Just like before, what Luca had done didn't make any difference. Javier's body was still lying stiff and looking pale.
Luca's face which is now full of sweat, looks at Javier's body with a confused look. He had already performed resurrection magic twice and both had worked. If that failed, there would be no way for any light to emerge from his magic circle.
But why… why is Javier still not opening his eyes and his heart not beating?
Luca didn't know anymore.
"Luca? What happened?" asked Katherine, now looking agitated. She initially thought Luca did something to his first magic that kept Javier from coming back to life. Luca was a witch and Katherine didn't pay much attention to him when the man cast his spell. Katherine knew that Luca didn't like Javier and this was his chance to get rid of him once and for all.
However, after telling Luca to do that magic one more time and paying close attention. Luca did his magic properly. So, what happened?
"I don't know either, Lady Katherine. I did the magic right," said Luca while occasionally taking a breath. Using forbidden magic twice for the first time drained Luca's stamina.
"Maybe Lady Katherine should..."
Luca didn't continue when Katherine showed her fangs again and was quickly in front of his face. Cold sweat ran down Luca's back when he saw that.
"Luca Ridcully! Don't you dare say something like that!"
Katherine's cold words made Luca gulp and nod.
"I apologize, Lady Katherine."
Katherine immediately returned to Javier's side. She touched her husband's handsome face.
"Javier…" Katherine called softly and sadness in her voice.
If only… if only she could have come sooner…
If only she had chosen to run away again and not settle the business with her old family…

Unknowingly, tears began to roll down Katherine's pale cheeks. She was very sorry. There was still so much she wanted to do with Javier, but why… Why didn't he wake up soon?
"Javier… Baby… please, wake up. You do look handsome when you sleep like this, but you are much more handsome with your eyes open. So… wake up, please," said Katherine who was now starting to sob and beat Javier's chest softly.
Luca who saw the sight could only remain silent even though he wanted to grab Katherine and hug her. His heart ached when he saw that.
"Get up! Javier! You know I can't live without you…"
Katherine immediately wiped her tears after saying that.
Right! Why had she forgotten about it?
"Lady Katherine?! What are you doing?!" Luca asked when he saw Katherine scratch her own hand and fresh blood gushing out of the scratch. Though it didn't last long as Katherine's healing abilities were extraordinary.
"Luca! Attack me with your greatest magic!" said Katherine, feeling that what she was doing was lacking.
"What do you mean? How could I attack you, Lady Katherine…"
Luca's words immediately stopped and his expression immediately shocked when he saw Katherine was dripping blood near Javier's lips.
"Lady Katherine, are you trying to…?" asked Luca who still couldn't believe what he saw.
Katherine nodded.
"Yes. Now I realize that I can't live without Javier. I'm going to turn him into a vampire and now we can't be separated anymore! So hurry up and attack me! I need a lot of blood!" said Katherine, now sounding excited.
When she first starts a relationship with Javier, Katherine knew that they would eventually separate because humans have a limited lifespan. However, even though she knew that, Katherine never intended to turn Javier into a vampire, just like her.
Javier is a kind and loving man, Katherine can't let him go prey on humans and kill them to survive. The man must have chosen to end his own life. Even though she knew it was going to happen, Katherine did what she was doing.
Right now, Katherine just wanted to see her husband open his eyes and talk to him.
"Luca! Attack me! I need more blood!" said Katherine when she saw that the amount of blood that had come out was very small and Javier had not yet woken up.
"But…" Luca hesitated a little. How could he attack Katherine?
"Luca Ridcully!" Katherine snapped again with a sharp look. Why is Luca always denying her words these days?
Luca sighed, then stood in his position and started chanting a spell. Luca grimaced slightly in pain as he chanted the spell, as if the spell wouldn't listen to him anymore.
"I'm sorry, Lady Katherine," said Luca then suddenly coughed up blood.
Katherine just glanced at Luca, she didn't have time to worry about him. Now her focus is solely on Javier, her husband.
"Come on, wake up, Javier!" Katherine called after feeling that her blood was enough to turn Javier into a vampire.
Actually, turning a human into a vampire is very easy. Humans only need to drink a little blood from vampires and soon they will become vampires.
However, Javier is a different case. So Katherine gave more of her blood.
"Javier?" called Katherine one more time.
"..."
Luca was sitting in pain while leaning against the wall, trying to get up when he felt someone enter and approach this house. Even though the barrier he created earlier had been broken by Christine and Leonardo, Luca could still sense who was crossing it.
One… Two… Ten… Twenty…
"What happened? Why do so many people come close to this place?" thought Luca in confusion.

"Just like what Lady Christine said, Luca used forbidden magic. How did you know that?" asked Leonardo when he and Christine finally came out of a village, and he could feel the movement of nature a little different than usual.
At first, Leonardo doubts Christine, who tells him to pay attention to the movement of nature and informs when Luca will use forbidden magic.
What they were talking about was Luca, the witch who was least likely to use forbidden magic. Besides being a witch who is loved by nature, which makes it impossible for him to sacrifice his relationship with nature, Luca is assigned to serve Katherine, a vampire who never uses Orders.
So Leonardo couldn't help but ask how Christine knew about it.
"Of course, I know Katherine very well. She must have ordered her witch to bring that mere human back to life," said Christine with a proud smile, as if she had done something great.
"Ah.. Resurrection magic. In that case, won't that human come back to life?" asked Leonardo.
Just like Luca, Leonardo knew how to use Resurrection magic and what that magic could do.
Doesn't that mean their efforts tonight will be in vain?
Christine just smiled and didn't answer the question. She then looked at the ring on her ring finger.
"You'd be a good tool to mess with Katherine," thought Christine with a sardonic smile.
