Angela and Shaun walked out to tremendous cheering. They were the two youngest in the tournament and had set it alight. Especially Shaun, it was just unfortunate that they had met at such an early stage.
Seeing Shaun, Angela frowned. Here he was again stealing her thunder and sharing the stage with her.
"I love you, Angela!" shouted one of her adoring fans. As for Shaun, he took his trophy and pointed to the Clortho crowd.
"This is for you!" he shouted, riling them in euphoria.
It was the proudest moment of their lives, and many had tearful eyes. How many decades have they been ridiculed to the point of feeling completely useless?
That's why Shaun did what he did. There was no deep affection for Clortho in his heart, but he knew how much this accomplishment meant to them. It's not often that anything good comes out of Elvers. The deaths and drugs that plagued the street were all reported news.
