When I got to the dining table, I could see that Lilith was there with my grandparents and they were looking at me like I had sealed the deal…. I really don't know what to say at a time like this.
"Ohh! My grandson has become a man!" Granny said with a proud grin and dramatic movements. Were those real tears?!
"He is still young… although, I can't say that as a man he shouldn't respond to others feelings..." Gramps gave such serious monologues. Damn they were all getting the wrong Idea...
"Well I knew he was quick witted but I see you were much more grown up than I thought… still who knew my man hating daughter would end up with someone like you..." Lilith said with a wicked grin. I was sure she knew that I had already proposed to her daughter even before she sent the marriage proposal…
"I don't want to disappoint you guys but I didn't really go all the way….." I said, lifting my hands up in a surrender.
"What!!!" such yelps could be heard from all three of them…
"Hmm … you guys look more surprised than I thought…?"
"Well it was because I heard from Mia that you guys went nonstop all night….. And she said she even heard… noises…. Quite some noises..." I don't know how Lilith, the mother of her daughter, was saying such things with a straight face… didn't she have any shame? then again, my own Granny was cheerfully tearing up over thinking about my graduation.
"I can Assure you that both of us are pure… so loose that grin on your faces for now…" I explained to them that I wanted to have a more meaningful night, not something rushed…
"You fool, Leila is beautiful. What if some man comes to take her away….?" Lilith jokingly said that but I didn't like such jokes... more to that, even thinking that made my blood boil, I was afraid the cursed might even start acting up.
"Who even dares can come but I say this... He will be cursing himself to even get near my woman…. Besides, I already sent a dozen of them near hell's gate." I said with a chilly tone. I was serious… a man should always protect his women. That was one of the things most important to me… if you can't protect them there is no reason to go and earn yourself one. Not to mention, as jealous as I can be… I know for sure that I wouldn't take them lightly. even some of my aura leaked out.

sorry, I was a bit rattled, it seemed my possessiveness increased after last night.
My declaration seemed to make the room a bit quiet but then Granny asked something.
"Now that's a good threatening face. I have never really seen you make it but what will really happen?"
"I am the cursed sword wielder, did you forget?"
"Yeah I know that but what about when you will not be around?" Gramps seemed to think that way.. In truth, being the cursed sword wielder was as good as it was bad. Not all publicity was good publicity, going forward, I had to make some countermeasure to protect the people that were close to me. Even when I was absent, that is.
"There's an easy fix to that ….. Hmm well it is very hard to explain but the thing is, if Leila were to get attacked or tried to be kidnapped, the surrounding Miasma will track the attacker and put a curse on him that would slowly eat away his soul and in the meanwhile, his body would start melting inside out, yeah that is the curse… and of course I don't need to be around, I mean I can be on the edge of the world and do that… of course, if the one being cursed is able to fend it off, at the most his strength would get a debuff."
"Well that is certainly ruthless, your easy going vibe makes it hard to fathom really. your a scary one too eh?" Lilith said but she was satisfied with the explanation. It looks like Lilith just wanted to see what my reaction would be. She did give me her daughters so this was typical for a mother to test out her daughters suitors...
"So I pass?" I asked, looking at Lilith…
"Yeah, you pass, I like that attitude… never let anyone touch my daughter.... They are most precious to me… if I see them get sad you will get to know the meaning of Overlord, so be mindful!" It felt like she was ordering me and a faint pressure hit me. Was this some kind of her overlords power..? To me it feels as though I will have to do what she says…
"Come on Lilith. My grandson doesn't need anyone to order him. He has always tried to protect people when he sees them in need.. So it would be unthinkable to see him not protecting our new grand daughters…!" Granny vouched for me so the atmosphere settled down a bit. but hey it seemed that Gramps and Granny seemed to like that they could have 2 new grand daughters…
"I was just doing what a mother should do.." Lilith got easygoing too but it looks like I did see her overlords presence just a bit… It seemed that Lilith's strength should not be underestimated.
"What are you doing here? I thought you weren't going to come… so you sent the letter instead…." Said Leila as she finally came down, she looked prim and proper because she was wearing a mage outfit that looked like a Japanese kimono and it was crimson with some black art works, her long red hair complemented the Kimono so well…. Damn, she can really look different in different styles of clothes… but this was really covering her whole body.. I wonder why she was wearing such heavy clothes.. It wasn't that chilly..
"Ho ho, I see you are wearing what I suggested…. I guess I did the right thing fixing you guys…." Lilith seemed to tease Leila but before Leila could say anything, a strong and confident voice answered her back…
"That you did Mom! It was the best Idea there was, as expected. I never thought that I could be the granddaughter of the heroes and make their grandson into a prideful warrior at the same time!" As Alice looked over triumphantly, I wondered what she wanted to do so I could become prideful... she had appeared from the training fields, by the looks of it, she was working out hard.
"Well Alice, I didn't think I would hear that from you. I thought you would be like cats and dogs but I guess it is better this way?" I actually thought that too but now it was more like Alice was looking to get stronger and make me a bit more warrior like… I didn't really know what kind of warrior she was thinking of making me but I think that I was still a bit like a warrior. I mean I did like those types of manga and anime so why not? I had a warrior's heart too…
"That's right Alice, I can see that you have grown a lot since I left you and went to the wild… I am proud!" Gramps gave her praise and she seemed delighted by it… that girl really idolizes my grandparents huh! Well that is one place she can't be arrogant…
"Okay guys since we are all here, I would like to invite you to see something…" It was time to show them my new void spell. if I was going to do something drastic like this, I had to discuss this with people that are close to me…
"What is this Rekka?" gramps asked…
"Well you see, I developed a new spell….." I explained the lost dimension spell. It was a spell that made a space which was cut off from this dimension and made a subspace that had its own time pattern…. I had discovered from the system that if we get inside it, 24 hours in the real world would be the same as 1 year inside that space, at least that was the rough estimate. It could be more or less.… but the thing was, once we entered the space, it would close itself up and we would have to stay in that space for at least a month before the space could be opened again…. it wasn't really a problem because in the real world, it shouldn't even be an hour of time…..
