Two weeks after the incident, now Jinwoo really became Yujin's bodyguard. Every day the man followed Yujin wherever she went. In fact, he also had to follow Yujin when the woman was dating Minwoo. Wherever Yujin walked, Jinwoo would always be behind her. But even so, Jinwoo's attitude towards Yujin never changed. The man continued to show his coldness to Yujin whenever Yujin tried to approach him. But that has never been a problem for Yujin, because she believes that one day her effort will definitely not be in vain.
"Yujin, why do you keep asking Jinwoo hyung to be your bodyguard? Isn't everything all right?"
Minwoo once asked Yujin when they were having lunch at a fast food restaurant in a Seoul shopping center. Two tables behind them, sat Lee Jinwoo himself with black glasses framing his firm irises. The man looked so stiff as he watched Yujin's movements from afar. And at the same time Yujin was also glancing at the man while putting on a meaningful smile that only Jinwoo could understand.
"Don't mind it, isn't that his job?" Yujin replied indifferently.
Jinwoo directed his sharp gaze towards Yujin because the man could clearly hear every conversation that Yujin and his brother were having. From the start he realized that all of this was Yujin's trick to get back at him. Fortunately, so far Yujin has not exhausted his patience like it used to, so everything is going well as long as she is the spoiled female bodyguard.
"Oppa, have you ever had a lover?"
"Why are you suddenly asking that?"
Minwoo looked awkward with Yujin's questions about lovers. So far he has not had a girlfriend. But he lives a free love life in Canada because he is still a normal man who needs a woman by his side.
"Just wanted to ask. I don't want our marriage to be ruined because of another woman. So I want you to be honest with me now, do you have a lover or a woman close to you?"
Minwoo seemed hesitant to answer. He was afraid that Yujin would be angry if he said the truth.
"Just close friends. But she's not my lover, so you take it easy."
Yujin nodded her head in understanding and didn't seem interested in digging for more information about that woman. She was even more interested in Jinwoo, who had suddenly been approached by two beautiful women who wanted to join him at his table.
"Hyung is popular." Minwoo commented when he followed Yujin's eyes.
Yujin who was not focused at first, returned to focus on Minwoo and asked the man.
"What? What were you saying?" asked Yujin like a fool.
Minwoo chuckled softly as he pinched Yujin's cheek in exasperation.
"My hyung is indeed popular. Look, he's got two women by his side. If he weren't a cold, stiff guy, then he would already have a girlfriend. Unfortunately he chose to be alone. He loves his job too much than women," said Minwoo with a chuckle.
Yujin stared at Jinwoo in silence as she continued to pay attention to Jinwoo's attitude that seemed uncomfortable with the presence of two women beside him. Moreover, they looked very aggressive by continuing to ask Jinwoo this so that it made Jinwoo want to throw them away from the chair they were sitting on. Feeling sorry, Yujin finally chose to approach Jinwoo and embraced the man's arm.
"Honey, let's go. I suddenly wanted to eat elsewhere."
Jinwoo did not say anything and immediately left the two noisy women who had kept bothering him. They then approached Minwoo and said goodbye to the man on the grounds that they still had a lot of work to do immediately.
"Oppa, I seem to have to go now. I still have a lot of work to do."
"Ok, then be careful. Don't forget to do your clothes fitting tomorrow morning. Our wedding reception will be held in a week. Don't let anything bad happen to you again, Yujin."
Minwoo pulled Yujin closer and kissed the woman's forehead tenderly. Whereas Yujin looked so resigned as she glanced nervously at Jinwoo. She wanted to know how the man reacted when he saw her intimacy with his younger brother. But unfortunately what Yujin wanted didn't happen. Lee Jinwoo seemed fine and was not at all bothered by the intimacy that had occurred between her and Minwoo.
After kissing Yujin's forehead for quite a while, Minwoo stepped back and smiled sweetly at Yujin.
"Be careful. Hyung, please take good care of my future wife."
Jinwoo nodded briefly at Minwoo and immediately walked away following Yujin's steps away.
During the time, neither of them spoke a word. Yujin who is usually always mouthy, chooses to shut her lips tightly while staring at the street in front of her with a blank gaze.
In a week she and Minwoo will have their wedding. She had not succeeded in making Jinwoo love her. Even though she had tried to tease him to be attracted to her. But all of them were useless. Lee Jinwoo was still cold to her and also indifferent, as if nothing special had happened between them. Even though Yujin wanted the man to see her feelings just once.
"I want to go to your house."
There was no answer from Jinwoo. The man seemed to be deafening his ears and still drove his car towards the residence of Minister Im.
"I said I wanted to your house, did you not hear me!"
Yujin shouted in annoyance beside Jinwoo as she glared at the man. Today she felt even more frustrated and wanted to vent it by doing something. And she thought she could do something fun at Jinwoo's house which was terrible but kept a charm of its own for herself.
"My house is not open to the public." Jinwoo replied coldly.
He will never let Yujin return to his house because he might lose control like he used to.
"But I want to go to your house. I want to learn to use a knife. I'm frustrated today."
Yujin sighed softly as she leaned back against the passenger seat she was sitting on. She was sure, Jinwoo would definitely not want to take her to his house full of those terrible weapons. But suddenly Jinwoo spun around and took Yujin out of Seoul.
"Where are we going?"
"To my house."
"You want to take me to your house? Ahhh... thanks General Lee!"
Yujin shouted with joy and reflexively hugged Jinwoo from the side.
Getting a hug from Yujin, Jinwoo was silent. He didn't really like that hug, but he also didn't react to Yujin to get her annoying arm away from his body. He was completely silent while concentrating on the quiet road in front of him.
"Why did you choose to stay away from your family?"
"Because family will only make me weak."
Yujin was stunned by Jinwoo's answer. The man clearly had a bad past about his family. He seemed so antipathic and reluctant to approach President Kang's life. Yujin tried to read the look on Jinwoo's face, which looked glazed. She was sure, in every cold face of Jinwoo, there would always be an expression hidden by the man.
"I like my family. Even though I only have a father, I'm really grateful for him. I used to feel annoyed, why is God so cruel to me. God took my mother when I was just born into the world. But as I get older I realize that all of this is a part of life. I may not be as happy as my friends who have complete parents, but I can feel happy in other ways."
"What kind of way can make you happy?"
Yujin gave a bright smile as Jinwoo seemed interested in the story.
"Many things. One of them I can get abundant affection and also abundant wealth from father. Whereas my friends who have a complete family don't have the same financial luck as me. How about you general? "
"You don't need to know."
"Why? I've told you about my past, should you do that too?"
"It's not that you told me about your past, I also have to tell my past too."
Yujin began to give up trying to force Jinwoo to tell her. The man was too closed off that it felt very difficult to break through the thick layer. But that doesn't mean she can't do it. Someday she will definitely be able to do it.
