The moon was shining brightly over the manicured lawns of the palace. The royal family each sat in order of their title at the old temple. The subjects sat on the ground, it was only the previous day that Landon had announced the changes he wanted and today they were having the first sacrifice.
Five men had been selected to be sacrificed to their new gods. No one knew what was going to take place in the ceremony. They were left in the dark to find out for themselves while the sacrifice went on.
