"Hey, Rem, I just got some weird new ability."
she smiles at me happily, "What kind of ability?"
"It's called divine blessing of reverse prophecy." and I tell her what it does.
she frowns, "Can we start with how Emelia Died? I want to know if she suffered."
I nod.
She grabs my face and looks at me in the eyes. "Promise me you won't hide parts of the prophecy that I won't like."
I nod and say, "I promise." she nods, and then continues.
"let's find some place to rest."
-4 hours later, 10PM, in front of a cave near a small village-
We enter the cave and I notice that we aren't anywhere near anything that we can use to cover it.
"How are we gonna close this up?" I ask, as Rem starts to hold out her hands to the cave entrance.
"Create a frozen wall for my protection: El Huma!" "hide this construction of ice in plain sight as a stone wall illusion: Clarista."
She shrugs, "That was way easier than it used to be." she determinately nods, "let's do this!"
I Release the tent and futon from my inventory, and lie down. she lies down besides me and I grasp her hand, she squeezes my hand tightly and takes a deep breath. "Let's start," She says, and I concentrate.
-Emelia POV 6 months ago.-
I start running towards where I saw the thief run only to be accosted by some stupid bastard calling me Satella. What kind of asshole does that! Why would you name anyone Satella. That's like cursing someone to death for no reason. He starts rambling about a loot house and other things so I interrupt him. "I don't know who you think you are. But don't ever call me by the name of the witch of envy! what were you thinking?!" I glare hatefully at him. "I'll ask you one more time! Why did you call me that?!"
He looks confused. Like he did nothing wrong. "Because you said I should!" he exclaims, like that makes any sense at all. "I don't know who told you that, but they have a horrible sense of humor. Calling someone by that name is the very definition of taboo, If that's all, I have things to do! Leave me alone!" I storm off, even more angry and having lost the thief whos tole my emblem. If only is tuck with Rem, She could have grabbed that thief, and stopped her. I run off, and notice the asshole is still chasing me. I tune out his words. as I attempt to find this thief, I hear a sound of flesh tearing from the alley I just passed. I don't really care. But I'll send a guard to investigate after I get my Emblem back. I hear a clamor from it, "You killed him, I hear one thug say, "What are we gonna do the guards will kill us! we'll be executed! He even looks like a Kararagian noble! what's wrong with you!" the other one says as I drop out of hearing range even for my strong half-elven ears.
I spend an hour running after the stupid roof hopping girl who stole my emblem. The sun is starting to set, I kick down the door of this place she entered. I prepare to summon some ice spells and-
I feel a stab in my gut. I look down to see a long knife stabbed through my stomach. The last thing I hear before I die is, "Oh, I've never seen a half-elf's guts before. how, utterly arousing!" I don't even get to see the face of who killed me- I hope Rem is okay, maybe she'll find a good employer else where and then I fade and see a bright light and an old man staring sadly down at me.
"You've had it hard, haven't you- I'll give you a few wishes and a good life in a world not so horrible. But first, let's push out the spying people shall we.
-Zack POV-
I am pushed out of the Divine blessing of Reverse Prophecy, to see Rem sobbing besides me. "Thank you. Zack, I appreciate it. But for now, I think I'll take a rest." I hug her, and she smiles back at me.
"Thank you. At least I know she will be living a good life elsewhere."
