The reason why Mai had left the classroom as soon as the bell had rung, was because she had already arranged to meet up with Even during their lunch break. The good thing was the lunch break at their school lasted a whole hour, so there was plenty of time for the two of them to talk.
Heading outside to the play area, there was a nice bench and green grass where students could eat the lunches they had brought in from home. That's where she could see Even patiently waiting for her on the bench.
'Every time I see this kid, I can't believe he and the detective are the same person. I guess he grows up into a kind of cool person when he's older.' She thought as she went to sit down by his side.
"So, did you manage to go to the future? Did you change things, or are you still locked up in a cell because of me?" Even asked.
