Leaving Mai and the others behind, I was going to the audience room where I first met Lilith… since it was still morning, she would be there alone probably… as I entered the room, I saw Lilith sitting on her throne...
"Finally! Why were you so late?" Lilith looked displeased. Since she was the overlord, I don't think she was kept waiting many times and I had also taken quite a while getting here...
"I am Sorry, I had relaxed a bit too much.." there was nothing else I could say.
"Hmm well at least you're not making up lies. But what's up? You look kinda weird..."
"N-nothing just ignore it…" I said as I fixed my hand on my neck.. Yeah I was hiding a hickey.. It was quite embarrassing but Lilith narrowed her eyes and looked at me skeptically. Since she was getting a bit bossy I started to change the subject. had she seen this thing, I sure as hell would get teased, and I don't think Lilith is the right person to show my weakness.
"Well I will leave on my mission today then."
"Yes I have prepared some papers so that you can enter Stein a bit more easily.. But let me tell you, you will have to think of a way to get in touch with the Royal family. I have no lead on that note."
"Say Lilith would you….. Hmm….."
"What is it…? If you want to say something, tell me. I like to hear the opinions of my underlings." since when did I become her underling?
"It feels like there's someone else here…. Ooh! Where are you running!" There was someone in the room hiding their presence. If not for my extreme sense developed by living at the Edge of the world, I would never have found it, I definitely would not have seen them.
As they started to run, I quickly captured them and dragged them using Miasma whips. I had developed these whips much more since the first time, now it could take Alice's explosions head on. They were more durable and easier to use like chains.
As the intruder was captured, who came out of the shadow was the lady knight who was Rose's Lord…! She had a wry smile on her face. Lilith on the other hand looked like she expected this.
"Rin, why are you spying on this conversation?" hearing Lilith's question Rin bowed promptly and apologized.
"Forgive me My liege but I wanted to see what your instructions would be… for Mr Rekka here… I wanted to send someone after him… I believe it would help him…" Rin said, while still bowing.
"Uh!... You could just have said that to me!" Lilith said to Rin telling her to get up….
"I am sorry My liege. I thought you would be reluctant to agree with me." Rin said with a thin smile.
"Well, even though he can handle things rather well, Rekka did grow up in isolation, so I worry too…." Lilith said.. I never knew Lilith thought like that. I mean everyone already knew that I could handle the stately affairs but still, they knew that I was still born in the wild, that had to eat away at their decision making…
"But it looked like Mr. Rekka can handle himself quite well…" Rin said, looking at me…
"Well that is amazing too, even though I didn't feel that you were there… How'd you even find her?" Lilith asked, looking at me surprised…
"Wild instincts? I guess? Well, if Miss Rin were to stay still and not run I am sure I wouldn't be able to catch her." I replied…
"You certainly can say that again.. I didn't have a second to run there…" Rin said, finishing her opinion..
"So then Rin. Since I agree with you that there should be at least 1 help, who do you want to send with Rekka…? don't think he needs any help regarding strength, a guide would be much more suited for him." Lilith asked with an opinion like that.
"Thank you My liege, I want to send Rose Wallenstein as Mr Rekka's Helper… he really has no need for raw power after all, so someone like her should fill in the gaps quite well. not to mention, Rose is acquainted with..."
"What? But doesn't she disagree with my plan? Or rather she believes I can't complete it. Will she come for this impossible mission?" I was surprised at the proposal… so even before Lird Rin could complete her comments, I interrupted her.
"Yes, she does strongly feel that way, but Mr. Rekka I believe if you take her, your plan should go easier." Rin said with conviction.
"Rin, are you suggesting this so that we can unite the country again….?" Lilith suddenly asked something incredible. What did she mean by uniting? I mean these two countries were going to war. Uniting is the last thing they would do!
But hearing Lilith, rather than showing a surprised face Rin showed a confident one.
"I have thought that My liege…" it looked like Lilith was right. Rin really did want the impossible. I have a feeling this mission might get a lot harder, if I want to establish a lasting connection with the Royal family, then I will have to approach them in another way completely. if hostilities came into play even in the slightest chance, then surely they can't trust me any longer, let alone make it viable for me to introduce Treastein's overlord to them.
"It will not be easy Rin…"
"I know My liege, but it isn't impossible either." Rin looked at me as if she believed that I had the capabilities to complete this task. I hardly knew this person, but she seems to have trust in me for some reason. is the blessing making this happen? no... it isn't that strong to even bend a person who I don't even know completely.
