By Thursday things had returned to normal, Ramon and Jessica were a bit shaken by everything, but they were fine now. Max was taking a break today heeding the advice of his friends and spent time doing nothing but relaxing on his sofa.
Ramon and Jessica decided to catch a movie at the cinema.
"I do say, we've been through quite a lot together" Ramon said with Jessica by his side.
They were seated within the theatre as the opening scenes of the movie started.
"Quite Ramon, the movie is starting" Jessica rebuked.
As the movie scenes started, Ramon checked around and he saw something weird, they were the only normal looking people. Two guys were seated on the rows closest to the exit and two on the extreme ends of the other rooms all wearing face caps and janitor overalls.
"That's strange" Ramon said.
"What is it this time Ramon?" Jessica said annoyed at him as their movie had already started.
"Everyone here apart from us is dressed in janitor overalls" Ramon said with a carefree tone.
Both continued to watch the movie then they turned and looked at each other and they knew what was up. Both stood up in unison with Ramon leading Jessica by the hand, as soon as they opened the door they were met by a familiar face.
"Going somewhere?" The person asked.
Max was jamming up to Trust by NF trying to take his mind of his parents when his phone beeped. He turned it on, and he received a message from an unknown person, and it read 'Turn on your TV'. He cautiously followed the instruction and put on his Tv and on the screen Sun was there sitting down on a chair holding a remote in his hand.
"Good after noon good citizens of America" he addressed them.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why I am on every screen in this country, and I do that for one reason and one reason alone. To call out the one and only Maverick" he said with a devilish grin.
"You took a lot from me Maverick and now I'm going to make you suffer, not by fighting you but by destroying everything you've ever cared about" he said.
"First off bombs have been implanted in different places all over the country and with the flick of a switch they can go off"
His words caused unrest all over the states, none was sure whether they were safe or not.
"And to show you how serious I am, how about a little demonstration" Sum said flicking a switch on a remote in his hand.
Multiple loud explosions rang sending fear to the hearts of everyone in San Francisco. Twenty explosions just went off in an instant rocking the nation.
"And that was twenty orphanages in San Francisco and ten in San Diego"
"You MONSTER!" Max yelled in his home outraged at his actions.
"I know what you all will be saying, you're a monster. Well, ....it is what I am" Sun said before cackling like a witch.
Innocent lives lost all just to prove a point.
"To be honest I'm just getting started. I'm going to make you and the whole country suffer and I know you will be quick to come fight me, but I am putting an ultimatum" he said. "You save or stop any explosion in the next five minutes, and I promise, these two will die" Sun said as the camera view showed Jessica and Ramon tied up with bandanas around their mouths and nose.
"I know how important they are to you so pick Maverick, either their lives or the lives of millions in the country? The choice is yours, but as you make up your mind, here's some music to aid your brain" Sun said pushing a button as Joyful Joyful we adore Thee began to play in his stereo.
Trust me it wasn't just playing through his stereo but by explosions going in off all over the country synchronizing with the song. An absolute murderer he was, Max held his head and pulled on his hair, he had to make a choice, the people or his friends. From hospitals and clinics, to schools, airports and no gas plants, nowhere was safe from Sun's rage. Thousands had died in mere seconds with gas plants exploding not just the plant but the homes of innocent people nationwide. The president was put in a bunker for safe keeping and guess what, it exploded alongside the entire White House. How he planned and pulled this off in four days wiring hundreds of places was just insane.
The whole nation was thrown into anarchy, what were they supposed to do, the lives of two or the lives of millions, a pretty obvious choice but it was totally different to Maverick. Other heroes set out to help out with the blasts because what the citizens didn't know unlike them, was that those were probably the most important people in his life. Villains were known to pull such stunts but keep the scaling down but this, this was the most insane thing ever done in both villain and hero world alike. It was beyond what anyone could've imagined. In the midst of all this chaos, Max sat on the floor holding his hair and rocking himself gritting his teeth with an insane look on his face. What was he meant to do, let millions die or let the only people he cared about in his life get killed.
