Ladder reluctantly left heavenly doctor Ling where he was and got back to cleaning. He felt like something was definitely going to go wrong, but he wasn't sure what it was.
He believed in his mind somewhere, that heavenly doctor Ling had agreed to not move with them, and that was keeping him satisfied and not terrified.
But heavenly doctor Ling had never agreed when he had asked him not to move. Heavenly doctor Ling hadn't even responded. It was all one sided, from Ladder's side. Ladder was starting to feel a little lighter as he pushed this to the back of his head.
Too much thinking would give him a headache.
He was thinking of enough nonsense already, but he himself was not going to think of anything voluntarily. He would be better off mindlessly lifting boxes and carrying them around the room to clean up.
If he did too much thinking he would hurt his head and not be able to think for very long.
