Rest whole week rushed up. Jennifer was busy with her geography essay and multiple quizzes and loads of homework that the school drowned her in. As for Adrian, he spent the whole week, deep in thought, contemplating whether to approach Jennifer or stay aloof. He thought about everything James said carefully. He weighed his emotions precisely and asked himself if this was what he wanted.
But there was something he did not understand. He knew he wanted Jennifer. He loved her. That was for sure. But Jennifer had a complete world- Parents, Friends, Boyfriend. Would it be right to distort her world just because he wanted her? Adrian decided to go with the flow. He would not give up on his love, but he also would not be so excessively obsessed with her that he harms her.
It was Saturday. Jennifer woke up, had her shower, and chose her outfit. Boyfriend skinny jeans with a striped shirt and a pair of sneakers. A backpack which had money and few other necessities including a water bottle, a handkerchief etc. Jennifer was getting ready to meet Winston, they had to go for a long drive as Winston had promised her. Winston has already texted her that they would go in her car, as his father's car and driver were not available at the moment.
She headed out and saw Winston and her driver in her car. She came and pecked him on the cheek. "Hey babe."
"Hi baby. Shall we go?" Winston asked.
"Yeah." Said Jennifer and with that they both headed towards the east direction.
"So, where are we going?"
"Right now, I don't know. But do you have any place in your mind?" Winston asked Jennifer.
"Umm…. I know a place." Jennifer said playfully. "Take the next left." Jennifer told the driver. The driver did as instructed. After a few minutes, they were outside a club. "Whoa! so you were planning for a club night." Winston said with a smirk. "Yeah! I am in a mood for dancing. This club is owned by my father, so we won't have a problem entering. It has been really stressful week. Help me relieve some of it." With that, Jennifer ran into the club and Winston followed her.
Jennifer walked into the club with Winston by her side. Winston noticed men looking Jennifer up and down and entwined their fingers. Jennifer looked down at their fingers and back at Winston giving him a confused look. "I just don't want you… to get lost. It's easy to get lost in the crowd." Winston lied bringing Jennifer closer to him. Jennifer only nods and brushes it off leading him towards the bar. Winston watches Jennifer effortlessly take down shots, not even flinching as she did so. Jennifer feels Winston's amused on her and looks up at him. "I have had a few drinks at parties before. At the business parties dad threw, we always had some… you know?" Jennifer's playful smile resumed on her perfect face. "Let's dance!" Jennifer yelled over the loud music, leading Winston away from the bar.
Winston agrees, while they dance together inching closer as every second passes by. Jennifer was good at dancing. It was one of her favorite hobbies and she was quite good at it as well. Jennifer shut her eyes and let the rhythm take over her body, swaying her hips to the music and throwing her head around. Her hair bouncing all over her face.
She was so immersed in the music that she didn't notice Winston staring at her, his hair littered his forehead and stuck to it because of the sweat that was dripping down as he watched his girlfriend move her body to the tune, feeling extremely hot. Jennifer opens her eyes an immediately noticed Winston staring at her intently, his teeth latching on to his bottom lip as his eyes rake her body. Jennifer blushes but continues to move her body with the crowd.
Winston wasn't able to take his eyes off her. Although there were so many people before him, he could only watch her Jennifer. Jennifer lets her hair lose, letting it fall on her shoulders. The song stops abruptly making the crowd groan. Voices, as protest begin and both of them decided to make their way back to the bar.
"I knew you could dance but I didn't know you could dance like that." Winston muttered in her ear. Jennifer smiled. "There's a lot more you don't know about me, babe" she drowned her drink, ripping her eyes away from Winston.
"I'm gonna go, get a refill."
"I'll come with you." Winston almost shouts, raising up as well. They walked together but Winston pulled into a hallway. "What?" Jennifer asks. Winston doesn't respond and only stares at her, watching her lips hungrily. Jennifer notices and connects their lips. She had been in a relationship for past one year. She thought that a kiss wouldn't hurt. Above all of this, they were both drunk and weren't thinking straight.
Jennifer's hand fly to Winston nape pulling him in while Winston clutches her waist. Winston separates their lips, looking at Jennifer. "I've been here before, There's a free room here." he breathes trying to catch his breath. "But I'm not ready yet. This is too sudden." Jennifer said with the shocked expression. "I am." Winston claims. "But I'm not." Jennifer protests. She felt that it was not the right time. Winston was drunk. "Babe we're both drunk. We're not thinking straight." Jennifer tried to reason with her drunk boyfriend. "I am ready. I need you." he said in a husky voice.
