I sneakily sent a text to Toshiro. He read it then subtly winked at me to tell me he was in. Great! I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face.
Toshiro suddenly gasped and pointed at the entrance. “Isn’t that a member of BTS?!”
Everyone turned their heads to look and I quickly poured a large amount of salt and pepper into Ryu’s food.
“Of course not baka!” Todou shouted, nearly smacking Toshiro but he quickly dodged it.
I snickered to myself. Ryu was in for a treat!
Ryu reached out for a tissue and accidentally knocked down my chopsticks. I glared at him but bent down and picked them nonetheless. Toshiro started shaking his head at me which was weird so I payed him no mind. I picked up a piece of meat with my chopsticks and stuffed it into my mouth.
I froze.
Holy shit!
I quickly grabbed a tissue and spat out the meat. What the hell!
“Aito-kun, are you okay?” Ryu asked me, looking concerned. I flashed him death glares. Wicked wicked Ryu! He switched our foods! How did he even know?! And now he’s acting sweet.
I noticed Todou watching so I gave him a fake smile. “I’m fine”
“Are you sure? Is something wrong with the meat?”
“Nothing’s wrong!” I snapped. “Leave me alone”
If Todou gets to know that I ruined Ryu’s dinner, I’d be done for. Thankfully, Ryu didn’t drag the matter. Instead, he kept this wide smile on his face as he ate my own food.
Dinner was absolutely horrible. I had never frowned so much in my entire life. And people say frowning will give a person wrinkles. Ugh. I hate Ryu. I really really hate Ryu!
Afterwards, I was forced to buy him a new phone. Ryu actually picked the exact same brand I smashed to pieces. I thought he was going to go for something more expensive just to piss me off but I guess even he had morals.
After much begging and pleading, Todou finally let us go. Since I left my car at the shopping mall, Todou drove us back while Ryu called a cab home. Things were in no way over between us. He’ll see.
*******
Sara’s house was filled to the brim with people. Loud music reverberated so hard we could feel the vibrations in their chests. Lights kept flickering between blue and red which made me a bit dizzy but it was nothing I couldn’t handle.
I, my friends and some other people were sitting on the floor, playing a game called Never have I ever. Empty bottles of alcohol were scattered all over. Some people were already shit drunk and spewing nonsense. I, however, have a high alcohol tolerance. Besides, I’ve only had two shots of vodka.
“Never have I ever had sex with a stranger!” Sakura shouted, laughing like a hyena. A clear sign that she was drunk. I think she had up to 4 or 5 shots. Even though she knows she’s a lightweight, she never regulates her drinking and Yua who claims to be her best friend, doesn’t care. Oh well, I hope she gets drunk and does something that will stigmatize her for life.
I, Toshiro and a few other people all took shots. She pointed at me while laughing. “I’m saying these things so Aito-kun can get shit drunk! He has done so many! Hahahahaha!”
Yua chuckled. “My turn. Never have I ever gone down on a girl”
I and a few others took another round of shots.
Sakura started laughing hysterically. “Y'all are animals! Hahahaha! I can clearly remember that Aito-kun went down on me too and oh my gosh he’s so good with his tongue hahaha! Y’all should get in bed with him someday. He’ll make you feel so gooooood”
Ugh. I decided it would be best if Sakura wasn’t given a chance to speak anymore. She would blurt out every secret she knew about me.
As if Sara read my mind, she stood up with a sigh. “Let’s play a different game guys”
Everyone agreed. Sara’s parties were usually wild and fun but I wasn’t feeling it tonight. Her house was big and they had two indoor swimming pools which were already filled with people. Some were busy dancing in the living room, some chatting, some making out and some having sex in dark corners and rooms.
The party was supposed to be held last night but Toshiro and Ryu ruined everything by creating a scene which involved the police.
When I sent her a text saying I couldn’t make it, she decided to throw another one tonight. It all worked in my favour though. I didn’t mind as long as I get what I came for.
I also had to face time Sakura and Yua, apologizing for abandoning them and then explained everything that had happened. I didn’t fail to express my hatred for the new guy. Though, I left out the part about buying him a phone. He honestly impressed me there. At least I know he’s not one for material things.
My phone began to vibrate and groaned when I saw the caller ID. Miss Park. Fuck that woman should leave me alone. So clingy. Me avoiding her should be a clear message that I didn’t want to talk to her. Why must she be so desperate?
I switched off my phone and refocused on the game. I actually wanted to snoop around and see if I could find something to use against Sara but Yua dragged me to play games. It was okay until Sakura got drunk.
“Let’s play truth or dare” some guy with dreadlocks suggested.
They all agreed and I sighed, downing another shot. “I’m gonna get another drink. Start without me” I said then stood up and walked to the kitchen.
Damn. I really wasn’t feeling it at all. As I passed familiar faces, all I could remember was me and Aera dancing at a party like this. I could recall her sweet smile, her bright eyes full of happiness.
‘I love you Aito-kun’ she had screamed over the loud music. ‘I love you Yamamoto Aito!’ then she burst out laughing. We drank alcohol for the first time and were super high. That night was the best and worst night of our lives.
