Chapter 44 - Chapter 44- It felt like me

Jennifer and Darius's little fight turned into a pillow fight. Jennifer began hitting Darius with a pillow while he did the same too. Adrian got more angry when Darius began tickling her. "Wtf. He keeps his hand on her waist?" Adrian thought and his hands turned into fists practically controlling his anger. He lost his hit when her shirt got lifted a bit while wiggling. "Both of you. Stop. Would you?" He yelled like a monster which made Jennifer flinch.

Darius stayed silent. Adrian got up and from his seat and went into his bedroom and closed the door with a loud thud. "Well, I guess you should convince him now. I could help you but it will make him more angry." Darius said. "Bye then." He waved. Jennifer bid Darius farewell. She had to come up with a plan to convince Adrian. He was angry for some unknown reason.

"Ugh. I messed up his last evening. But why would he care? He doesn't like me. Right?" Jennifer frowned and decided to convince him. "Stop thinking too much." She laughed at herself. Adrian. Master Adrian, the famous cold boy of the school had soft corner for no one. Friends was still acceptable. However, Jennifer still didn't understand how she came to be called friends with this person who never had any friends. He never had a girlfriend. Mostly, people say that he was incapable of love. Jennifer was pretty sure they were wrong. She had seen love in his eyes, he even claimed to be in love with someone. That some girl who had been haunting Jennifer from the moment she knew her existence.

Jennifer made small steps towards the room that belonged to Adrian and opened the door, slowly to find him sitting on the bed, still angry! Adrian was furious with anger. Jennifer slowly went toward shim and stand beside him like a baby. "Adrian. I'm sorry. I know I am wrong. Please don't get mad." She said, her sadness visible in her voice. "How are you wrong?" Adrian questioned her with him still not facing her. Ugh! It was so difficult to stay angry with her.

"Huh" Jennifer was puzzled. "How are you wrong?" Adrian repeated himself. "I know I should have spent this evening with you rather than inviting Darius over to study. I am really sorry. I won't do it next time you are home. Please let me make it up to you." How innocent! How cute! Jennifer was still unaware that Adrian was jealous of Darius and her close friendship. She was still thinking it was her fault to not spend the evening with him. Which to mention, was in fact, correct but Adrian wouldn't get angry at such a trivial matter.

"So you will do such things when you are home alone?" Adrian smirked. "Yeah. You don't mind that. Right?" the dumbass in Jennifer replied without thinking what Adrian was implying by now. "So you have the audacity to be with him while I'm not around. Huh?" He asked sternly while tightened his grip on her arm. Jennifer hissed in pain. Adrian released her arm that very moment. In his jealousy he had gone so far to hurt Jennifer. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." He said while panicking internally.

Will she hate me now? Will she go away forever? Oh Adrian! You are such a fool. You and your stupid jealousy will the reason she will hate you forever. Overthinking was one of the many issues Adrian faced. As a child who was raised without any proper parental care, he took each and every step, very carefully. As a result, overthinking became one of his habits.

But luck was supportive, Jennifer herself was feeling guilty of spoiling his last evening here, that she couldn't care less about her arm. "Its okay. Will you give me a chance to make it up to you?" Jennifer asked again. "Yes. Yes. Of course." Adrian quickly agreed. Jennifer instructed Adrian to put on some clothes as they were going outside. Adrian tried to know the destination but all Jennifer told him was to hurry. When, Adrian came downstairs to go his jaw was left wide open in shock. Jennifer was wearing a solid burgundy bodycon dress with matching heels, looking purely ethereal. Her lipstick matched her dress, making her look like a pure goddess. There was no denying that now, from this very moment Adrian was in love with the most beautiful and charming person God had ever created. The beauty of this level was never created before, nor shall it be created in future. This was once upon a millennium chance.

"Whoever this girl falls in love with is sure to be the luckiest person to inhibit this universe ever." Adrian thought to himself. Although, a part of him wished, badly, that it was him because if she didn't fall in love with him, he would sure be never able to move on. Adrian didn't even know enough words to compliment her for how she looked. Every standard of beauty. Every thought of beautiful things seemed nothing in comparison to her.

"I know, I look hot but don't stare at me like that." Jennifer joked around. Jennifer had looked up only to find him wearing a white V-neck shirt that clung to his bulging biceps, dark jeans, and outrageously expensive-looking sneakers. He looked like an Armani ad. So ridiculously proportioned, symmetrical, and tan. Soft lips and hard jaw and chin. His eyes scanned her briefly before he took a step back.

Adrian snapped out of his state and moved an inch only to fumble and fall head first on the floor if Jennifer hadn't caught his wrist. "Look where you are going." She said and entwined her arm gracefully to Adrian's. She sat in the car and nodded, instructing the driver to drive.

"Can I at least know, where we are going?" Adrian pleaded. "Of course. Now that you are already in the car and you can't go back home I shall tell you where we are going. We are going to a club." Jennifer smiled, showing her perfect teeth reflecting light like diamonds. "You wanna go clubbing. I'll show you the best club in the world. Driver, head to Vieille Bon Secours." Jennifer's mouth was left hanging. She had never been there. Her father said it was not for the civilized society.

And as soon as Jennifer entered the club, she understood why her father said that. Every inch of the club reeked of alcohol, drugs and sweat. Expensive clothes and shoes dotted the entire landscape. Some of the biggest businessmen in the world were present. Most of her dad's colleagues or business partners. Some rivals as well. People covered every horizontal surface present. Loud music poured out of the speakers. It was the perfect place for a few hours of extreme partying.

"Wow. It's so exciting." Jennifer squealed. She was well aware she was going against the guidelines set by her father for her, and for the very first time but this feeling of defying the authority gave her chills in a positive manner. This feeling was new. She had never felt so alive. She felt like herself.
