"I'm happy as long as you're happy," Brandon says confidently and his voice rings through the empty air of the field. He yips, clasping his hand over his mouth bashfully, not having intended to yell it out. Mizuki straightens her back, taken aback by the statement, watching as Brandon curls up, a little panicked.
For a brief second, she sees red hair instead of Brandon's dark teal and clothes just like the ones Hinata wore that morning. She shakes her head and like a snap, when she opens her eye again, it's Brandon in front of her.
Mizuki crumples the flower stalk in her hand.
"Where did you learn to be so caring? In a world so harsh, I could not imagine surviving with a personality like yours. I think… you're the kindest person I've met since I got here. Not mentioning, uhm… the generosity I got from certain… other people," she smiles, folding her legs. Brandon sits up properly, mimicking her position as he rocks back and forth in thought.
