Sly made his arrival in the palace, his mother stood by the gates of the palace with the king ready to welcome him. She looked better than ever.
"Mother," he let out.
"Welcome home," his mother said and gave him a hug. "Ver me fa," he whispered to him.
Sly didn't reply to her. He just stood there and waited for her to pull back from the hug. His eyes met with his father's, the man didn't back down from the state.
"Ver me fa," his mother's words echoed in his ear. Meaning 'All is well' in mer-language.
"Shall we go in," his mother invited. The thought of the things that his father did while he was away irritated him but he was in a position to remain quite as his mother had said that all was well.
He took his mother's hand and walked into the palace with her. He didn't bother to greet the king or his second wife, he was tired and needed rest.
