Chapter 29 - Selection

It was at the middle of a night. A mock battle between all the students that were randomly picked. A total of a hundred candidates will be picked and will be declared as victor. And then they'll be split up into twenty groups for the Elemental War to be distributed into other locations of the world. They'll be accompanied by a single professor.

The factions on the mock battle were as such. The red team versus the blue team. There's three ways of victory conditions that they have to take.

The first one is making everyone on the opposing side of the winner's team be unable to fight or is forced to surrender in a way. Killing is prohibited, but knocking everyone unconscious or making them incapable in a fight in a non-lethal way also counts.

The second is knocking down the opponent's castle by their spells. There's two castles on the battlefield. One for each team. This is where their main base is at and the very core of the both teams. Once it gets destroyed, the team that still has their castle standing is the winner.

The third winning condition is holding on at the orb that's stationed at the very middle of the battlefield for a span of 10 minutes.

The ball at the very middle is called the Orb of Ownership. It hovers above the owner's head and illuminates their whole body with an orange aura.

The team that holds the ball for 10 minutes will be declared as the winner.

The battlefield is far outskirts. Over 20 professors gathered up and began to channel a spell for the whole entire arena they're going to fight in.

The whole arena is about 500 meters wide and five kilometers in the length. Its a one lane and one way battle on a head to head match between the two factions.

The castles spawned in and there was a bunch of barriers that were protecting it.

Both teams changed and dyed their uniforms according to their colors and got ready in their zones.

Schaffer and Argus were watching both teams in the sky with their magic. "Illuminate!" A bright white light pierced the skies as Schaffer cast his spell.

The war begins.