"Why do you think this time it will be different….? Even Master Merlin Couldn't fix this problem….I don't want to burden this problem on his grandson too… it will be too cruel of me!" It looked like there was some history behind this talk. Lilith was still disagreeing to Rin's words… Lilith just wanted to avoid the war with the best conditions…. but it was apparent that she wasn't gonna push onto me any hard tasks that would be impossible.
But Rin wanted to build the lost relationship there once was between these 2 nations…
"But.. My Liege, even killing all the nobles is a big task isn't it?" Rin asked Lilith with concern yet again.
"He could easily kill them! Rekka is strong But fixing relationships doesn't work that way." Lilith said brushing off Rin again, it looked like Rin wouldn't win this bout….
"I may not be able to fix your relationships but I will try to build a new connection to them to at least not be an enemy. Would that be enough Miss Rin?" I said to Rin. even though Rin didn't knew that I had the blessing of the goddess of Love, she already had an inkling about my capabilites in earning trust, then for sure, I can try this. blessings let one do things that shouldn't be possible after all, so if I really want this... yeah, I can do it.
as if hypnotizing myself with this thought, I brought out my confidence to the max, there can be many times where this war can come up and hinder our country, if I have this chance to make the change I have to think of the most optimal way possible, I am sure, with my knowledge.... I should be able to make it possible. the confidence rose even further as I fixed my thoughts.
"Yes! That would be just as good a result… We don't need to rush!" As if hearing me Rin had just found a life line she grabbed on to that point. I don't know if she actually believed me and knew what kind of resolve I already made up, but her confident gaze told me she had faith in me.
"Huh! Alright if you yourself want this responsibility I don't care, but if you can't get a new connection to them drop it. I don't want you to get in the politics between nations…." Lilith said that very clearly to me, it looked like she herself hated dirty politics… looking at her… I got the idea that she made me do tasks that clearly suited me… subjugating this war… I know for sure that with Lilith's sense… she knew I was enough to do that…
For a second there I realized why Lilith was the overlord… she knew what to use when and where… a leader who was perceptive enough to look out for even the smallest of details… not in the enemy… not but in her own forces...
"Yes, I will mainly focus on completing the Mission but Miss Rin, if there is even a ray of hope, I will build a steady connection with Stein." I said To Miss Rin, I don't know why but she looked like she was trying for this possibility betting on something precious…. And… even with Lilith's consideration… I wanted to see peace that was long achieved… not a short one… let's see what I could do once I get there.
"Thank you Mr. Rekka, you are Certainly responsible just like the 2 heroes…." Rin said as she sighed and gestured to someone to come in… it was Rose. while she came in, she looked as if she was in a difficult situation…
"Rose, you will accompany Mr. Rekka on his Mission… you will not hinder him and only be helping him when he asks for it. Don't disobey his decisions…. Do you understand me?" Rin ordered Rose like a knight commander.. Rose obediently nodded but I could still feel her hesitation… I didn't voice that since I got that Rin had given her this mission in such a way that Rose wasn't able to say no….
"Okay, I will take my Leave then…" I said to leave for Stein. I wasn't going to dilly dally anymore.. I only had 2 months to stop the war…. As I said so, Lilith looked at me and said.
"Aren't you going to see your Grandparents before you leave?"
"Hmm maybe I should meet granny on the way…. Gramps should be fine but oh well, I'll see them on the way…"
"Good luck, I know you will succeed." As I nodded to her and Rin, I left with Rose as we were going to the guest house of the castle… my grandparents should be there…
I heard that they had come by last night and saw our mess that we made at the drinking party….. Also they spotted me being with all the girls. I hope Gramps and Granny don't think less of me now….

As we left Lilith and Rin behind, I went to find Gramps and granny.
"Why don't we meet my grandparents first on the way…? What do you say, Rose? Do you have anything you need to do?"
"No, I am ready to leave at any moment. so I will accompany you." Rose said stoically… very different from last night. She looked rather reserved unlike last night when I could see her feelings practically pouring out of her. But I guess since she was alone and no girls were here, this might be how she usually acts around people… wow, girls really like to keep this emotionless façade huh..
So I went to meet my Gramps. as I went to them, I saw they were quite crowded with people.. Seeing Me Ossan cleared out the way for me to go meet Gramps and Granny.
"Wow you guys are busy.." I said As I waved at them….
"Ooh are you leaving so soon?" Gramps asked.
"Well yeah, we do need to tour the whole country." meeting nobles to know just kind of people they are, then looking into the royalty, it would take considerable time to investigate and then move into the plan.
"Yeah it will take a long while…. Just to travel around.." Gramps mumbled thinking about it a little.