So as I explained such details, Lilith and my Grandparents seemed to get in a daze….
"So um do you guys get it…? I want to train inside that place… for a day at least." I said to them again and finished my speech… then Lilith started talking.
"So you mean you will be inside there for 1 year and you will train the whole time…? I mean I know you stayed Isolated for many years, but do you really want to be Isolated again? isn't this a bit insane?"
That was true, I would be hard placed if that happened to me again but I know one thing, Alice wanted to go and train too. she got what I was saying. In the real world we couldn't do the training we wanted because of the damage it would do. Moreover, even if we got to a mountain it would soon get thrashed. The problems of our training were as follows. On the other hand, it would waste a lot of our time. Too much time. In this world time was valuable. I knew that more than anyone here, I did have to die 2 times and nearly die one time…
"But mom, I will be with him too, so It wouldn't be a problem, I can keep him sane!" Alice assured her mom but I thought that maybe I would have to take that job… as someone who had overcome isolation.. I knew how heavy it could be.
"Okay I see, but Rekka Dear, I can see that it would be a new space and break the laws of time but how can you stay there? I mean don't you need air and food and water to stay alive?" My granny put out the valid reasons but that space was made with void magic and it could create any element. Air wouldn't really be a problem, on the other hand, that space would be my property. It will work like I would want. I can even make the inside look like an open grassy field or cool as a north pool or hot as the sun. It could all be done by manipulating spirit energy that I had got quite good at… making that mansion was the right thing to do, my abilities increased a lot from a work like that.
"So basically we will have to bring food with us since no other living being will be there…. But I have already got that covered. I have so much meat, vegetables, fruits, rice, wheat and other stuff in my storage that I can last 10 years alone on a deserted Island…!" I said that with slight pride even if I got stranded to the edge of the world, I can easily make that journey again.
"I schemed a lot in my days but Rekka as my grandson, I am proud to say that you have surpassed me." Gramps seemed really weirded out saying that…. He really understood me! My gramps is the best!
"Rekka dear you don't have to be prepared like that, I mean, I don't think you will ever get stranded again you know?" Granny said with a painful look they sympathized with my early days but you should take lessons from everything life throws at you… as for me, I learned just how much food was capable of lifting one's will to live. I still remember the days I had to eat things worse than dirt.
"Well I will at least not have to think about you guys' well being…" Lilith seemed to let out a long Sigh… but I guess this would mean that We get the go card…..
"So then when are you guys gonna go in there?" Asked Gramps…
"Hmm, I was thinking of making some stuff and finishing my work on my mansion first. it would take at least a week I guess…" I replied… I wanted to finish this stuff as soon as I could and then to training, I was still thinking that maybe I should be in there for 3 years…. Since it would only be about 3 days worth in the real world, it would be real cheating but I don't think god would mind that much? Or rather it was all his doing for giving me the system…. Yeah lets just drop this one's responsibility on him
"Alice, are you sure? The time you stay there you will only grow older… and for a woman growing old is a taboo subject…" Lilith seemed to hit the rock. everyone of the Maids apart from Systy and my Granny even Leila seemed to nod at that… but Alice…
"I don't care how old I get. I even have a man now and I dare him to let me go if I grow old! or rather I think I would kill him! Also he clearly likes older girls so what's the problem getting old…. I could get some real good training by alluring him to train with me. Gramps did suggest that…"
I don't know what to say. I was happy that she said that I wouldn't let her go but on the other hand I heard that If I did let her go she would kill me! And then she even said she would use my weakness of older women to entice me into training….? It seemed that she really got my reputation to the lowest even when she tried to praise me.
Alice, I don't really know what you would do in the future but I can't let her strength surpass me for sure. If that happens, I will be dead for sure…!

and there's a another taking a shot at me too. my life really is hanging on a tight thread?!
"Well that was… a powerful statement? I guess I really don't have to worry about you guys…. Then excuse me, I will see you guys soon.. Rekka grow as strong as you can, I want to see my daughters with the strongest man alive." Lilith was a busy person so she left after our chat, not before giving her daughters some advice about this fiancé stuff ooh and our engagement party was going to be next month. The date was fixed and it would happen in the capital.
I even heard some big figures are going to come too… the engagement news would be delivered to the people in a week too, it seemed that giving people such news about overlords was important…. This would bring a celebration for citizens as they clearly revered the overlord. I think that some would disagree with this decision even if I was the hero's grandson, I still wasn't renowned much but Lilith said something else..
"Don't worry about that, I heard some good news about you on the way. People say that the heroes grandson is kind and intelligent and even strong like the heroes. People are even saying that you can succeed the overlord.. As you have vanquished one of the lord's corruption already, they have much faith in you…" When did all this even happen? I mean it shouldn't even be a month since I took down the behemoth. if talks like these were going around, no wonder the people in town seemed to give respect to me. The adventurers even came to me sometimes seeking much advice and such….
They said that they wanted to learn how I could be so charismatic… boy, those guys were looking at a kid you know? And I guess that I really did get that corrupt lord's son. even though the lord got his seat stolen… well it was more like he was pushed off of that seat… I wonder who the lord is right now…
"Okay then, I'll see you soon… and Lilith, I will protect you daughters with my life." I gave her an assuring speech. She looked happy hearing that and nodded then left….
She liked my mansion too. She said it looked different and she could get used to this kind of design.. Although it was far from finished.
