Chapter 3 - Why Did You Almost Kill My Witch?

"Ahh, my clothes got blood! Even though I plan to return without leaving a blood stain! " Katherine grumbled when she realized that her clothes were covered in blood. She did her best to keep looking clean so that her husband wouldn't get suspicious when she came home and changed her clothes.

"Well it looks like I have to hurry and hurry back so Javier is still sleeping," thought Katherine, who had already worked out her plans when she returned home.

She would wash the clothes she wore to get rid of the blood stains after which she would make breakfast for her husband. If her husband is not awake then she will go to wake him up.

"But do I have to wake him up? He must still be tired. What if I wake him up and he pulls me onto the bed then… Kyaaa! " Katherine held her cheeks hot as she imagined that.

Katherine's reverie did not last long when she again noticed a wind approaching her.

Katherine, who was at the top of the tree, hurriedly jumped down and ran toward the direction the wind was coming from.

"You! How dare you interfere with my precious reverie! " said Katherine coldly, glaring at the man who was turning his back.

The man was surprised to find that Katherine was already behind him. He knew that vampires had super speed abilities, but he didn't expect Katherine to be that fast standing behind him.

The man was about to turn around to attack Katherine but suddenly he felt an excruciating pain in the neck.

"ARGHHH! How could you…. " the man did not continue because he had lost consciousness.

"Hmmm ... not bad, it's been a while since I drank fresh blood from other people," Katherine said, licking the blood that came out of her lips.

Katherine then dodged again when she felt another magic attack coming near her.

"Oh ... even though I thought this was the last witch, it turns out that there are still other witch who are hiding," thought Katherine, who was now hiding in a tree.

"Even though I've killed one ... two ... three ... ah I don't know, I'm too lazy to count them!" Katherine muttered softly and returned to focus on sniffing out the lingering smell.

"Is he disguising his smell like a vampire, huh?" thought Katherine who was confused because of the smell that was there besides the smell of blood, only the smell of vampire left.

"Ah well, there are only two people left. I have to finish them off! "

***

A woman who saw how Katherine annihilated her troops could only clench her fists tightly. She brought 10 witches to come with her to catch Katherine

But Katherine had killed the nine of them.

"She ... has become so strong," muttered the woman irritably. Even though before coming here she was very sure she could catch Katherine because the troops she brought were quite powerful witches.

Who would have thought that Katherine would finish them off so easily.

The woman then glanced at the only remaining magician in the place, giving a code that the current situation was not possible for them and they should return immediately.

But her eyes immediately widened when she realized that behind the man stood someone who was none other than Katherine.

"Katherine, wait a minute!" the woman unconsciously screamed and came out of hiding.

Katherine, who was about to tear the man in front of her, immediately fell silent when she heard such a familiar voice.

"Christine…" Katherine muttered quietly when she finally saw a woman walking toward them.

The woman was still the same as Katherine remembered, still pale white skin with an expression that always looked cheerful, what made it a little different was that she looked more mature than the last time Katherine remembered.

The man Katherine was about to kill hurriedly approached the woman who had just come out of hiding. While protecting the woman behind him, the man began to mutter an incantation.

Katherine, who had been a little surprised at the sight of someone she knew, immediately returned to her position to attack. Fighting the witch head-on up close was a little troublesome as she didn't know how fast they could cast their spells.

Moreover, the man in front of him smelled a little strange, he was clearly a witch but he smelled like a vampire.

"Leonardo, stop it," Christine said, patting the shoulder of the man in front of her and walking forward.

"Lady Christine," the man called Leonardo, wanted to protest because from their current distance, he believed he could attack Katherine.

Christine turned and looked at Leonardo, giving him a signal for him to shut up and obey.

Katherine, who had been standing in her position, stared at the two of them with suspicious eyes, she stared in turn at the two of them.

The man in front of him is a witch but from his smell like a vampire, that man also looks close to Christine, maybe...

"You two have a special relationship, huh?" guessed Katherine, still looking carefully at the two of them.

She did know Christine but that didn't mean she'd let his guard down.

Christine, who heard that, flinched a little before finally regaining her emotions.

"What do you mean? You think I have a special relationship with a lowly witch, Katherine?" Christine said sharply and looked annoyed.

The man behind her was silent when he heard that, but Katherine managed to detect a hint of disappointment in the expression on his face.

"What do you mean there, it's obvious he's ..."

"Enough. Why did you attack my witch?"

Katherine looked back at Christine, who was interrupting her with a confused look.

She meant to tell that the witch had a vampire-like scent which indicated that the witch was involved in something with a vampire. Given Christine's closeness to the man, that was the only conclusion Katherine could think of.

Even though Katherine knows that there is a male vampire out there, the man in front of her is clearly still a witch and doesn't show any special signs that a vampire has.

"So he doesnt show any particular signs because he's a man, huh?" thought Katherine, watching the man.

Katherine immediately shook her head at the thought. it really is impossible.

Vampire can never learn magic. Even though they had healing abilities like healing magic, they couldn't learn magic. Katherine herself had tried it when she wanted to learn magic from Luca.

Who wouldn't want to attack the enemy with just a few words?

Likewise the smell of a vampire, there is no magic that can remove or create a distinctive smell from a vampire. Katherine was annoyed by the smell she had because her family could easily find her so she asked Luca to learn about it, but no matter how many times Luca tried, the talented witch never managed to get rid of it.

"So why did you almost kill my witch, Katherine?"
