"Elaine!" Charles yelled upset with her disrespect in front of Wesley. She normally had enough manners to leave the insults out when they were in front of guests.
"What Charles? He's family. He'll learn soon enough how this family truly is and why we interact this way or is he another person you've lied to just like Sarah?" Elaine questioned becoming just as upset as Charles if not more. Every day something else was added to his mess. "I am not blind to see you plan to have Wesley as your successor. Be honest rather than continuing to lie."
"I don't have to explain anything to you," Charles replied, bringing down his tone a bit. He didn't want to yell at Elaine. He didn't like the feeling. Contrary to what Elaine thought, he did love her. He just wasn't good at expressing it in his opinion.
