Chapter 5 - Let Me Go and I'll Forgive You

Katherine immediately opened her eyes when she regained consciousness. The first thing she felt when she opened her eyes was the pain in her ankles and hands. Katherine tried to move her legs and arms but she couldn't because her arms and legs seemed to be being held back by something.

Of course Katherine tried to unleash it with her strength, but her current position was sitting with her arms and legs held back by something that made it a little difficult, especially since the magic effect was still a little felt.

"You can't take it off. Those are handcuffs made of silver."

Katherine, who had been busy trying to get rid of her painful hands and feet, immediately turned her head when a familiar voice resounded in her ears.

In front of her stood a woman with pale white skin, long black hair, and lips that were as red as blood.

"Looks like you live well, mama," said Katherine who recognized the woman wearing a black dress in front of her. She didn't forget to add a tone of mockery to her sentence.

"Mama, does the next plan have to be done now? The sun will soon appear."

Katherine, who was originally in her human form, immediately turned into a vampire when she heard that very familiar voice. She looked at the woman who had just walked over to the woman who had been standing in front of her.

"Christine, you ..." Katherine said angrily. She had no idea that Christine would set her up like that. When Katherine thought again, from the start there were two vampire scents that smelled by her and until she approached the magic circle, there were still two vampire scents that smelled.

That meant Christine was there from the start!

Christine who approached the woman who was called mama looked at Katherine with a mocking smile before finally looking back at the woman.

"What? You can't finish it before the sun comes up?" asked the woman back. Her tone sounded contemptuous.

"Huahahaha," Katherine couldn't hide her laughter when she heard this.

"Ohh Christine, it looks like you really want to be recognized by mama, huh? But it's a shame, even though you have brought me like this but mama never seems to admit you," said Katherine, laughing contemptuously.

"Shut up!" said Christine, who approached Katherine, showing her fangs.

"Christine! Enough! You can go!" said the woman who had seen Christine who was about to injure Katherine.

"Yes, go ahead. Your form is really ridiculous, I could die laughing at this point, hahaha. Do you call those fangs? Those fangs can bite humans, right?" said Katherine, still scornful.

Christine who heard this immediately raised her hand and slapped Katherine's cheek, not forgetting she left a little scratch there.

Katherine turned her head, her shoulder-length black hair moving along with her head and covering the cheek that Christine had just slapped. The slap didn't hurt even though Katherine could feel the blood running down her cheek before it finally stopped and the scratches on her cheek also disappeared.

"It's amazing. Your wound is healing fast," said the woman, who now grabbed Katherine's chin and turned her head toward her. She then touched Katherine's cheek, which still had traces of blood, but it felt as soft as ever, as if there had not been a scratch on it.

Seeing this, the woman could not hide her joy and admiration.

Katherine stared at the woman she was calling mama with hate before finally regaining her expression. Even though she was eager to beat up the people who were there, Katherine remembered Luca's message to talk to her mother.

"Mama, I want to talk," said Katherine, finally, who had now transformed back into her human form. She looked up to see the woman who had just removed her hand from her chin.

"Hmm?" the woman asked, looking at Katherine or rather at Katherine's feet, which were handcuffed made of silver.

It had been about 10 minutes since the handcuffs were put on her hands and ankles, but her hands and ankles looked like they were fine.

The woman could see Katherine's burnt ankles, but the next second it was recovering.

"She has a wonderful regeneration," thought the woman when she saw Katherine's leg which looked fine. She initially thought Katherine was trying to look strong by not screaming in pain, but as soon as she saw Katherine's leg, she knew immediately that she was not in pain .

"Mama, I want out of this family," said Katherine aloud.

Katherine could hear a commotion behind her when she uttered these words. from the beginning she suspected that she was not alone with her mother in this place that looks like an old building, the building feels foreign to her, indicating that her family has moved places.

"What did you say?" asked the woman in a voice trembling full of anger. She who previously looked like a human, has now changed into her vampire form.

"Say it one more time!" the woman said angrily.

Katherine could see that the woman she was calling mama looked very angry, but she didn't care at all. She wanted to live freely in this moment without fear that one day her family would come after her.

She didn't want to put Javier in danger.

"I want to get out of our family," said Katherine, who was completely unafraid. She even glared at her mother.

"Don't you already know the rules ..."

"Ahh those nonsense rules? Isn't that really nonsense? We have to hate humans, hate men, and the last one must always be with our families," said Katherine, mentioning her family rules that she thought made no sense.

"Well I understand why we hate humans because they often hunt us, but we have to hate men? How can we hate sexy creatures?" continued Katherine, who did not understand why her mother had enforced the rule to hate all men, even though their witch servant was a man.

"Regarding the rules that must always be with family. Now, you guys have attacked me like this, isn't it too late for us to be called a family? So let me go from this family and I'll forgive you," said Katherine finished her explanation.

Katherine stared at the woman in front of her who was just standing there. She actually wanted to end this with force, but Luca warned her to just talk. Seeing her mother who was just silent, it seems like her efforts to talk to her have been successful, right?
