Two days later, Jennifer stood in her room examining the outfit she chose to wear to her date with Kevin. She had spent the majority of yesterday secretly moving a few of her things to Helen's apartment while her mother was away and now, the date with Kevin would be her break.
Jennifer had not seen nor heard from Jack in the past two days. Her father had not returned home either and it was only through her mother's lack of worry did she assume everything was fine. She was glad for the date because it would take her mind off worrying about Jack when there was nothing she could do to help him right now. She could barely help herself.