"Well, I'll try to speed it up as much as I can…" I said as I smiled a bit…. normally people would feel scared sending their grandson to a enemy territory, but seeing that my grandparent's were actually acting quite normal, I felt relaxed. then again, they could simply be thinking there wasn't a soul that could kill me in Stein.
"Before that you better lose those restraints! When on a mission, training should be stopped!" Granny came out from the flock of people and looked like she just ignored all of them to come here… seeing her jump out of a horde of people completely disregarding them was kind of fun to watch. I guess they really were at the top of the food chain in human lands.
"OOh! So you can see them?" I asked Granny if she was talking about the Restraints that I had put on myself. It was to always push the body... These restraints made my body feel 100 fold heavier… I never stopped this after putting the gravity weight on me, since it helped me grow stronger in many ways… more over, if I pressured myself, the bodies base strength increased on it's own over time.
This body was an unusual one after all, no matter how much you add… it just grows to adapt to the pressure… kind of amazing since now I can hold this 100 fold even without enhancement. Although… it does take quite a lot… I can walk and go around freely but running is a no go. if I run with this kind of pressure, my speed would be just a little faster than normal people.
At First I could use 100 fold only while I used spirit energy to enhance my strength, but after training I realized that my base strength had dramatically increased. All those training seasons I had with Amanori using her Miasma was something that really helped the body grow strong.
"Of course I see it. I am your Granny aren't I?" Granny spoke with much pride…
"You sure are. Okay then maybe I should stop training in the meantime…" I replied to granny, by now she had come and already gave me a goodbye hug..
"What restraints are we talking about?" Asked Gramps since he was out of the magic talk loop… even he could sense mana, I used spirit energy and this spell was one of the void attribute, so hardly gramps who wasn't into magic could figure out.
"Well Gramps lets just say everything feels 100 times heavier than usual." hearing me gramps got excited.
"Ooh! That's a good way to train. Why don't you use that on me too?" said Gramps, so he wanted to try it?
"Okay, how about 10 fold….."
"Ho! It is like I am carrying a bolder…!" even though he said that he was moving like normal as if it didn't affect him in the slightest.
"Well I can see you can move just fine…" I said….
"Hmm you're right!"
As such talks went by and granny patted me and I got ready to leave…
"Did you say bye to the girls? After last night sucking you for dear life I thought they wouldn't let you go for sure." granny asked.. Although the whole crowd around us got flabbergasted hearing that, I had to remove my hand to show just what had been sucked… and here I was about to leave with some pride left in me... granny really did a critical hit on me...
"Oh…. that's quite embarrassing…" as gramps said, the spots didn't leave no matter how much I tried to heal it. The uncovered neck looked as if it was branded saying that it was already someone's property. not to mention there were marks of bites too. I hadn't realized till now but they really were bite marks... sigh... what are their doing in their sleep?
"High miss was saying something about getting pay back for the last time the two of you had spent the night." as Rose suddenly said so… now I see why Leila had worn such a heavy looking attire after the night our engagement was announced… I probably left a mark at a certain place… or rather places...
"She… doesn't look it, but Leila's quite the revenger…" as I said, I heaved a sigh…
"Ha ha… it's good to have feisty girls, life's a lot more interesting that way…"
"Hmm anyway, it's better if I don't wake them up. I am sure they wouldn't let me go alone.`` They were still young and they were itching to go around the world. it would be very difficult to make them understand it… as of right now, I only had Ridge with me, I had turned her into her mini-form and put her in my shirt pocket which was kinda made for her….
"Remember, it's a different country and take care of that lovely girl too. Since you're taking her, her life's responsibility is on you okay?" Gramps said while patting my back.
"Rose dear, do look after Rekka okay? He can be brash sometimes, so force him to take rests now and then. I will leave it to you." I think Granny already knew Rose because She was casually talking to her. Rose also looked quite pleased…. To think she could be this pleased to talk with my grandparents but be that cold towards me. Even while she told me about Leila's revenge… I couldn't help but see the scorn… man… she really hated me for getting in a relationship with Leila.
"Granny… did you guys… um… saw that… I mean…" as I stammered… I wanted to know if they really saw me getting sucked or bitten at the time… man that was embarrassing but if they didn't see it for real then I was still savable…
"Oh, we saw that." Granny said plainly…. It's pathetic to even think I was still savable.. Although my granny who didn't overreact at all on that, it made me think just what she thought could actually be embarrassing.
As such, I left the place feeling my image getting ruined… I guess it can't be helped.. .I really had let loose…. I think I will avoid alcohol… for real now… after all… curiosity has gotten me to this point...