"What am I gonna do, what am I gonna do, what am I gonna do...." he murmured to himself repeatedly.
Time flew by in a flash and Sun began to talk again after enjoying the carnage he had inflicted on the nation. They had no leaders with congress also kicking the bucket as well, mayors, governors, senators, you name it, he killed it, America was starting on a clean slate.
"It seems you made your choice. I don't blame you these two are the most important people in your lives after your parents. Oh wait, you don't have parents" Sun taunted as he laughed.
"Dan that's cold" Blazer, another hero said watching the feed from his phone.
Max stood up angrier than the flames of hell at the joke he made of his dead parents.
"Is someone angry that I killed his little mummy and daddy" Sun said with a mocking tone.
"Oh no this guy has crossed the line" a male citizen said.
"This explains a lot" another said standing by the man's side.
"I'm gonna kill that guy" Max said activating his powers as he instantly levitated off the ground.
"I know you're as angry as hell" Sun said with an excited tone.
"If you need me, I'm in the observatory where I beat the ass of your buddy and almost killed him. See you soon and till then, let the explosions continue" Sun said.
The explosions continued to rummage the states leaving the nation in turmoil with smoke reaching thousands of feet into the air.
"You're a wicked being" Jessica said taking the bandana of her mouth.
"You're gonna die a horrible death man" Ramon added doing the same.
"Don't worry, we shall see" Sun said.
He stood up pulling a Glock 18 out of his back pocket pulling back the barrel loading a bullet into the barrel. He stood behind Jessica and Ramon pointing his gun at their hands.
"Anytime now" Sun murmured.
Maverick crashed through the roof of observatory where the Den used to be with a loud thump. He looked straight at Sun with rage and anger in his eyes.
"Clam down little brother" Sun said but Maverick began to walk quickly towards him ready to strike.
"Ah, ah, ah, one more step and I blow their brains out" Sun said putting the barrel on the back of Ramon's head.
"Uh, I don't wanna die Maverick" Ramon said with a worried voice.
Max grunted angrily.
"What do you want now" he said with an aggressive tone.
"What I want is for you to suffer and I must make you suffer" Sun said.
"You've already killed millions, what more could you possibly want?" Max asked.
"I want you to suffer even more" Sun said pointing the gun at Jessica's head now.
She screamed in fear and panic with tears streaming down her eyes already.
"Don't worry Jess it will be fine" Ramon said holding her hand which she squeezed.
"Calm down, it will be okay" Max said trying to calm her down.
Their moments were being broadcasted nationwide and it was amazing that they both didn't say his real name.
"What was it you said about me taking my best shot?" Sun said revealing his evil through his words.
"Oh no" Ramon said as he heard Jessica already letting out sobs.
"If anything happens to me, the password to my phone is my birthday and same for my laptop. L-look under my bed and I've left something there for both of you" she said full of fright.
"Don't say that nonsense Jess, I'll get you out" Maverick said.
"She should cuz I really want to take my best shot" Sun said.
"Sun DON'T!!!" Max yelled.
Bang!
The clinking sound of a bullet she'll hitting the floor broke the silence that fell upon the room then followed by someone dropping. Max and Ramon where shocked at what had just happened with Sun holding a smile on his face as he and Ramon were covered in blood.
"Jessica!!" Ramon screamed as viewers held their mouths in shock.
Max still couldn't believe it, Jessica was dead. She laid there lifeless on the floor with blood rushing out from her head with pieces of her head missing. Max's expression slowly changed from a shocked one to one driven by anger and fury.
"She had it coming, what do you say about the other one?" Sun said looking up to Max.
Before his eyes could fixate on his body, Max shot of like a missile carrying Sun out of the observatory. Only one thing was certain now, Max had reached a resolve. That was to kill that bitch Sun.
