Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Interview

Amabel's POV

The loud buzzing of my alarm woke me up. I groaned from the blazing sound scratching at my eardrums and lifted my arm to tap on the table next to the bed to silence the alarm. When I finally got the alarm to stop shouting, I realised that it's Thursday. That means, "My interview," I said and sat up straight in a flash.

Oh my gosh... I'm gonna be late. I rushed out of bed, but fell on the floor. "Ow," I moaned as I cooled myself off on the cold floor. I turned to lie on my back and noticed that I was still in my party dress. "Oh, shit!" Then it hit me...

I made out with a stranger. Correction: a very hot, sexy and delicious stranger. Well, technically we weren't strangers. I'm Amabel and he was - wait who was he? Does that count? "Shh," I hushed out loud trying to quiet my thoughts. The sunlight coming through the big windows that bothered and burned my eyes.

Slowly, I got up and walked to Gwen's room. I opened the door and fell on the other side of the bed next to Gwen and groaned. It was contagious. Gwen groaned too from the massive headache she felt and the fact that her stomach was playing the game Hi, I am the Earth. I can rotate constantly. "Don't breathe so loud, Bell," Gwen said and rubbed her forehead.

"I know. I have my interview today at precisely four. I can't stand having a huge hangover for the first time in my life. Holy crap! I finally know how the girls feel in the movies. And..."

"And, if you don't shut up right now, you won't make it to any other interview. Everr." That was my que to actually shut up. Before she kills me. Gwen is not that bad, just don't talk to her while she's sleeping...

We laid together and sighed. "How much did we drink last night?" Gwen asked, sitting up. I didn't move and for a moment I didn't say a word, nearly falling asleep again. "I don't know. That's the least we need to worry about. Number one: If your dad finds out we'll be living on the streets. Number two: What the hell happened to you? And number three: I made out with someone. And I don't remember who. Or at least I think I did. Last night is literally a blurrrr."

"You made out with someone? Wait, is it the guy you danced with?" Gwen asked super excitedly and then relaxed when the headache hit her like a hammer. Okay, good. She saw him too. That means it wasn't a dream.

"Yeah, that's the one. But I need to get rid of this fugly feeling. Or else, I might not make it 'till noon." I got up and went to my room saying, "I'm gonna take a shower... No wait, I'm gonna take a bath. If I don't get out in ten minutes, call the paramedics."

Gwen chuckled and stopped when she needed a visit to her bathroom as well. I drew myself a bath and got out of the dress and got in. My skin prickled at the touch of the bubbles and then I got the soft relaxing feeling of the warm water on my toes, then my feet and drowned in the heat with my entire body. I closed my eyes and then I saw him. I can still feel his hands roaming all over my body. Especially now, laying in the bath, feeling the bubbles kissing my neck and popping that makes me shiver, just like his breath against my neck would.

In the silence of the bathroom, I heard Gwen singing in the shower. Well, I guess she's feeling better. Then, I slipped under the water. We both washed our hair and got dressed. Gwen wore her light blue skinny jeans with her white sneakers and red spaghetti strap top. I stayed in my light blue robe and sat in front of the dresser as a few drops of water rolled down from my hair to my neck. The tickle reminded me of someone...

Gwen stood at the door and knocked. She smiled as she came into the room and said, "Bells, you need to get ready. Your interview is at three." I swifted the look from myself in the mirror, out of my day dreaming, to Gwen. "Wow, look at you! You dress to impress, almost if you're going for the interview."

Gwen showed her perfect body off and flapped her hair away from her neck. Then I did the same when we both began to laugh. That was how our friendship worked. Being dramatic together was our thing.

Gwen went to work with her father for a few hours. She said that she might be taking over as CEO of the CBRE Group and AECOM business in Los Angeles and BioOil, the world's biggest oil supply situated in Africa. Her father owns hundreds of restaurants and malls all over the globe. He is planning on buying businesses in fashion and beauty too, for his wife though.

I decided to wear a dress with simple flat shoes. I wore a simple black dress with white dots on them with a white belt around my ribs that had broad straps over my shoulder. The dress ended four inches above my knees. With that, I wore simple black flat pumps and to finish the look, I decided to let my hair down, took my phone and walked out the door.

I leaned back against it, trying to find courage to move away from the door and go to the interview. After a few minutes' drive in a cab, I arrived at the huge building with the WALKER CORPORATION logo in white and black in the middle. I felt like an ant looking up at a mountain, an ant that might work in a huge mountain. That scared me.
