Chapter 1 - Goreback

Night arrived casting a dark twilight over Francis's isolated home, preparing for bed he went to turn off his porchlight. Before he could however he spotted a hairy monster standing in his front yard. The monster's name was Goreback, a hunter of men that left the forest to indulge in bloodsport. Goreback had course teal fur and bulbous blue eyes which were transfixed on Francis, it gave him a mocking smile which showed off its large fangs.

Strapped to its back was a quiver full of arrows, gleefully it notched an arrow in its bow, took aim and fired at Francis. Francis ducked his head just as the arrow shattered through the window, and then became embedded in the drywall. Retreating to the kitchen Francis searched vigorously for a knife to defend himself with, to his shock he finds that all his sharp utensils were missing. Unprepared for the stress of being hunted by a gruesome monster Francis screamed in panic as it suddenly jumped through the kitchen window.

Screaming in terror Francis fled to the far wall, shaking as he saw Goreback staring at him with a goofy smile on its face. Letting out a mimicking scream of what Francis's, making it clear that the murderous creature was sadistically enjoying tormenting his prey. Hunting for Goreback and his kind was not about food but the spectacle, as such they make sure to target isolated prey, and remove anything they could use as a weapon before the hunt begins. A realization Francis was starting to have, as he was wondering how long was he a target of his sadistic stalker?

Chuckling with malicious glee, Goreback was enjoying seeing his human prey in absolute terror, Francis was unable to move. Heart beats pounded against his chest, making each breath a quivering moan. Hunger burning in Goreback's guts as the temptation to devour the crestfallen human was too great for him to resist. Opening his mouth wide the large creature charged at Francis, who felt as though he was stuck in quicksand.

Eyes transfixed on the rapidly approaching black abyss hypnotized Francis, making him unable to move away as the beastly creature swallowed him whole. Coming to his senses in the darkness Francis struggled in his tight confines, feeling the stomach acids tickle his skin and scald his eyes he screamed for help, but no one could hear his pleas for rescue. Satisfied with its meal Goreback walks out the front door, as it rubbed its belly, which became bloated from its recent victim.

Greeting Goreback upon its exit of the house was a large gathering of its beastly kin, young and old cheering him after another successful kill. A spectacle that earned Goreback adulations similar to a football player winning the big game. Absolute joy of the merciless killer had reversed to complete agony. Feeling as if Goreback swallowed a hive of wasps, it kept belching out dark blue fluids.

Gripping its stomach it attempted to massage away the unbearable digestive woes. The crowd watched with horror as Goreback's torso pulsated and shook violently. Stepping back the once jubilant crowd were fearful that their idol was about to explode. Growls of Goreback's suffering were muted when a large popping sound filled the night air. That sound was of Goreback's organs rupturing, frozen in place Goreback held its stomach, as it felt a rush of fluids building pressure in its digestive tract. Rupturing organs flooded Goreback's insides with bodily fluids putting a lethal amount of pressure that needed to be released.

Unable to utter a sound the once talented hunter felt the pressure burst out of it, leaving it drained completely of life. Killed by the sudden release of its liquified innards Goreback felt forward, laying completely lifeless on the lawn. Emerging the monster's lethal bowel movement was Francis, who climbed to his feet, covered in sticky blue fluids, and smelling as if he bathed in garbage can juices. Finding himself surrounded by more creatures of the fiendish creatures, Francis felt his system crush his fear by an intense adrenaline rush.

Puffing out his chest he approached the cowering assembly of monsters and scared them off with a primal scream of dominance. Feeling in an instant the beasts fled to their forest homes to live out their lives traumatized of the events they witnessed. Worn out from that night's events Francis put the remains of Goreback in a garbage bag and left it on the curb for trash pickup. Then he spent hours showering all the sticky fluids from his body before going to bed, where he had the best sleep of his life.
