The morning was rather slow as Elisie methodically organized several shelves of a varied multitude of glass vials which contained a wide assortment of colorful substances. Elisie couldn't help but ponder the nature of these potions. One looked like liquid shadow in a bottle while another resembled molten lava but the vial was cold to the touch. The most awe inspiring of the batch projected a myriad of prismatic shapes when held in the sunlight.
However despite all the weird substances in the vials Elisie couldn't dismiss that a small part of her wonder how each potion taste. Does these bubbling red ones taste sour like cherries or are spicy like peppers. How does liquid shadow or light taste? Many wonderful ideas filled Elisie's mind but most of these were probably fantastical in terms of the actual taste.
Thoughts of food however tempted Elisie as seconds turned to minutes and minutes into hours as their task continued until moments after midday. With their task concluded Elisie couldn't hep herself any longer as a soft grumble escaped her tummy.
"Kia I am a hungry drogon! If I don't acquire sustenance I may find it elsewhere!" playfully teased Elisie before gently nibbling on Kia's shoulder.
"Yes yes. I did promise you lunch but if you don't mind your manners a bit of punishment maybe in order." said Kia with her trademark warm smile as her fingers gently tilted Elisie face towards her so their gazes met.
Elisie couldn't help but gently melt under that gaze. With cheeks red as roses she gently pulled away as she fiddled with her fingers behind her back. Kia couldn't help but gaze at the dragon girl with adoration stamped across her face.
"Well hurry up Elisie or I might just leave you here."
Placing the completed paperwork on her desk Kia had sauntered over to the doors before beckoning to the currently rebooting Elisie. Kia words had manage to snap Elisie back into place as she scampered to the door as she allowed the wonderful idea of the upcoming meal to over take her once more.
The pair stepped onto the winding stone brick path of Etherville with a delighted smiles as Kia's soft melodic whistles lead them trough the winding paths out of the harbor district through the town center and into the main market district.
The end of the path lead to the lightly stained wooden patio of a cafe at the edge of one of the main waterways that ran through the city of Etherville. It was small an elegant place by the name of the Green Treasures. The wooden decor of the cafe was amplified by intertwining trees which were magically grown to form both the main support for the structure as well as gentle shade from the sun's glow.
The canopy which sat above the table assign to Kia and Elisie help a bounty of colorful autumn leaves of reds and oranges which blended together in perfect harmony. If the sight was amazing the smells were even more delightful. Cinnamon, baked goods and wild berries wafted throughout the premises filling the customer with expectations for the delicious treats that awaited them.
Kia happily thanked the silver haired cat girl who had lead them to their seats and offered them a menu. After a few moments of deliberation the pair had decided on the signature green sweet teas, a collection of wild berry sandwiches and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The chirping of sound birds in perfect harmony filled the air with delightful ambient music as the pair waited for their meal.
"Is this place truly fantastically magical!" said the entranced dragon girl currently looking around like a kid in a candy shop.
"It definitely is and honestly it has suitable atmosphere for what I wanted to do?" replied Kia as they slowly took out a small black box with red ribbons from their bag.
"Hmmm? What do you mean?" quizzically asked Elisie as her eyes shifted onto the box.
"Elsie would you do me the honor of being my partner?" asked Kia sliding the box in front of Elisie.
"Huh!" yelped Elisie as her cheeks became rosy red and her brain began to fizzle out of existence while her heart rate quadrupled in the span of a few seconds.
