Xavier closed his eyes again because the news of his brother did not surprise him. "It was obvious we would get rid of my father first. Wesley has always been watching and waiting with his own plans. He knows there are a handful of people who wouldn't want me to take my father's place and they think they can control him because of the weak persona he shows them."
Xavier was tempted to let his younger brother fool the idiots who thought they could use him. It didn't matter if Wesley tried to officially name himself a prince or king and tried to rule over vampires. A title didn't mean anything in Xavier's eyes when he wanted to kill someone. He had no problem attempting to kill his own father.
"Why are you so calm about it?" Questioned Abigail. He didn't even show a hint of annoyance. Wesley had portrayed being a loyal and dutiful son in front of Charles but the death of his father did nothing to him. He was already looking to take the position his father had.
