The emperor walked up to chief Zhao and stuck his hand out. Behind him were several soldiers and servants that rushed in, in a desperate attempt to keep up with the emperor.
The emperor's forehead was all scrunched up with enough force that he could probably hold a pen before the folds. Bai Jingfei instantly noticed this, but chief Zhao was so caught up in seeing the emperor that he never noticed the emperor's expression.
Chief Zhao's jaw almost fell to the ground as soon as he noticed the emperor walking into his "humble abode". It was something he had never expected, but had been his dream for quite some time. His eyes almost teared up thinking of the glory that would come with this visit.
There was nothing he could want more than the emperor himself acknowledging his humble presence. It was simply a dream come true.
To put it simply, chief Zhao was a fanboy of the emperor.
