After all the matters with the behemoth extermination was over, it was already more than half a month, everyone got their rewards and sang happily on the streets. I never thought that the reward was gonna be this much that some of the adventures would even go and get married. It seemed that a single behemoth extermination had a long way to provide for many. maybe when winter comes there would be many newborns too.
Today I was in the guild. my Gramps came with me. This time they were going to reward me for the behemoth killing. Since the value of the whole behemoth was already large. I told the guild to just give me the value for it's bounty. The other stuff would be given to the adventurers and the city repairs.
"Okay then Rekka, you said you wanted a land." Leila seemed to remember my request: I did want a land.
"What would you do with that?" Gramps got surprised, so people would be hard pressed to know what a kid would do with a land and since the prize was already big, I could buy a small mansion easily but if I just wanted a land, I could buy a bigger land too.
"I want to build a house." I said nonchalantly, I mean I had already figured out how to make all types of rocks with earth magic and my fine tuning was in great shape too after all the practice. In the past month after researching over construction and other ways to make buildings, my preparations had reached the final phase.
"What? Do you want to leave us already? but you are barely an adult?!" Gramps panicked a little. Or maybe not a little… his temple got sweaty all of a sudden.
"Don't worry, it won't be a big change…. Leila, I want this land and the whole area around it. I can see that it's already barren, so nobody really has any business around it."
"What! It's huge. Why'd you need so much land?" Leila got surprised this time, but Gramps panic faded because I asked for the land Beside our mansion. The whole area was wide as a big sports stadium. for some reason it was completely barren, the whole ground was dead.
"I want to build a house." I repeated again to Leila. she realized that I was not joking. Gramps seemed to realize that this was one of the things I really wanted to do. In our journey, I had done many weird things. I had even made a car, although it was only a wooden carriage but it worked great in our travels with grandma's magic.
"Hmm…. if you really are serious, then…. Hmm let me see…. I think we can manage it with your reward but you have to give tax and other fees while buying….. So are you really going to buy this whole land… I can get you a much better land. You know it would be a little smaller but it would look better than this place."
Was she challenging my work capabilities… pretty soon it was gonna become a prime real estate you know?
"I tell you what? by the time I am done with this place, the whole country would be flabbergasted…." I said it with confidence overflowing. Creating something took time and hard work. The will to patiently go at it for a long amount of time and finally build it… yeah… I really like the feel of it.
"When you say that with that look…. I fear that truly could be the case…." said Leila with a wry smile. what is with that expression? as if she is saying what can she do with me?
"I wouldn't be surprised if you even attracted the dwarfs." Gramps seemed to sigh but he accepted my proposal.
"Thanks very much, Gramps!" I said with a smile. They were such good grandparents, I could literally do whatever I wanted and I can even live in a house full of hot maids. I mean come on, this was everyman's living dream. I don't know how to thank them enough.
"Ooh ! it's nothing, you're my grandson, if you want, I can prepare the materials you would need too. what would you say?" Gramps offered looking very happy too.
"Ooh that's not needed, I already got everything I need and the other things I would need I could just make it"
"Ooh, I should have known, you are very collective in cases like these." Gramps heaved a sigh as if nothing could get past me. Well… if we are planning to make something, it is normal to already gather all the materials you need.
"Well I never really could guess what Rekka would do next.." Leila looked really pleased. After I had proposed to her, of course I told my Gramps and Granny about it.
They were shocked that I could do such a thing under their noses. I heard from Granny that Leila was someone who always ignored men. She was just too smart or I guess the men in this world are a little dumb or just too serious like Ossan. Leila, who had grown up to form her own ideals, didn't find herself compatible with any men I guess…
Although she felt that I would not hinder her future in any way, she didn't deny my proposal, it may sound a bit businesslike but every time she tries to show her thoughts of calculations for accepting my proposal, her face gets red and her head clearly overheats. No matter how she puts it, she did actually have concrete feelings for me… it's still a mystery to me as to how Leila really came to have these feelings for me. As a matter of fact, unlike me who fell for her the first time I laid my eyes on her, she had gradually gotten closer to me. At Least that's what she said in a flustered mess once we were on a date.
One thing that really made me chuckle though was that Leila had no way to think up what my next step would be, my 21st century antics confused her to no end. Well I did like the fact that I was someone she considered for the first time.
More than ever, the thing that made her want to be with me was my weirdness.. A man who is strong and good at cooking, looks and treats everyone the same way be it a girl or a boy… to Leila I was something like a prince from a fairytale. But the way she described it… I am not sure if I really am that saintly… even now I was thinking more than enough perverted thoughts about her. Recently we were able to hangout at our place, although we only chatted and had a light skin ship such as hand holding… The experience was more than satisfying.

