Both Valdemar and Lea looked at each other then away when they heard Sir Butler's voice.
The carriages started moving and soon, we are all out of the premises of the Castle and into the town.
I stare at the place we pass by in wonder. And I thought Maneth got supplies, guess I was wrong.
"Me, being the brother of someone who hates you is really a shame... " Valdemar said, staring away from Lea. He is fully aware that she is looking at him, but he just kept it neutral.
When he said this, he turned to stare into the eyes of Lea as he spoke. His bright blue eyes penetrating deeply into her soul.
"I apologise for all the trouble"
Lea felt the sincerity in his voice and his apologetic spirit. She hates the way he talks to her whenever they're in the Castle, but...
But when they're alone... He's different. Totally.
"I should also apologize for bringing... "
Valdemar rolls his eyes and shushed her!
"You just came into the Banneui! I don't think you remember what she said to and about you"
I gulped. That's true, I don't remember what she said actually.
But my thinking stops when I come across the sight of lights, blazing everywhere inside balloons. The night sky is so beautiful the way it is.
The carriages beside us slows down so that our own carriage will be ahead of the others.
From a distance, Edward being the rider of one of the carriage seems happy. Probably because Aisha didn't get picked, so he can start his own "Thing" with her, maybe.
Kinda makes sense.
"Tell me something you know about your Father, you people seems very close"
I sigh as the face he used to stare at me just before he died, flashed in my head.
"He was a great man. We didn't live the way we did. Even where I stay before can tell you that... " Lea paused and adjusted, facing Leo.
"But then, I was given birth to. The right things were always scarce for me because I grew up in the hands of a man. My mother was a warrior in some Kingdom a bit far from Maneth... So... "
Valdemar eyes widened a little but he kept it calm. He didn't want to let the thoughts in his head to get the better of him.
"I bet he was a great father" Valdemar said
Lea let the tears in her eyes to escape freely as she sniffed in deeply.
"More than you can imagine" she cried silently so that the rider of the carriage won't hear them.
Valdemar held her tightly in his arms and let her lay her head on his shoulder why he tapped her gently.

Laura wrote the letter with shaky hands. Sweat visibly went down the curve of her nose.
The paper that she wrote the letter on is a neat one but with the way she wrote on it, it is now all squeezed and unpresentable.
She have forgotten how to even speak English because of the fear that is in her because of Jen. She do not know what to do.
Jen will be so mad. No doubt.

The King and Queen prepares to sleep when they start talking about Lea and Valdemar.
"I like the girl's honesty and dignity. She really got our son's heart" Basseneu said as he lay on their Royal bed.
"Indeed. I can't wait to see them become one and finally call her my daughter in law. I will be so glad on that day" The Queen said and sat on the bed, applying her special ointments herself.
"But... Are you sure Jen isn't planning anything with the girls or maids of the palace?"
Queen Sarah turned to look at Basseneu.
"What do you mean?"
The King shook his head and explained to her; "The other ladies get at Valdemar but the way he acts isn't really satisfying to them so they drop him. But it have come to my notice that one of the lady is still pursuing him. Even when Lea is with him"
This one got the Queen's attention. She stopped what she was doing and turn to Basseneu.
"Dear... How do you know if it's Jen?"
The King shot at her a glare and she gulps. It is obvious that every bad thing that happens to Lea is from Jen, even when it comes to women pursuing their son, how does the Queen not get that?!
"Jen is on the move, Sarah. We have to be highly vigilant of both the arguments that will come up between Valdemar and Lea. I like the girl and I don't mind if all my sons marry she and her sisters if she has any" the King said and Sarah nodded thoughtfully.
The maid, Sarah, knocks gently on their door and with the King's permission, she enters.
"Good day your Majesties"
"Hello Sarah. What is it?" The Queen asked.
"I wanted to let you know that your dinner had been on the table since"
"Have them stored. We don't feel like eating" The king answered harshly and Sarah looks at the Queen.
She nodded at the beautiful maid and Sarah exited the room.
"Basseneu Dear, relax. Jen can't do anything to make the love of Valdemar towards Lea go down. Even I have seen it"
Basseneu said nothing in reply, but grabbed his robe, wore it and walked out of the room.
"Only you know that" he whispered as he walk down the hallway to the deepest part of the Castle till when he gets to a door.
He opened it and went in.
A bronze statue of a woman. More like a warrior stood there with a spear in her right hand and on her right foot.
"Don't worry, Sarine"
Basseneu stared at it and breathed in deeply.
"I will take care of your daughter for you"
The Queen sighed seeing the reaction of her husband and stared out of the window as she shook her head.
"She will be fine, Sarine" she whispered.
