Chapter 59 - Trial date

Although Mai wasn't really the type of person to watch or read these movies with gangsters in, it didn't take much to know that a black high end car driving through Simple Village wasn't something ordinary people did. 

Perhaps she was just grasping at straws, but she was starting to put everything together. Countless times, Mai had seen the way Chris walked home. If they were to leave school it was in the completely opposite direction that Mai would head. Which was why it made no sense for Chris to walk the way he did unless he wanted to take a walk by going in a giant circle.

'Was what Shirley said true? Oh no, could it be that Chris has already joined that gang. Is it too late to do anything about it?' Mai worried. However, thinking back to how Chris had behaved at their little get together, he had been so sweet, kind, and such a respectful person.
