Chapter 12 - The Prophecy

"Kaaahhkkk...." Sophie started to wake up, her eyes were started to open. She was still lying down on the ground. Hairs were all over her face.

"I felt tickled all over my body," Sophie said, in a low voice.

Laura laughed.

"You both are nuts," Dakota said.

Sophie and Laura both laughed.

"Stand up quick, Master Annon is coming," Zale said.

Xion and Sophie saw each other, their eyes met but did not speak anything. Laura and Dakota grabbed Sophie's shoulder to help her to get up. Xion pulled her hands. She stood and adjusted her hairs. Zale was standing the whole time with an expressionless face. Abel and Ikaria did not move from their place not even for a second.

Clouds started to appear in the hall, with thunder and lighting.

"Thud..."

They all came together and stood in a horizontal line in the stand at ease position.

With the lighting, Master Annon appeared. He wore a white long oversized Hanbok. He entered with his hands tucked in his oversized sleeves.

They all sat on the ground with one knee up and crossed their hands with a fist in front of their chests except Sophie. She followed them afterwards.

"Rise my warriors…" Master Annon said.

They rose and stood in the same position.

Master Annon had made a bun of his hairs and held them with the sticks. He had white hairs, normal eyes like Master Wayne not like Ikaria and all others.

"Why weren't you all practicing...?" Master Annon stopped in halfway.

"Who are you?" Master Annon asked eyes fell on Sophie while was addressing everyone. Sophie was at the end of the line on the left side. She was standing beside Xion.

"I am Sophie," She answered.

"Nobody told me about a new student," Master Annon said, showing her palms out of the sleeves.

"But we have all elements..." Master Annon. "...what element do you possess?"

"Ah.....h..h.h..." Sophie uttered. Laura and Sophie saw at each other. She was wringing her hands.

"I did not hear you," Master Annon said. "Did I miss it?"

"No, Master," Sophie said. "I did not say anything." She with a tight wrist held her skirt.

"Master Wayne knows," Sophie informed. She put her head down.

"I did not understand," Master Annon said.

"Master she does not intend to tell you," Ikaria retorted, step forward then backwards.

Sophie nodded her head in a negative. "It's not like that," She pleaded.

"She is disrespecting you, Master," Abel said, step forward then backwards.

Sophie glared at Abel.

"It is nothing like that," Xion said. Sophie glanced at him.

"She must have her reason,"

Master Annon looked here and there then ran his hand on his beard.

"What is your full name?" Master Annon asked, laying eyes on Sophie.

"Sophie Wharton," She answered.

"Wharton," Master Annon quavered, stopping his hand on the beard. His eyes widened, ears moved as Sophie's answer laid on his eardrums.

"I'll see you all later," Master Annon said. "Continue with your training,"

Master Annon exists.

"Is my name that haunted?" Sophie puzzled.

Dakota sees Sophie.

Ikaria sighed and sat on the magical chair made of water by her. She stretched her legs and hands then crossed her hands and legs.

"We are a team like he said," Ikaria said, glaring at Xion. "We should know your power,"

"Indeed," Abel said, walking towards Ikaria and stood behind her.

Dakota turned towards Sophie.

"Are you afraid because..." Dakota said, holding Sophie's chin and raised her head. "...because you possess an unnatural element," Dakota looked into Sophie's eyes. Sophie looked into Dakota's red eyes she was not angry but because of her eye color, she looked terrific. Though Dakota was comforting her. Sophie was panicking out of tension and sweating all over her face.

"Yes, you are right," Sophie broke the silence. Dakota let go of Sophie's chin.

Zale examines her through his eyes. He was standing straight near them, his hands were on both of the sides, stiffed.

Suddenly, Sophie started to feel a cool breeze on her face which dried her sweat.

"What should we do?" Laura interrupted with the question. Her body was towards Sophie but her eyes were on Xion.

"Should we practice or rest?" Laura asked.

"Another sycophant," Ikaria commented, chuckling.

"What the fuck," Laura yelled, turned around to Ikaria charging up, her eyes changed to air ball. Her hands shinned.

Ikaria rose, her chair vanished. She charged up, her eyes changed to water balls and her hands converted into a water gun but veins were visible.

They both stood head to head, was glaring into each other's eyes.

"Why the hell you all are so short-tempered," Sophie exploded, tightens her writs.

"Hell of a loud," Xion said.

Dakota got startled, slipped some steps back.

Suddenly Ikaria and Laura started to feel weak. They started to lose their power. Their flare started to fade and their hands began to visible.

"Thank you, Zale," Xion said. Zale nodded.

"What happened?" Sophie asked.

"Zale could control our powers as well boost," Xion explained.

"He could lower them as well turned them to their greatest level,"

Ikaria screamed and left the room with Abel.

"Meet you all later in the dining hall," Xion said, smiled. He with Dakota left the hall.

Zale without a word vanished from the hall.

"Where they all are going," Sophie asked, looking at Laura.

"They all are going to their dorms..." Laura said. "To rest."

In the headmaster's office.

Door opened.

"Thud"

Master Annon walked into the office, hurriedly.

"Master Annon..." Draven said, dropping his pen on the table.

"What happened?"

"Why you look so tense,"

"How can you be so relaxed..." Master Annon said. He sat on the chair, put his hand on the table.

"...a ticking bomb is on the loose,"

"I did not understand,"

"A Wharton is here,"

"Oh...Sophie Wharton," Draven removed his spectacles.

"Yes,"

"Master Wayne told me about her," Draven said.

"How can this happened?" Master Annon raised his eyebrows.

"We still don't know if she is the Wharton,"

"It is a common surname," Draven tried to calm Master Annon. He offered a glass of water to Master Annon.

"How is she even here," Master Annon took a sip of water.

"Accidently, she got the invitation,"

"How can that happened?" Master Annon asked. "Only you have that power,"

"I know, it's a glitch that which I am not aware of it yet,"

"I am afraid," He gets frightened.

"I hope you know about the prophecy,"

"I am well aware of that,"

"Kill her before that prophecy becomes true," Master Annon suggested.

"We do not kill people randomly," Draven said, stressed on the words.

"We are not killers,"

"Don't kid me and yourself," Master Annon said.

"We killed every Wharton because of that prophecy,"

Draven lifted his hand in the air and made a fist. Draven's expression changed. Suddenly Master Annon started to suffocate.

"Leave my throat..." Master Annon struggled to say.

"Watch what you say," Draven warned.

Master Annon gasped.

"I am sorry..." Master Annon said.

"...but you know we will be destroyed by a Wharton,"
