Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Utterly Ridiculous!

To sum things up. I was invited to the imperial palace for the purpose of attending a tea party organized by the first princess, Priscilla.

I expected a cold shoulder treatment but this is too much to be called a simple prank.

Seat arrangements come in ranks. It is only natural for the daughter of House Evanson second to the Emperial Regulus Family to sit right next to the host of the party.

Yet here I am standing half bewildered for they put my seat the farthest from the princess.

How should I react to this? Should I just back down and sit quietly instead of stopping to their level? That's quite the rational way, but it doesn't suit me.

So instead I Smiled and said

The princess shifted in her seat discreetly, it was subtle but I saw it and so did the other guests.

I walked toward the seat next to the princess and stared down at the lady sitting on it.

I said always with a smile.

she said shocked by my straightforwardness

always with a smile.

She said she exchanged a side look with the princess who remained silent.

I laughed I backed away I threw a glance at the princess before walking away

The sound of a chair creaking came before the princess said She continued

I turned round and she motioned the lady sitting by her to stand up and so the seats were changed at the price of spiting the princess and the column of ladies I made change seats.

But that wasn't the end of it, I still have folds to get back before I am satisfied I said pasting on an awed expression.

The princess replied bewildered

I continued exaggerating even more to my reaction no one spoke for a solid minute until a few ladies tried to comfort me with their fake smiles and fake critics of servants

I clapped my hand attracting again all attention

As to how I got that information; I simply read her mind when she made eye contact with me a moment ago.

What a bunch of spoiled woman. I can smell it, I can feel it. The waves of negative emotions they bare toward each other, toward me or toward the princess.

Jealousy, Hatred, Discrimination, Fear... All of that behind smiles flowers and tea.

What a disgusting bunch.

Utterly ridiculous.
