A little girl who looks about 14 greeted us after we entered. Despite being young, she's a cutie with blonde hair and blue eyes like me.
I smiled as a reply and went to the chase.
「We're here to stay for two days, is that alright? A room for two people.」

The inn keeper and a crowd of people barged in to the room by knocking our room's door open. Seeing my position, beside a girl and silencing her with my hand, there became a misunderstanding.
「Th-This is... guards, seize this man!」

Before I could put on a resistance, ten people came hurrying to me and grabbed me on either the arms, chest, hands and legs then tried to take me out of the room. But just then...
「W-Wait! That's my companion!」
Hain spoke! Thank you sister!

After that, we went to the north-eastern district just as the inn-keeper instructed. There was a large building there with a dozen small chimneys emitting smoke. This must be the butcheries.
The interior was full of desks piled with meat. Soon after noticing someone had entered, an old man with a well-built body approached us.
「Yo, here to buy meat, are ya?」
「Ah no, we're here to sell already processed meat.」
As thought looking for the meat, he looked at me and Hain searching for a bag and switched to a dubious expression.

He told us to release the meat on a table nearby. I wonder if they can buy these all.

I simply answered blankly but I didn't actually mean it. Since I don't plan on making him do that.

He looked at me from head to toe, it looked as thought he was scanning me. Then he asked me to let him touch my hand and they moment he did, his inspection stopped.
「A spear, eh. How interesting, despite knowing yer fated weapon ya still chose another one. What a strange lad.」
Sorry, but am I that strange in this world? I just want a spear and not a sword.
「The spear will be, let's see. 2 meters long. Come back ere' tomorrow. It'd be ready by then.」
He sure is insistent but atleast he stopped before he started to bother us. I let out a sigh.
We left the blacksmith's shop after that, but just then, Hain suddenly held my right hand with both of hers.
「Why are you helping us?」
「Because you helped me.」
She looked at me with doubtful eyes. I stared at her acting all innocent.
「W-Well, it's just because you guys took me in and gave me a new home even if it were nine days.」
「We're the ones supposed to help you, you're still 11 years old! You're even younger than my little sister!」
Urk! She got a point there. But I'm not just any ordinary 11 years old, I'm a 19 year old inside. And I'm also the hero.
「I-It's because the orphanage and her younger sister is important to my future wife so I have to help them, right?」
I had to make an excuse. Humans when helped too much without them paying back the kindness start to feel guilty afterall. In some cases, they just leave. And I don't want that.