So after our paper work was done, I went to the land. It was truly a big mass of land. This time my personal maid Mai and her crew came with me and someone odd was here too. It was Alice. for some reason she had started following me. She was one step away from stalker hood, I should talk to her and loosen things up so she doesn't go down that road. Although I am glad that she left me alone when I was with Leila.
After the grand feast, she had already mellowed a bit so it shouldn't be that hard? I had also started greeting her now and then since we were living under the same roof, formalities should be maintained.
"Alice, you can come here too you know…. I would feel bad if I made you stay under the sun."
"Don't take Pity on me you fool!" Well she still didn't stop her bad mouthing but something did change, every time she bad mouthed me she took a run for it as if she had just embarrassed herself, well kids do that to avoid awkward situations. As she took a run after shouting at me, I promptly got in front of her.
"I know that I may be a fool.." I knew that there had to be some reason that she called me a fool, thus why I accepted her words of insult. I mean I just bought a dump with money… this whole city is calling the one who bought this land a fool and stupid. Well, if they knew I bought it they would of course not talk like that anymore. But now that nobody knows… well lets just say everyone's unfiltered opinion was quite harsh.
"What?...." Alice on the other hand looked confused at my sudden remark. But the awkwardness was gone so I tried again.
"I mean I bought a deadbeat land as my reward. I know you would call me a fool but tell you what.." I acted as if I was pathetic.
Hearing me she got a smirk on her face, I guess she took the bait. I wanted to be friends with her. She was strong of course but she was Lilith's daughter too, for whatever reason I felt as if Lilith would want this to happen. Not to mention...I kind of felt that Alice had grown up after our duel… her hateful gaze was gone, she was polite with the maids too now… since the maids took care of her after she was beaten, that could make sense in this case.. It truly shows that she is one to remember one's help and going forward she won't hesitate to help them back.
"Yeah that's right, only a fool would buy this land geez! but I guess it was praiseworthy of you to understand that on your own." wow her tone sure did change. Is this some kind of tsundere thing I read about so much? That haughtiness though, it feels really natural coming from her now that I have known her for a few weeks.
"Tell you what, there is a word called restoration. I will demonstrate what that entails in this land here. If you wanna see the end result please be my guest. I would love to see the faces of everyone once it's done."
After she heard me she looked towards Gramps who was behind me. I pretended to not see that. Then she nodded.
"It seems there is at least something you can be arrogant at… it is rather pathetic… but at least there is something... then what would you do if you could not change my mind?"
Why would this be pathetic?
"Oh! So you're challenging me huh! How brave of you, I don't think anyone but you can challenge me so daringly…. Okay then, tell you what, if you think it's not good enough, I will do anything for you ...."
"Wha wha what!!! Anything... what do you mean?"
"I mean anything you can think about, I will do it. even if you want me to go back to the wild where I came from, you will never have to see me again….." on my declaration, Alice seemed to realize that the bet was serious and she faltered a bit. I said that because I wanted to see what her reaction would be. it was as predicted she didn't really want me to leave. I read in a battle manga that strong people tend to get pulled together for various reasons. Sometimes fist can do more than talking.
"But If you win?"
"I will do the same. I will ask one thing of you and remember I don't show pity…. I never did or else I wouldn't be here right now…." Alice did look cautious of me but she also moved for the bet. if anything, risking her life with me made her even more determined, altough I don't think I would tell her to do somthing deadly...?

We did a handshake as the bet began, Amanori and her delusions! With Alice, I moved to a corner of the land. I had made a temporary shelter here for resting while working. The Maids insisted that they would be here while I made this place. Also per Mai's order, I had to make a work schedule so that I wouldn't strain myself too much. I did get too into my work sometimes and forget about everything.
So that's how I started building something unusual again, it would spread my name even more and this time it wouldn't stop at our countries border, it would travel even further. Well that's in the future….
As I moved to the center of the land, I built a big wall surrounding the whole border of the land.

Ohhhhhhh! Man this is a lot.....
The whole spirit energy was released from the Systems seal and it felt like a whole dam had broken off on my body. The pressure was just that much but if I want to reform this whole land and deep deep within it, I had to use all the spirit energy I could, so the whole of it would reform together. Saving time is the essence here. This ground that was barren was gonna become the most healthy earth in this region.
I could see that my body had buffed up a bit and sparks were going all around. The pressure even spread all around me but thanks to my controlling nature, I think everyone should be alright if they stay away from me.

As I spread my spirit energy all around the place, just follow it with your Miasma. I hate to say it but I can't really use both of these energies together in this huge quantity, at least not now, I am still weak.

I started to work after that without getting concerned about anything in the world.
I know that I can't stop doing something once I want to do it, that was just how I was. An idea that came in a flash can get me to do it in a flash too. It may be my weakness as the fickle nature of mine would dictate quite a lot of time I had… but just who was perfect in this world? At least I was not.
