As soon as school had ended, Simon immediately left his classroom and went on over to head to Mai's instead. Regardless of whether she now had a new boy, she was into, he had to be there for her when she needed him. So he would continue being the nice guy that would always be there for her.
'Even if she eventually goes out with one of them, they're going to break her heart at one point. Then I can be like one of the Humpty Dumpty knights. That's there to put all the pieces back together again.' Simon thought as he creepily laughed inwardly.
Either way, he wasn't going to stop doing things he did before. He regularly would meet up with Mai after school before all this Chris stuff started happening.
When he slid the door open, it was filled with a room of students getting ready to go home, but there was no Mai there.
