Zayden reached home, Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim were sitting in the living room. Since the day Zayden took charge of his business he rarely goes to the office because of his health issues.
"How's your day son...you are quite busy these days... do take care of your health.." he asked
"It was fine dad... just busy dealing with collaboration with some foreign companies..." they started to talk about some business matters.
"It's good to expand your business... but still you spare some time for yourself..." he advised him.
"Zayden I agree with your dad... take some time to relax, spend some time with Aaira... you both are now engaged... develop some understanding with her..."
"Ok Mom... " he agreed to let her not insist him too much.
"My son is so good... go and washup and then come for dinner... we are waiting for you..." she said.
he came down for the dinner and saw a decorated basket of fruits and sweets with an invitation card attached to it.
"What's this Mom.. who send this..."
"Oh I just forget to inform you about Haani's wedding.... Today Mr and Mrs. Aafandi came in the evening... to invite us for the wedding.." she informed.
"Zayden please spare some time from your schedule as they have lot of functions and they insist all of us to attend that... infact she ask me to stay there for a whole week .."
"Ok Mom... let me check my schedule and then only I can say anything..."
"Inform Aaira as well so that she can prepare in advance... Feriha invited her also... she will be your partner..."
"All right..." he agreed to avoid all her nagging.
He finished his dinner and went to his room and lie down on his bed. He recalled the event from the wedding dress store. He really hate the way Zumar ignored him. He realised how comfortable she was with Yahaan and the way Yahaan care for her and protect her. He remember the days when they used to spend time together talking about their dreams and wishes, sharing everything about each other. Those were the most beautiful moments of his life...
He try to sleep but failed to do so... Atlast he got up and went to his study and searched something on the shelf where he find his old photo album. There were many photos of them when they had gone for camping, he stops at the photo of her watching sunrise... he took that photo secretly when she was praying... he was so attracted to her at that moment that he took that photo without her knowledge.... he stroked the photo with her fingers and took a deep sigh... He finally closed the album and came out in the balcony and started smoking. Sleep was nowhere... he sat on the chair and closed his eyes...
Next day he reached office and asked his secretary to clear his schedule for the wedding dates, then he called Aaira...
"Hello... Zayden... why did you call..?" she asked.
"It's my Mom... she asked to inform you to attend the Wedding ceremony of Zumar's sister.." he informed her.
"All right... send me the dates so that I can manage my schedule accordingly.."
"All right then.. I am hanging up..."
"Wait... Zayden.. do you have time in the evening... Let's go out for dinner..." she asked.
"Ok... decide the place of your choice I'll come to pick you up..." he agreed.
On the other side... Zumar look for the time in her watch. It's 3 in the evening, she had meeting with the client so she left the office.
"Yahaan... I am going out to discuss some thing with the client... I don't know what he wants at the last moment... so don't wait for me in the evening .. I'll leave from there only.."
"I'll pick you up.. send me your location..." he said.
"No need... I have my car..." she showed him her keys...
"All right but still send me your location... what if someone kidnaps you..." he said.
"All right... I am leaving..."
She reached the restaurant where the meeting is arranged. It was one the best restaurants of the city. She saw the client already waiting for her. She smiled and took her seat and then started discussing the project with him... they discussed for sometime and after settling down everything there meeting ends. She was about to leave the place when Aani, Aarzam and Ezaan came....
"What you guys are doing here...?" she asked surprisingly.
"We don't know either... Yahaan called us to come here..." Aani said.
"But I came her alone to meet the client... I don't know where he is...?"
We were discussing the things when he came with a cake and a bouquet in his hands.
"Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday dear Zumar..."
"What's all this Yahaan... My birthday is day after tomorrow I think?" I was very excited with the surprise..
"I know sweetheart... but I want to celebrate in advance as I won't be there for your birthday" he said.
"Why... where are you going..?" I asked.
"Dad called me... so I am going out of the country" he informed " and I don't want to miss your birthday my girl" he rubbed my hairs.
"Thanks a lot Yahaan... you know me the best..." I was so happy that I started crying.
"Why are you crying... you fool.." He hugged me tightly and gave me kiss on my forehead. At that instant I saw Zayden looking at me with his intense gaze. I don't know when he came. Soon Ezaan saw him and went towards him to greet.
"Hello Bro... what a coincidence...you are also here for dinner..?" he asked.
"Yes, I came here with Aaira..."
"Why don't you join us... it's Birthday celebration for sis..." he invited them.
"Happy Birthday Zumar... sorry we didn't know anything about it... we haven't brought any present... " Aaira wished me.
"Happy Birthday Zumar..." it's Zayden.
"Thanks to both of you...no need to bother about gift. It's just a surprise from Yahaan and my family and actually it's just a pre- birthday celebration. My birthday is day after tomorrow..." I informed them.
"So why are you celebrating it today...?" Aaira asked.
"It's nothing, Yahaan won't be available day after tomorrow so he gave me this surprising..." I told her.
"Zayden... I think you both were once very good friends... you didn't even remember her birthday..." Yahaan commented.
"I just got confused..." Zayden said as he try to ignore me. He was quite uncomfortable.
"I understand... it's quite a long time ago... Anyway Zumar... you are mine now.. I'll never miss your birthday..." he said to provoke Zayden and hugged me once again.
"Yahaan..." I pinch him.
"Let's order..." Haani saw the situation and changed the topic.
"Yes let's order... it's my treat. Order whatever you want..." Yahaan said.
Everyone ordered their food and we started eating.
"Zumar you and Zayden were childhood friends... how was he back then... Tell me something about him" Aaira asked me.
"He was an all rounder student perfect in academics and sports as well... everyone likes him.." I said and he looked at me.
"What about girls... did he have any girlfriend in school...?" she wants to know every detail of his school life.
"He was school hunk so there were lot of fan girls but I don't know anything about his girlfriend we were not that close to share everything..."
"Eat more dear... see I ordered all your favourite dishes..." Yahaan gave me some food..
"Yahaan... You both looks great with each other... when are you planning to get married..." Aaira asked.
"I want it to happen now but, the problem is she is leaving for France so I have to wait some more..." he said the lie so fluently that I just kept looking at him.I pinched him again...
He looked at me and smiled... Zayden also looked at me at that moment.
" Zayden Bro... why aren't you eating anything... " Ezaan looked at him struggling with his fork and there was no food in his plate.
"If you don't like these we can order something else..." Ezaan asked.
"No thanks... I am not hungry.." He said.
"Mr. Zayden.. If I am not wrong, you're here for dinner.." Yahaan said.
"I am just tired and I don't feel like eating anything...if you are done let's leave" he said to Aaira and got up from his seat. His mood was ruined.
"We are really sorry... we disturbed your date with your fiancee... we were not considerate enough... sorry Aaira... we just invited you as you and Zumar were friends once... I didn't know she is not so important" Yahaan opologised.
"It's not like that... he must be tired" Aaira try to explain.
"It's ok... take care of him..." Yahaan said to Aaira and she left with Zayden.
"Why you always try to provoke him..." I said to Yahaan.
"I told you already... it's simple I don't like this guy..." he said carelessly and smiled at me.
