Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. The sound of my boots as I walked in the paved road of the main street downtown.
Dressed in a cloak, I snuck out of the Evanson castle to search for the missing girls.
First I would like to make a statement; I am no Hero. I am doing this for myself and only myself because I can't help but feel guilty that I have power to help yet I've been staying quite all this time.
I've wandered around the streets searching for a clue...in the end I decided to make a bait of myself and see where it will be going...
So I sat next to the frozen fountain and removed my hood off my head and quietly waited for the cuplrit behind the case to show his ugly face.
~One hour later no one showed up.
The street was under the protection of the Evansons Frost knights.
Not one but three patrol teams stopped and asked me to leave the square for my own safety.
Of course, thanks to my psychic abilities I was able to "persuade" them with a little difficulty; their sword aura stood in the way.
My hands went straight covering my mouth, shaking not believing what my eyes are showing me...
My legs refused to move.
The man standing in front of me he looks exactly like him, a copy exactly how I remember him.
His red hair, his eyes as bright and deep as they used to be... His untidy shirt and suit pants.
I don't know where this poetic verse came from...But I really meant it. Derick is and will always be prescious to me...
I ran a hand in my hair and took in a deep breath trying to calm down.
I quitely followed him as it led me to the lake where I was training with Trudy on practicing witch powers.
The lake was filled With blood. Bodies of young town girls were floating on the sides and some scattered bones crunched as I walked passed them...
Slowly, from the water rose a man with a long black hair, his body was like a frozen corpse...
I walked forward to the edge of the lake and stopped. The man cam from the lake, practically wearing nothing but sheets...like some ancient Greece citizen...
His eyes flared crimson and as he opened his mouth fangs grew in size.
The creature was about to bite me when suddenly it's head turned 180 degrees at an odd angle In a loud bone cracking noise.
His corpse fell backward as I stared down at it...
His head was then back to the way it was and he stood up with heavy breaths glaring at me.
I had a sudden realisation. It was a piece of information I got from Cassandra the day she made me drink the tea and eat the sweets...
A very long time ago before mages existed; the ancient civilization used rune magic to draw power from nature and their god.
Rune magic was the begining of all kinds of magic...and the thirst for more power was what brought the ancient civilization to doom.
This empire was built at the hands of four families. Four families of Four heroes who saved this continent and created Regulus.
They saved the continent from what ancient people made...
Yep you heard it right...this guy is a vampire, an enchanted human being...on of the big mistakes they made in ancient times.
He laughed, a nasty long laugh.
Fear showed up on his face then he smiled
Oh...Oh damn. Are you telling me that I was the one who set that thing free???
A grey corpse like something that has been rotting for a very very long time.
He also showed me how he kept bewitching young woman and drinking their blood to his content. How he drank Juliette's blood to the last drop...
He's lying...
He bend his knee and begged But before he could finish his words, his arm turned into to an odd angle.
It happened so fast.
At first there was a burning rage and hatred.
The rage turned into power and power clouded my mind.
I went berserk and tortured the Vampire over and over and over again.
The creature howled and screamed begging for mercy but all I could hear was the voice of rage speaking in my mind.
"He killed them so he deserves to suffer"
"Juliette and The other girls are dead because of him"
"A creature like this should never exist in the first place"
"Kill him. Kill him just like how he killed the girls!"
I waved my hand and like if he was dragged by invisible force, the creature crouched a foot front of me.
He looked up and started begging again hanging at the tip of my cloak
I grabbed his head with both hands and glared at him and said
I was enraged, enraged enough to reach for the power of the Abyss. To use the power I got when that butterfly fused itself with my soul.
As soon as I unleashed it, the vampire's veins turned dark and his flesh turned grey.
No matter how he begged I didn't stop until all that was left of him was a Crimson Jewel the size of an Apple in a pile of ash.
But that was not enough...not nearly enough to quell my blind rage.
