angel along with the demon both started crying and hugging the prince to his disdain, pulling Lytesbane from the air. The situation was explained to the prince while he had his first sip of Sand Storm in what felt like years and let out a smile, he started to walk then run before he swung his weapon with the same velocity before, finally it seemed to move faster along with his crew before it had been eight months from that fateful night.
Wilt and Matthew returned only days after Mathis woke and started to train along with him. The town they had found at the start now finally resembled more of a kingdom. The mines now both belonged to Tysol Industries and now was one of the highest distributors of ores on the Badlands. Elias was finally able to make weapons and armor that matched his skill and his sales rose. Wilt started teaching those with small potential of magic in the ways of Alchemy while Kyu started training the next line of Glassands clerics while Bee took his role of General, Matthew being his right hand after his return.
All was good until one morning. Mathis rushed out of his home and screamed loud to all,
''It is happening! Anyone that is not up in ten minutes is getting left behind-''
Before he could finish, Kyu came bursting out and flew straight into the demons hut from the start and dragged his still sleeping body out, now standing in front of Mathis with anticipation in his voice,
''We must hurry! Only I can give these children the ultimate start in-''
''Buddy...What did Ores say she would do?''
His face looked panicked as he dropped the dwarf who did not finch but roll into a ball and snore away as the angel spoke with fear you would hear in a small child's voice,
''P-Please don't let Barrias do it...Please Mathis!''
The prince smiled and tapped him on the shoulder as the flames of black took over the three and made them. Now in front of a large building on the beautiful land of Recocto, a building they never stood in front of had his sisters and brother standing in tears and pulling him in, Jericho only smiled as passed, looking back to his crew who smiled, Bee even opening his eyes and raising his thumb. The prince ran inside as we see the crew talk with the royal siblings but on a roof across high up we see what looks to be Mathis, only in his hundreds, A Gi of musky white and gold and his eyes a deep green and bright violet, he spoke with a gruff tone,
''Make sure they do not fall for your ways brother...Well done.''
The doors kept opening fast as Mathis only had thoughts fly through his head,
'Is it twins like the seers said? Two Boys? What about two girls? What is happening?'
His thoughts broke as he was told he only had two more doors to walk through. Mind now vacant and time crawling to a stop as he made his way through, anxious of the outcome that was going to happen before he was at the final door and with a deep breath, remembering that his family...All his family was waiting for him and the outcome, slamming them open and proceeding inside.
Hours had passed with all the royals still sitting outside the hospital. Gura, Bee and Yyvonne were sitting by the front doors with Jericho going inside to speak to the officials. Kyu was staring at a rooftop with his eyes squinting when Baarias walked over to him,
''Honey...What are-''
His green eye started to shine, releasing his wings fast before a blur was seen standing behind him, chopping the top of his spine and making the Azamaar fall to the ground. Bee saw this from the seat and rose quick, Hammer in hand until his wife spoke,
''Idiot!! That is-''
''I don't give a fuck who he is.''
Gura was shocked at this, not given any time to speak before Bee charged off, spouting loud a incantation that sounded like Mathis,
''Let the fires split and take the lands with haste!''
His step made his body catch ablaze, splitting into three of the small demons all charging at the blur, now showing to be a large Orc with his eyes closed under his hood, smiling as he raised one hand, curving his inner elbow out and making a arch before proclaiming loud,
''Let's see what you can do spawn.''
The demon barrelled towards the man, clone either side before the man spoke,
''Mathis taught you the little parlour trick eh?''
The man took his stance, lifting his foot before placing it behind him, making two clones grow from his shadow now charging back. Bee saw these but paid them no attention, sliding between one's legs and darting towards the main body, His clones proceeding to bring their hammers down to no avail. The Orc found this amusing until he felt their presence being drained, opening his eyes and showing the price colouration as he saw why. Golden sands wrapped and ate away at the clones, engulfing their flames, releasing only vapour as the man looked back towards the real one, Eyes of jet black now swirling with the same sands.
Bee was now five feet away from his target before he heard Exodia speak once more,
''I will give you power for this. Do not fail me as this is one-''
''SHUT UP AND DO IT ALREADY!''