With that, he began dragging Jennifer in a nearby room. Jennifer kicked and pushed Winston but couldn't free herself from his grip. This was the first time she actually realized how strong her frail looking boyfriend was. Jennifer struggled and writhed under his hold but all in vain. Winston just kept dragging her. He turned a deaf ear to her begging, pleading and shouting. He came inside the room and threw Jennifer on the bed. Jennifer immediately curled up into a ball on the bed itself.
Just as Winston was about to close the door, there was a loud bang on the door. Taken aback, he saw Adrian and James standing at the door. Adrian kicked the door open. "How dare you do something like this, you monster!" he roared. Even before Winston could do anything Adrian and James were inside the room. Adrian connected his fist to Winston's jaw and continued throwing punches at him, grinding his teeth in fury. He was maddened by anger.
Even without a second wasted, Winston was on the floor trying to avoid the punches being thrown at him but all his attempts were useless. Jennifer quickly regained her senses within the time being and rushed to stand up from the bed. She moved towards the gate (in case of safety) and then shouted on top of her lungs, "Stop it." The moment Jennifer's voice landed on Adrian's ears, his eyes turned to the bed but he did not see Jennifer there. This split second of confusion was enough for Winston to take over the fight and he attempted to punch Adrian back but that was blocked by James. James nodded indicating Adrian that he will take over the fight and Adrian should go towards Jennifer.
Adrian quickly followed his advice. He got up from Winston and slowly moved towards Jennifer. He kept his distance making sure that she did not feel uncomfortable. But on the other hand Jennifer was completely focused on Winston, she was scared but she ran towards James and held his arm preventing him from hitting Winston. James and Adrian were both confused why Jennifer was protecting Winston. They deduced that it was because of her undying love towards her boyfriend but the next moment, what they saw sent their eyes widen in shock and left their mouths hanging.
Jennifer helped Winston get up and slapped him so hard on the face that his lower lip began to bleed. Then she kicked him on his knee so hard that he was kneeling before her. Then, she grabbed on his hair and told him, "Winston I am leaving you alive just so you can learn your lesson. I am not your toy. I love you but I need you to respect my choice of not entering a sexual relation right now." With that she began to walk away when she reached the gate, with her back facing Winston she said, "Winston we better not see each other for some time now. Do not try to approach me until I tell you to."
With that she left the room. Adrian was shocked. The girl who felt so vulnerable, so delicate on the outside was really strong when needed to be. He remembers when he saw her crying in the cafeteria hugging the same boy she had beaten the shit out of a few moments before. "This girl never fails to surprise me." Adrian thought with a sigh. Just then James placed a hand on Adrian's shoulder and said, "Go after her. She can use a friend right now." Adrian ran behind Jennifer and saw her leaving the club. He ran and caught up with her and saw little beads of tears in her eyes as she walked up to her car.
He called behind her. "Jennifer wait!" Jennifer looked up and saw Adrian behind her. She hurriedly wiped her tears. Adrian looked at Jennifer. He wanted to hug her but didn't know if it was okay with her. To his surprise, Jennifer hugged Adrian and started sobbing. Adrian hugged her back. He wiped her tears and made her sit in the car.
He told the driver to take them to Adrian's home. Jennifer kept crying all through the journey. No words were exchanged but a comfortable silence blanketed both of them. When they reached Adrian's home they saw James standing at the door. "I knew you will be here!" he said. Adrian gave a small smile. His best friend knew him a bit too well. "I've taken care of him." James said before entering the house. Adrian and Jennifer followed him inside.
They went into Adrian's bedroom and Adrian ordered a servant to get up a towel and some basic things. He told Jennifer that she should take a hot water bath. It would help her relax and told her that they both will be waiting for her outside. Jennifer entered the hot water bathtub. The water came in contact with her skin, relaxing each and every cell of her body that had been strained due to the recent traumatic event. Jennifer was having a very bad headache from all that crying and shouting. She laid in the bathtub and closed her eyes.
The only sound that could be heard was her breath getting calmer and calmer, as every second passed by. She slowly regained her composure. After the bath, Jennifer came out wrapped in a bath towel and saw lines of female servants waiting for her holding about a hundred dresses. The nearest maid said, "Ma'am, Master Adrian ordered us to bring a hundred dresses as he didn't know what type of dress would you like to wear. Please feel free to choose any one of them."
Jennifer laid her eyes on the nearest dress. Each one of them seemed very expensive. Every dress had a different style, different fashion. Even though Jennifer was very rich herself, she felt that every dress was intricate. She chose a simple T-shirt with jeans as she did not feel like getting dressed up at the moment. When she got ready a maid came and said, "Ma'am, master Adrian and master James are waiting outside. Can they come in?"
