As there is only a month for the preparations everyone in the both the families were busy. I have to handle both office and home. But as I have to leave for France, I wasn't given any new assignment I was just busy in wrapping up the old ones before I leave for my training. So the work load was not too much... and I was getting enough time to handle the things at home.
Mom and Dad were busy preparing the list of the guests. Everyday they finalise it and next day some new names were again added in the list. It took them one whole week to prepare the final list. As it's the first wedding of our family they were very nervous but at the same time excited also... they don't want to leave or miss anything.... They wanted to give the best wedding to Haani.
Aarzam's mother and my mom started purchasing gifts for the guests who are coming to attend the party. Ezaan was working as a chauffeur for the two ladies. Everyday he had to follow them to all the markets and then had to carry their shopping bags also.
Both the families decided to book the biggest resort of the city for all the functions of the wedding. It will take almost a week to wrap up the whole wedding from bachelor's party, bridal shower, Haldi ceremony, mehndi, dholki, Nikah to walima...
Preparations were on full swing... Aarzam and Haani were busy in their own shopping. They have been given the responsibility of selection and printing of invitation cards.
I took the responsibility of decoration and other arrangements of the venue. Yahaan was with me to help me handle the things. Because of his contacts work was reduced a lot.
It was weekend, Haani came to me in the morning...
"Sis... I want you to come with me today.... I have an appointment with the designer for my bridal dress..." she informed me...
"But today I have to meet the decorator regarding the flower arrangement" I told her my schedule.
"At what time you have your appointment...?? I have mine at one in the afternoon..." she said.
"Let me ask Yahaan... he knew about it..." I took my phone and called him.
"Yahaan.. what are you doing...? I want to ask something..."
"Go ahead... "
"When do we have to meet the decorator..? Haani wants me to go with her for her dress selection..." I asked.
"Its at 4 in the evening... "
"Ok then there won't be any problem I will go with Haani and then I will join you to meet the decorator..." I finalise the schedule.
"All right, send me your location I will pick you up from the store..." he said and then hang up the phone.
Aarzam picked us up from our home. Haani took me to the shelf with bridal collection. Dresses were good but Haani wanted to have something different. So we talk to the designer to custom made her dress according to our need. Aarzam was not interested in these stuff so he was reading some fashion magazine.
"Aarzam.. please help me in selection of colours you know I don't want to go for traditional red or pink..." Haani called Aarzam to give his opinion.
"Haani... I am really sorry I can't help you in this... you can choose any... you look good in everything you wear..." he try to save himself.
"So why did you come... " she got irritated.
"Haani dear, why are you getting worried... let me help you..." Yahaan came to the store.
"Why you came so early... ?"I looked at my watch and asked.
"I thought you guys would need me..."
"You are right on time bro... please help me choose colour for me bridal dress... Aarzam is good for nothing..." Haani invited him.
"Why not... Try to choose some pastel colours..." he suggested.
"Good suggestion.." she like the suggestion and we decided for pastel green and pink colour with dull golden work. We discuss the details of the dress with the designer to finalise it. Haani was very happy.
"Thanks bro... you are the best.." she gave thumbs up to Yahaan.
"Why are you not selecting anything for yourself...?" he asked.
"This store is for bridal collection... for your kind information..." I said.
"Who said... let me ask" he went to the counter and came back with a sales girl.
"Ma'am come with me we have collections for every occasion.." she said to me.
I followed her, he came with me and selected few dresses.
"Go and try.." he gave me all the dresses.
"They are so many...I'll be very tired... I am not going" I said.
"Ok then I will ask her to pack all of these..." he warned me..
"All right I will try only these... I selected few from them and went inside the trial room. I showed him after wearing but he wasn't satisfied.
"I am not going to try anymore...' I got annoyed. He left me there and again went to the sales girl and said something. She took him to another shelf and then after some time he came back with two dresses one of pastel blue colour and other was of peach and grey colour. Both the dresses were very beautiful and elegant. One can see admiration in my eyes I appreciated his taste in my heart.
"These are the last ones... go and try"
I took them and tried the one in pastel blue colour... I looked myself into the mirror the dress looks amazing. I came out and everyone look at me with admiration. The dress fits me perfectly.
"Ma'am this dress looks great on you... even the fitting is perfect.." Salesgirl appreciated me.
"Yes sis... Yahaan's taste is so good... Aarzam learn something from him... see he chose such a beautiful dress for sis..." Haani said.
He looked at me with admiration and then said.
"Perfect... go and try other one as well..."
I came out wearing the another dress and this one was much more beautiful than the first one. Haani was regretting for not seeing these dresses earlier.
"Please pack both the dresses..." Yahaan said to the Salesgirl.
salesgirl brought those dresses at the counter. At that moment Aaira and Zayden enters the store.
"Zayden... see these dresses are so beautiful.... Can I have look" Aaira asked the sales girl.
"Ma'am these are already sold, can you please check something else from our collection..." she informed.
"But, I like these more... don't you have another piece in my size..." Aaira said.
"Sorry ma'am these are from our limited edition collection only one of each type.. you can look for others. let me help you.."
"Zayden, I like these only... can you please ask those customers to choose something else..." she said to the sales girl..
Zumar and Yahaan came to the counter arguing with each other.
"Yahaan although these are beautiful but are quite heavy... I can't handle these and I didn't even check the price.." I said to him.
"But the payment is already done and sold goods can't be returned... Isn't it" he said and then looked at the counter girl.
"Yes ma'am... payment is already done..."
"Hello Yahaan... what a coincidence..what are you doing here?" Aaira said
"We came for shopping..." he replied.
"Hello... Zumar... What a coincidence..." Zayden greeted me.
"Hello..." I gave a short reply
"Why you all are here..." he asked me again.
"It's Haani's wedding and I brought my girlfriend to choose some dresses..." Yahaan gave the reply for me...
"Zumar if you don't like these dresses Can I have them, I will return the payment..." Aaira asked me. Before I say anything Yahaan said
"Sorry to disappoint you cousin... but we have already done the payment and we are not changing our mind..."
"But I am not taking these..." I said stubbornly.
"Who ask you to take... I am purchasing it for my bride...come out fast we are getting late for the appointment" he said and then hold my hand.
"Haani we are leaving.." he informed Haani and Aarzam.
We left the store but I could feel Zayden's intense gaze behind my back. I don't understand why Yahaan try to show off so much infront of Zayden. Sometimes I just can't understand him the way he treats me.