Bee screamed as he started to bring his hammer down, the man proceeding to release his palm to block but at the last second the weapons head was enveloped. Sands now flowing and changing shapes into a whip wrapping around the mans forearm, making him smile big before he spoke,
''Not bad. Time to end this mind."
Bee did not care. He went to pull the man only for him to jump himself, spiralling in the air and landing on the weapons sandy guard. He was able to break free with another jump, forming two more clones from the shadow of the weapon, sending one either side of him, making Bee try to move only to fall through the floor itself, seeing the man with a hand through a crack in the sky, pulling him threw and throwing him fifteen feet to the floor but was met with a knee in either side of his back, taking the breath from his lungs be fading out to nothing.
The demon woke inside a bed. White walls all around him and screams of pain could be heard, making him place his hands in his head and speak aloud,
''Oh gods...Is this my hell?''
''Wow you really are an idiot.''
Bee snapped his head back up, seeing Mathis smiling as he entered the room, taking a seat on the beds end and looking at the door before the demon spoke,
''Well I'd like to think that I will take any fight but that guy…''
Mathis turned with his smile still gleaming,
''Don't worry about it. You'll face close to that on the journey...Not many people can say they almost trapped Daramyr Price. First born prince of Recocto.''
Bee looked confused, then relieved as a smile crept over his face,
''Oh...Then I guess I can take pride in that I guess...Hells he scares everyone in your family with just his name so...How's Ores doing?''
''One of each...boy named Otto and the girl is Hana...Both full moon elf like her but my eyes and hair colour...Come on. Should meet there uncle Bee now right?''
Steam started to leave the corner of the dwarfs eyes, rubbing them away and forcing himself to his feet, with Mathis helping now making his way to the room.
They arrived to the sounds of happiness and laughter. The royal siblings all making stupid faces at the wrappings in Orelia's arms. She saw the demon and smiled, looking drained but the happiest he had ever seen, now walking up to the bundles and seeing them for the first time. The complexion and bone structure of Orelia but the eyes and hair colouration of Mathis. Hana was sound asleep but Otto was wriggling around, bumping his tiny arm into his sister, waking her up and making all the others laugh before Bee spoke,
''Well...It seems he will take after his father after all...I expect a raise if you want babysitting.''
Still smiling as he took the small girl from Orelia, Mathis took Otto and hugged his wife, kissing her softly as they smiled into each other's eyes, only being broken by the coos of the baby.
The event was over as the False Heroes decided to spend another four months before again going out on their mission. In this time Mathis spent a lot of his time in Recocto helping Orelia with the children and his duties in the prison, to the prisoners dismay. Bee stayed in the sands and began training all the new recruits that were brought to action from far and wide by what most were calling 'The Bloody Battle and Fall of Regal Quillton. Last king of the sands.' and wanting to serve in this new empire. Matthew stayed with Bee the whole time as he felt it was his duty until his lord returned. Kyu spent most of his time helping build an underground sewer system for the town along with spending time with Baarias. She is expecting along with Gura. Wilt spent this time travelling to a land not far, using their ship to travel there and making his way back within three and a half months. The Heroes now one thing is certain though when they were all reunited, A False Heroes work was far from completion.
So the start of life has began and the gods of this world are making their bids, fools this is a rigged game… oh yes the new comer Daramyr, I believe I meet him in his youth along with the some of the others before my passing but as we look down on the clouded city and what lurks below it I cannot help but wonder. What the next step of these lands' story will be like… true that this tale has a somewhat happy ending but this is not the end. Just a stepping stone to the end but as I was saying. The evils raised and the curses lifted doesn't go unknownest or unchallenged. The servants of life do not accept transgressions, the 'heroes' will come to test their might, the lords and the one above them will take notice, even in these arid lands The power of our False Heroes will be tested. The step Shitto will gather strength and what will you do I wonder? Just wait around or something more than that...hm this is a reason you came here...you don't seem like the academic type to me….Though I'll just have to look into your stories one day. These are many wandering adventures that would surely enjoy such a tale but at this point it is not finished is it. Alas before we continue you always have questions so go right ahead now before I get annoyed at your constant interjection
